👍 Firstly you have to pass 2 checkpoints. 1st one is a security pass and for the 2nd you have to buy a ticket. Prices are high maybe a little discount may be done. Scenery is amazing. Interior and exterior is awesome actually I can't describe it with words. People often mention palace, visit, beautiful, Istanbul, ticket, Ottoman, history, Empire,

Dolmabahçe Palace (Turkish: Dolmabahçe Saray) located in the Beşiktaş district of Istanbul, Turkey, on the European coast of the Bosporus strait, served as the main administrative center of the Ottoman Empire from 1856 to 1887 and from 1909 to 1922 (Yıldız Palace was used in the interim period)

Must see, however after you pay the ticket go and ask for the headset in order to listen to the tour inside the palace (included in the ticket price) but they don’t tell you to go take it thus you have to ask for it. The gardens are superb around the palace. Taking photos inside is not allowed.

(Translated by Google) It is interesting to visit and see the life of the Turkish sultans, beautiful surroundings, I especially liked the side with access to the Bosphorus, for 120 lira you can visit everything, but as for me, the main building is enough. And it's better to plan your time, because after 16:00 museums are already closed, but you can stay on the territory longer. 2-3 hours are definitely needed to have time to see at least half. If you bought a ticket, you can ask for a virtual guide, there is in any language, he says boringly, but it's better than nothing.

Glorious and very beautiful place and architecture! Don’t worry you’ll not get lost inside as you will follow the signs on how to keep moving forward until you exit. You can get this small machine, put earplugs and enjoy an explanation and a beautiful story of every corner you reach inside the place. This machine is available is many languages. A must do : sit at the coffee tea area outside for a break when you’re done, don’t miss the desert that I will share a photo for below. It’s Devine!

It's a historical place right next to the see. It worse taking an audio guide, while visiting. To many rooms in two huge buildings, which are use to be residents of the Sultan Ahmed. It worse visiting if you like the history of Turkie.

One of the places you have to visit definitely. The palace is massive, impressive and full of luxury stuff. The interiors designed with nice furniture, and beautiful paining. Unfortunately, you are not allowed to photograph. You can also get a guidance with variety of languages and you need to pay an entrance fee.

Breathtaking ottoman palace The last few ottoman rulers lived here. The rooms are exquisite and nicely decorated. However, there are a lot of people touring and it can be extremely hectic and disorganized. You’re not allowed to take pictures which seems ridiculous as long as you’re not using a flash. Highly recommended.

Amazing old Palace that served as the main administrative center of the Ottoman Empire from 1856 to 1887 and from 1909 to 1922. Free to enter the grounds but paid to go inside. Good safety for Covid19 with temperature check and airport style security on the entrance. Well worth a visit

(Translated by Google) It should definitely be seen. Gorgeous place with impressive interior and exterior architecture. One day is too much, before or after an afternoon 4 hours should be left for a detailed trip. You can also get the free online directory with your ID from security on the second door. The museum card is invalid.

The garden around the palace is very peaceful and has a calming effect. There's a neat coffee stand nearby so you can have a coffee while resting. Palace itself is huge and leaves a strong impression of power, wealth and an interesting history. Seems nearly impossible to imagine how the life was so different than it is today.

Outside is stunning and beautiful. The building inside was not interesting. The collection include kitchen ware and just random rooms with chairs and table. You can have access to the terrace outside with an amazing view. The ticket as of December 2023 is of 650 Lira. Expensive. Worth to visit the painting museum.

The most beautiful royal palace in European style I ever seen. The site is kept amazingly well with an unbelievable number of decorations (vases, carpets, clocks of any kind). The audioguide is excellent and the overall context is simply stunning.

Was a little bit upset with the entry price (200 tl), month ago it was cheaper. But the view was worth it. If to be honest - I fall in love with the gardens much more than with the palace. It a pity that we can not take photos inside.

It was wonderful to go back to the past and live life in the Dolmabahçe, the palace of the last Ottoman sultans, the most powerful empire in the world at that time. The palace is well kept and while walking and letting my imagination reflects in the past of the magnificent palace. This palace witnessed dramatic events that led to the fall of the Ottoman Empire into the hands of traitors and enemies. You can complete your 2-4 hours visit with great meal or coffee at the restaurant by the main gate. Don’t miss Dolmabahçe mosque. It worth your visit to enjoy peaceful pray. The palace includes three huge buildings, 44 halls, 285 rooms, 6 Turkish paths, and 68 washrooms.

When I stand in front of this palace, language does not help me to describe it. So how to begin? First read the history of the palace. Then enter a world of art and beauty. The palace was the great place. Full of beauty, paint art, beautiful furniture, history, Ornate ceilings and great view of Bosphorus. It has a more than one cafe. I will come again and again. Highly, highly, highly recommended! 👍🏻

(Translated by Google) Luxurious, large-scale palace. Didn't expect this as a great travel experience. Beautiful both inside and outside. We didn’t plan to go in, but they just came to take a picture with the famous lace gate on Instagram. And they did not regret it a bit. Would recommend as the number one museum in Istanbul. We took an entrance ticket for 120 liras, all locations are included in it. Despite the lockdown, it worked even on January 3rd. Photo / video is prohibited inside) so we turn on ingenuity) (Original) Шикарный, масштабный дворец. Не ожидали такого, так как большой туристический опыт. Красив как внутри, так и снаружи. (Translated by Google) A unique architectural masterpiece, really a palace with the meaning of the word, built of pure marble in the European style. As soon as you enter the palace lobby, you feel a sense of luxury and grandeur. It was built by Sultan Abdul Aziz, and the luxury level of the owner of this palace is clearly evident. The walls, floors and ceilings of the palace are beautifully decorated, and chandeliers decorate every room in the palace. It has the largest chandelier in the world, as it contains 360 lamps and weighs 4 tons that adorns the palace hall from the inside. There is a room of interest in it, in which it is said that Ataturk died. The palace directly overlooks the sea and has an outdoor garden with a clock built of decorated marble. Entrance organization is excellent, and the place can be reached from Kabatas tram station. There is a parking lot next to the palace and a sea-view restaurant belonging to the Istanbul municipality.
