Excellent restaurant with an incredible view and the food is also super good, especially the ceviche. Just as a recommendation to the owners, change the recipe for the tortillas a bit, but otherwise it's incredible, very good cocktails, thank you very much! very good recommendation to go in istanbul

Views are amazing, drinks are good, staff are perfectly nice, food is average, prices are high. This place is described better as a Mexican style restaurant. We tried various margaritas, tacos, enchiladas and some starters. The tacos are relatively small, and you get two, so you’re looking for two plates per person. The tortilla chips and various dips were let down by the quality of the dips and guacamole. The enchiladas were perfectly fine, though a little soggy. The various drinks and cocktails on the menu are relatively small, mostly ice, but very enjoyable nether the less. This is definitely a tourist place, so come here for the views and know you’re overpaying, not the food.

As much as I wanted to love this place (I love Mexican) - it fell short on so many levels. Guac unripe avocados. Black beans undercooked. Asparagus tacos burnt veggies. A bland enchilada dish. I was very unimpressed by this place - though views and service are great !

Not great, It tries to go fancy and the view is great admittedly. The food however is lacking, the taco shells and chips are cold (which makes no sense to me). Appetizers are can be good but again, for the price you'd think they would have a better handle on temperature, everything is cold. (btw been here 4 or 5 times and the same thing always happens). cocktails are really good, and I do appreciate what their trying to do but it just falls a bit short. Clearly someone trying to replicate the food in an expensive way basically.

I don’t understand why they call it a Mexican restaurant when everyone working there is Turkish, I think they learned how to make their food by watching YouTube videos (with subtitles on because nobody spoke Spanish! )😆 Also, the service is way below average. I’ve had Mexican food but this tastes nothing like it (not that horrible though)🙃

A solid entry with good food and drink. Portions are comically small but the views are great.

Very slow & horrible service. They took us for fools and tried to charge us for drinks we didn't even order. The bill came up to €200 even though we only ordered 3 drinks & 1 taco. Naturally we checked the bill & caught them red-handed trying to trick us into paying more. Then they took AN HOUR to service us margaritas. The service was so slow I could have went to culinary school, graduated, curated the food myself, served it to myself & ate it AND THAT WOULD HAVE TAKEN LESS TIME THAN IT TOOK THEM TO SERVE OUR FOOD. Never again will I come to this place or suggest it to my worst enemies. It's been 4 months and I still have nightmares about this place to this day...

This place has a great view, and if I want to go back it will be exclusively for that! The food flavors and tastes are fair, nothing special; everything will taste better when it has the right spices. Not the best tacos.

This is 5-star service, food but above all VIEW!!!!! One of the best Istanbul view here. Also, the staff was so incredibly nice, polite and caring with us. They really deserve to be visited, we will be back!!

Honest review! The shrimp salad was a BAD i would not recommend it to anyone. HOWEVER!!! The carne tacos are great (steak) The chili con carne tacos were spicy AND THE BEST, as for the quesadillas the chicken was REALLY GOOD! They have spicy drinks which is tough if you don’t like it spices. Dennis the owner took care of us, MAKE RESERVATIONS THREE DAYS AHEAD!!!

Absolutely spectacular view of the mosques and Istanbul. I had the fish tacos and the flavors were off/competing with each other. The Queso Fundido and Churros were delicious.

Service is good and really good unique cocktails but the problem I had with this institution is the relative small portions. 2 tacos a plate and no rice or beans. If you eat Mexican food the key thing is large portions. My reason for 2 stars is the view is great which of course that's what this place is capitalizing on. I would recommend for one night with friends or romantic evening for a couple but don't expect to be wowed as the tacos were tasty but like I stated small portions which is cheaply portrayed of any Mexican claiming restaurant.

Amazing rooftop view! Went for afternoon drinks and apps, nice guacamole and beans. Lovely wine and margaritas. Worth it for a view and afternoon time-out.

Great location with a grand view. Definitely recommend it especially for the view. We had a couple of lamb main courses. The lamb leg in honey was very good, although the rice was super spicy! They don't have burritos and my friends tell me that their tacos are not the typical tacos. So if you want to experiment, go ahead and try while you soak in the view.

Great view and mexican food but too expensive food. 1. Paid for 2 carne de res tacos which actually looked so petite - tasted like kebap not the mexican tacos. Lack of heat and chili which pushed me to ask for red salsa which also came with a price of around 2 euro for a red sauce. In South America, salsa roja y salsa verde are free. 2. Ceviche - they said with octopus but I didnt feel it. Good for experience but that’s all. Find something else, far from the mexican expectations in my own opinion. 3. Helpful staff in all fairness

The top reason to go here is for the view. It is like having the Galata tower view without all the people. You will see the entire Golden Horn - including the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi palace, blue mosque from here. The food was good, but not great. Vegetarian options were very limited (only one dish in main course, and 2 in starters / tacos). We filled ourselves up with Guac and the enchiladas. Make sure to request for extra salsa as the enchiladas were a little dry without the guac and salsa.

Los Altos is a hidden gem in Istanbul! If you’re looking for an amazing view, great cocktails and a chill vibe- you have to go here! Be sure to make a reservation if you want a table on the edge with a view and their chilli mango margarita is the bomb! We tried their guacamole and it was too sour for our liking and even though we sent it back to the kitchen 3 times, it came back the same! Maybe it’s pre made so they couldn’t do anything about it :)

True fine dine Mexican restaurant with an affordable price, georgous bosphorus view. Try octopus, smoky ceviche, the desert they offer.. also tacos are cool. Love it!

The view is breathtaking and the food is excellent. Very spicy aguachile. Almost like a speak easy to get into. Take the elevator to floor 4, then walk up to the terrace. It may look closed but don’t be fooled if coming after 3:00 pm. Highly recommend!

It is a sophisticated restaurant with a very comprehensive menu. Ambience really gives it a feeling of the culture. The view on the other hand completes the experience. It was not just food but an experience.

Such an amazing experience and dinner we had! I didn’t like Mexican food and drinks but my partner has. After this place I will definitely continue my trip to “Mexican kitchen and bar” 🤩 Amazing food (even that spicy taste was perfect for that food and cocktails, a specially cocktails 🤪🍹), we tried many dishes but it was so pleasant evening so I stopped to make any pictures 🤤 DEFINITELY RECOMMEND , a specially for the evening ✔️🔥😎

Well prepared Mexican food and drinks. Attentive waiters. Amazing view of the Golden Horn from the rooftop terrace. A little difficult to find in the building. Elevator on main level was not working. Climbed some stairs and the elevator took me up the rest of the way to the roof top terrace. A bit pricey (see menu uploaded) but overall good value. Many diners here. Best to make a reservation.

Will not come back again. The food hardly resemble Mexican. The only thing we were happy about, they had a choice of pork dishes and it wasn’t cooked nicely. Very poor and slow service.

GREAT Mexican restaurant!! Guac was delicious, the view is gorgeous, and the staff are SO friendly. Cocktails were hand crafted and unique. Don’t expect authentic Mexican food (you are far from Mexico, duh) but I enjoyed their take on dishes and it was all very tasty. Tortillas were just as good as back home in California. Thank you!

Let me start off by saying the view here is spectacular! I ordered the Aguachile for a starter and loved it. I then ordered Tacos de Carne and was disappointed with the portion size for the cost. There are only 2 tacos nothing else included. Left here feeling hungry. Also tortilla chips are at an added cost which I am not used too seeing at a Mexican restaurant. Cocktails were very impressive on a positive note. Had a good experience all in all here.
