Wonderful taste of Indian Pakistani food. Owner is Pakistani from Cavalary Ground Lahore area & the father of the owner was an Indian. The owner is very particular regarding the taste, quality and services and he monitors everything along with very good customer Care. We had buffet dinner which comprised Fresh salad, white rice, Daal (lentils) , Aloo Mata, Ckicken Tikka , ckicken Saalan, Naan & Halwa. Yea was offered after dinner. Halwa was offered as sweet dish. Halwa was very soft & delicious. Over all experience was excellent. Highly recommended for for Pakistani/Indian food lovers.

I came from New York and trust me the food is so delicious and place is always packed. Extremely nice, professional and well trained and customer oriented staff. I am so happy that I tried this restaurant and owner goes to each table all day to make sure the quality of the food. He is super nice as well. The best Indian and Pakistani restaurant in Istanbul. I definitely recommend to please try it once and you will be addicted to the taste.

Couldn’t believe that this place was so close to our hotel but we only discovered it on the last day of our trip. They have Indian and Pakistani chefs so it’s the best of both. We called for the vegetable samosas that were brilliant. Perfectly fresh ! We also called for Butter naan, Chicken Tikka Masala and Plain Biryani rice. Great quality and excellent taste. The service is also very good. Highly recommended!

A lovely place and delicious food . Purely the best place for Indian food in almost most of Istanbul , well that's how much I was in for Istanbul. The cook really knows to cook the way Indians like. Lovely staff. The owner oh I was so happy to meet him. Would like to eat again and again at this place

It was nice to see this Pakistani owned Indian Restaurant. I had a buffet dinner here and what I liked most was BIRYANI! After days of eating less spicy Turkish food, I attacked the biryani lile crazy, although, it was lil bit spicy but rita made it wow! The owner of this restaurant, Mr. Imran, is from Lahore, Pakistan, but he welcomes everyone with love. I've eaten there with Pakistanis, Indians, and Afghanis and noticed that no one has hatred against anyone. We all have eaten food peacefully, while discussing about each other cultures and traditions. Would love to visit here again. Kudos to Mr. Imran!

Just the correct place to go for Indian cuisine!! Don't miss this place. Using correct ingredients is the key and this is what they do. Brilliant food.

We got the butter naan, the butter chicken and the grilled chicken tikka. All were pretty good but for the high price it was just okay. The service was a bit slow, definitely a tourist location. This place didn’t wow me so I don’t think I will be returning, but it wasn’t completely abysmal.

Must eat out here if in Istanbul. Truly scrumptious Indian food and great service. Samosas were delicious. ! 😍 They serve complimentary achar and mint chutney as in India☺️ Mr Imran have brought in Indian chef from Chandigarh Mr Singh and Mr Kamran from Pakistan, so you can completely rely for the most authentic taste

A Nice place if you are seeking delicious Pakistani / Indian food in Istanbul, or I can say best place in surrounding of Taksim Square area. We were there 90 people together a complete group of electrical delaers from Pakistan from Universal Cables and Cable Linkers. I'm not fond of Indian/Pakistani food, whenever I'm in traveling abroad, but with a group, I had to go with friends. Chicken Qorma, Chicken Biryani, Sweet and especially thier Daal Rice was fantastic, and Tandoori Roti.. ufff I never tasted a delicious roti before even in Pakistan. Ofcource it's expensive than local food like Turkish cuisines or Arabic, but I can say that's the best choice for indo-Pak food there. After the group dinner, we went back Musafir Restaurant again, than we came to know, when we paid 155 Turkish Lira per head, that how much costly if you are eating Desi food there. Restaurant is ♿Accessible for wheelchairs and for the people who have different abilities.

I visited this place earlier as well, and they were good… but today’s food was terrible… some random masala in Samosa and the tea was really bad… not sure who is cooking

The food is good. I liked the lamb a lot. The garlic bread is not made with fresh garlic and it doesn’t taste the same; that’s a no no. Family owned, good price and quality. The atmosphere is not the greatest but food is good so it warms the heart

Was fed up with kebabs so visited this place. Food was good and tasty. Chef prepared Meat Biryani even if it wasn't on the menu. Must visit I only went once as I came to know about the place towards the end of my holiday. Would have loved to go again. 😊

Food is average, over priced for the quality and service. You do get however Indian tasting dishes. Washroom was dirty

  • 5/5 Oxana 2 years ago on Google
Authentic Indian cuisine!!! The atmosphere, the music, the smells and the staff are wonderful!! A mega delicious menu! If it's your first time with Indian cuisine, I would recommend you to go 'orta acil/ mild spicy' not to end up crying :) The rice and the spices are imported directly from India, that's why the prices are a bit above average but the portions are good and the quality of food is absolutely worth it. Give a try to the mango lassa (a type of drink) - too good to comment!

Excellent restaurant with probably the best butter chicken between Delhi and London. Friendly owners and reasonably priced! Immediately becomes the go to restaurant for Indian fix!

Great Ambience with Affordable price. The Indian foods are just like home made. We tried Butter chicken, Chicken anchari, Chicken Handy, Butter chicken, palak paneer, Garlic nun, Jeera rice and the great Papad with chat masala. And the end I must say “Chicken Nihari” made by honour himself was delicious. Imrån Munir Rana vai, is such a nice and humble person with great smile..

Its a melting pot. A meeting point, A katta in a typically Indian lingo. So here goes our story... My husband and I were in Turkey for 10 days in November. The love for travelling and delectable food runs in our veins. First 5 days were good, excited to taste new Turkish cuisines, local food and drinks, coffees, tea etc. But on the 6th day our mind, tongue & heart were searching for an Indian food. Simple dal chawal would have sufficed our need and hunger. First 6 days we were in other cities of Turkey and from 7th day onwards we were in Istanbul. The happening city. Luckily we were staying in Taksim Square & our reception staff gave us the direction to this Indian restaurant, Not the name of this restaurant but just a rough direction. We had just returned from Cappadocia and terribly hungry but we decided to eat only in an Indian restaurant. So we walked and walked, searching for this restaurant. Few wrong rights & few correct lefts landed us to this place.. We ordered for a simple dal tadka, jeera rice, naan & mutter paneer. The moment we received it we jumped over it like a hungry fox, our hearts were going Ummmm!!! And the taste was surreal. Second day we had to visit Uludag mountain in Bursa. Our only aim was to rush back and visit the same restaurant to relish their Chicken Biryani. And so was the third day. Over these three days we met Indians, felt like home, laughed, shared memories even though we were to return in next 2 days but meeting a fellow Indian was like hitting a jackpot & definitely the Indian cuisine & spices has its wonders too.. Musafir as its name suggests, it touches the soul' Lovely food, heart-warming staff & a good ambience...

Surely the most authentic Indian food one can find in Istanbul! Would definitely remind you of Indian food you get back home. Amazing flavours, tender meat and good portions. Kudos to Mr Raja and his team at Musafir Istanbul.
