Great place to stay while on safari! We were a group of five doing two weeks safari across Zimbabwe and spent three nights at the Hide. Very idyllic location and scenic views across the valley. Nโ€™Kosi was our guide and he was very nice and very knowledgeable of all the wildlife and surroundings. We saw lions, elephants, giraffe, leopard, zebra, wildebeest, baboons, kudu, steinbach, impala, ostrich, buffalo, lilac breasted rollers, eagles, three species of hornbill, vultures, and many other cool animals. The accommodations were very nice even though we stayed at the coldest time of the year and the staff is also very nice and accommodating. Enjoy!

I am working here on a promotional video for The Hide Safari Camp. You feel like you are really in the African Bush here. The welcome, through to the spacious tented accommodations - all different levels to accommodate families, private lodging area, honey moon tents - they are very luxurious and comfortable, all with their unique African style. The main water pan right in front of the A framed main meeting area, pumps water for the dry season which is through Zimbabwe's winter, June through to the hot season of september/October before the rains come. Ideally the best time to visit would be September, as then natural rain water and grazing is short, and all the game come to drink from the pumped water pan directly in front of the A frame structure. This makes an ideal place for people to see African wildlife in it's natural habitat without being in danger. The Hide is literally a safe underground tunnel ending right near the water pan, where people can get really close to seeing the game drinking - absolutely brilliant! There are game drives with trained guides, showing you not only the land wild animals such as lion, cheetah, leopard, elephant, giraffe, warthogs, jackals, hyena, different species of buck, spotted dogs, honey badger (the list is endless and exciting, but sadly no rhino due to the terrible poaching of these beautiful creatures over the past), but also the amazing different and colourful species of birds, both local to Africa and migrating flocks. The food is lovely; the hospitality is wonderful - Zimbabwean people are always so friendly; the surroundings are peaceful and full of fantastic game; the accommodation is restful and comfortable - what more does one need for that truly brilliant African wildlife experience!.

No wonder its a consistent performer. Its got a nice homely service with everything provided for including free laundry sans underwear. Food is very good breakfast is continental. But snacks are providedโ€‹ as well as on picnics The view however is not pretty at this time as it is a wet season and only few animals can get closer to the lodge. Our game drives are also average as the park is too vast and animals are scattered everywhere and not as much because there's lot of watering holes for them to feed.

Great accommodation and guiding. Saw many animals though density of wildlife much less than Serengeti. All inclusive but be sure to have us dollars cash for when you leave but are still in Zimbabwe

The Hide provided the most incredible trip of a lifetime experiences in more ways than one! We had so many โ€˜pinch meโ€™ moments out on safari, and staying in their beautifully situated camp. The Doves Nest exceeded any expectations and provided the most perfect and surreal backdrop for my partner to get down on one knee and ask me to marry him! A truly memorable engagement! The level of service we experienced before our engagement was already 5 star, and then somehow they took it to the next level. They created even more magical moments for us, truly making it the trip of a lifetime! Thank you The Hide and your beautiful staff, a place that will always hold a special place in our hearts!

We didnโ€™t stay at the lodge, however visited the reserve. The guides were amazing and the area full of animals. A great experience.
