Istanbul University is a oldest and most well known university in Turkey. It's a huge academic institution with 200 000 of students. İstanbul University has a lot of campuses, lot of them is situated in the historical city center of İstanbul in the European side. In my opinion, the most beautiful is Rectorate building in Beyazıt and nearby is Süleymaniye Mosque from the one entering and Beyazıt Mosque in the frontal gates. Its a big pink building with lovely park and Rectorate gate. Inside building has a really amazing-decorated rooms for important events. In front of the enter is a monument which prevents Atatürk with students. Also very impressive is meteorological tower in the Rectorate' park.
