Jeff:
My
wife
and
I
were
spending
an
evening
in
Istanbul
walking
through
several
areas.
There
are
so
many
restaurants
with
great
looking
Turkish
menus
but
we
had
spent
a
long
day
visiting
the
incredible
sights
and
were
looking
for
a
place
to
relax
as
much
as
to
eat.
We
saw
this
one
restaurant
down
a
bit
off
the
busier
streets
that
looked
interesting.
We
looked
at
the
menu
and
the
owner
and
host,
Cella,
visited
with
us
without
urging
us
to
come
in.
We
decided
“Oh
lets
just
sit
down
and
have
a
beer,
and
we
can
think
about
it.”
Long
story
short,
we
had
one
of
the
finest
restaurant
visits
on
our
long
trip.
We
were
first
pleasantly
surprised
to
be
given
Turkish
flat
bread
and
siyah
zeytin
ezmesi,
or
black
olive
paste.
We
ordered
a
Shepherds
Salad
and
lamb
Mutancana
to
share.
They
brought
us
baklava
after
our
meal.
Then,
Cella’s
brother,
Antonio
visited
with
us
and
then
offered
us
Turkish
coffee,
tea
or
a
number
of
other
drinks,
we
opted
for
the
tea.
Everything
was
delicious,
the
wine
was
great
and
the
overall
atmosphere
was
enjoyable.
Every
employee
(I
believe
family
based),
were
attentive
without
being
overbearing.
They
were
not
only
super
nice
to
us
but
showed
a
total
respect
for
one
another
–
which
we
appreciate.
This
was
a
perfect
evening
with
great
food
and
a
very
relaxing
setting.
