A small ornate mosque with two minarets. The influence of the Baroque style is visible! There is a marina nearby and therefore it is very noisy and crowded around. To the right of the mosque there is a small backwater with boats and a bunch of ducks. To the left of the mosque there is a large parking lot and Dolmachche Palace. I think it can be combined with a visit to this palace!

THE DOLMABAHCE MOSQUE The construction the Dolmabahce Mosque was started with the order of the Bezmi Alem Valide Sultan and completed by his son Sultan Abdulmecid after she died in 1853, and designed by Garabet Balyan. The mosque, the real name of which Bezmialem Valide Sultan Mosque, was opened to worship with a Friday prayer in 1855. The mosque was constructed as a mix of baroque, rococo, and empire styles with the localized art background and taste with an interesting interpretation. The dome in the contrary of the classical architecture was placed directly over the walls and in order to prevent the walls opening to the sides due to the load they are carrying rectangular shaped heavy weight towers were placed on the corners. The front façade of the mosque which was built of stone and marble is covered with the Hunkar Summer Palace of two storeys which extends out from two sides. The summer palace consists of an "L" shaped wind which projects out on two sides and an inside center body. The minarets which were separated from the main body of the mosque are on two corners of the summer palace. The minarets are distinctive with their long thin forms and riffle bodies the bottom of the balconies was decorated with acanthus leaves. The mosque was reached through the Hunkar Summer Palace; here as in the Hunkar Sumnmer Palace through lots of windows very illuminated space was created. The ground of the sanctuary was covered of brick, its dome interiors and pendentives were ornamented in western style with gold and oil painting handcrafts. The baroque decorations were used on the mihrab and the mimbar which shows marble work. The mosque which was used as the Sea Museum between 1948 and 1961 together with the Hunkar Summer Palace was opened two sanctuaries after the museum was moved to its new building.

I call this the clock tower mosque because it looks kind of like a clock❤️ My dad and I also call it the bathroom free mosque. Because we always seem to stop by that one. They keep it so clean and there is always space. We prayed most of our prayers there in turkey 🇹🇷

Gorgeous historical mosque. Unlike many mother mosques of Istanbul, this mosque is not as large but extremely cozy and beautiful inside. Pink ornaments, picturesque wall paintings and unique architecture make it one of the must places to visit when you are in Istanbul.

The mosque looks beautiful from outside and is very close to the palace. We were unable to go in as construction or renovation was being done. It is still impressive to look at and is on the way if you are walking from the palace to the port.

Dolmabahçe Mosque is part of the Dolmabahçe Palace complex, and it is said to have been commissioned by Sultan Abdulmejid's mother. It is located to the southwest of Dolmabahçe Palace. If you take the T1 tram line to the Kabataş terminal and walk 500 meters, you will come across this mosque. For specific directions, you can refer to the video I have posted on youtube: Turkey Istanbul Trip Dolmabahçe Palace professional! Detailed info wont be repeated here. This mosque is one of the few nearby that you can visit without purchasing a ticket. It serves as an overture to exploring Dolmabahçe Palace. Inside the mosque, it's easy to capture expansive shots, making it suitable for wide-angle lens photography.

Dolmabahce Mosque located at the Bosphorus where you could see the Bosphorus right there out the window. Very beautiful mosque and small mosque. Toilets and wudu/abdesthane is available for free. Must visit when you are visiting Dolmabahce Palace or the Dolmabahce cafe right next to it.

A pretty mosque outside of the Dolmabahce palace. The mosque is probably more worth visiting than the palace itself.

Beautiful mosque - very tranquil and not as busy as some of the others. Good place to relax and rest. We end our tour of the palace here. The metro station is about 10-15min walk from here.

A hidden gem!!! Quiet, cozy, picturesque wall paintings, and extremely beautiful interior. The mosque has twin minarets and is distinguished by the huge stone arches on its facades which are cut with large windows, allowing light to flood the interior. Spot 10-20 min to explore the beauty. Highly recommended!!!

Beautiful mosque mashallah, especially at night you can feel more spiritual. So close to the shore that from upstairs you can see the waves moving from the windows. The gentleman who does the adhan has a lovely voice too Mashallah. Plenty of Qurans to read.

Beautiful mosque. The only advice I would give to the ones that take care of this mosque and let tourists inside: maybe try to get some full covering dresses for the ladies (the new mosque at taksim square has it). It would be comfortable for all women. Because the ones that they have now are not really “covering”. 😊 plus it would be comfortable for the ones that take care of the mosque too… so that they don’t have to tell the people to cover the legs / arms .. head.
