Down the hill and around the corner from Galata Tower is this little gem of a place. A gallery, a restaurant, a bar, a magical oasis just a block off the main drag. Where do I begin? We went every day after we found it. The food is incredible, order anything. Specifically the shrimp in butter. The breakfast on Sundays is one if the best food experiences I have ever had (pictured). Everything is made with absolute care. Also a bar where a local musician might do a couple songs, or you can just sit and have drinks and a piece of house-made cheesecake. The place itself is a treasure-trove of installation and art and heart, and not the kind that feels contrived or slapped up…the kind that takes years of consideration to arrive at. And last, but most, the people. We became friends with Jesse, who took care of us like he’d known us for years. He makes some very excellent cocktails, ask for the Brown Sugar. If you go to one place in Galata, please make this the one. Tell ‘em Cowboy Cody sent ya. ;)

Smyrna Art-Gallery Cafe has a Nice good retro ambiance interesting looking vintage themed interior design. It can be very interesting place for tourists. Food is ok as olive oil on the tables as an accompaniment has very good quality. But prices are little bit high accoring to smilar restourants the area. Conclusion Smyrna Art-Gallery Cafe is very and interesting place for drinking but shouln't be considered as first option for eating out. PS: Stray cats are wander around sometimes they jump over the tables chairs even to laps of guests. If you are allergic to cats or you don't like them for some reason Smyrna Art-Gallery Cafe is not for you

What a wonderful find! The food was delicious and yummy. Loved the garlic butter shrimps and the lamb kofte. We celebrated my sister's birthday and the service was super. I would recommend this to anyone near the Galata Tower.

I loved this cute little cafe tucked away in a quiet street! The food was really great in value- I got the a chicken in cream dish and it was indeed super rich and creamy. Really lovely ambiance and the waiter was so attentive 🥹 he saw my drinking from my water bottle and gave me a free bottle of water. Would visit again!

Bes lamb chops i have ever tried in my life! It's quite expensive but totally worth it. Great, great quality, and good service. I haven't eaten such delicious lamb chops before, so if you go, please try them. The place also has a great vibe and nice cats around (well behaved) The location is in a quiet street but close enough to Galata tower. If you can afford it, come and try it as it won't disappoint

Several vegan options, friendly staff that speaks English, tasty veggies. I liked the fact that they kindly replace some animal products in breakfast by vegan ones upon request. Good luck !

Just steps from Galata Tower, this restaurant was wonderful! I had the Zeus Turkish breakfast, Turkish coffee, ayran, and Turkish tea. All were so delicious, everything was as flavorful as I hoped it would be, and then some. My server was friendly and helpful. They also have vegetarian and vegan options. Highly recommend!

This is a lovely find in Galata, Istanbul. It's just a block or two off the tourist paths, very quiet. Food quality and presentation are excellent. I had a delicious chicken casserole with tasty mushrooms. It also included a small salad, rice and good French fries. A sauce from yogurt made it even better.. My wife had a stuffed pasta that almost looked too good to eat. But she did, The service was great with attentive staff. As for the ambience, at the table next to ours a couple played backgammon against a backdrop of food and art. The only small nit was that our outside table and chairs were right on the curb of the quiet street. My wife's chair slipped off and nearly spilled her onto the street. Would we go there again? In a heartbeat.

A lovely restaurant with an interesting interior. The staff were very friendly in a quiet street in the heart of Galata close to the tower. I ate here twice during my stay as it was close to my hotel. I chose this restaurant as it had vegan options. The first night I had a delicious vegan burger and fries but I was enjoying it so much I forgot to take photos! The second visit I had a delicious platter including chickpea patties and various salads. Delicious. The staff were delightful and I can't rate it high enough.

Came across this place while wandering the small streets in Galata. Is close by Galata Tower on a tiny, quiet street. Very artsy, cool place with great food and friendly staff. Amazing place to cool down.

Rich and good quality Turkish breakfast. Service was super nice and generous. The interier was magical. As a bonus, we had a chance to see some cute newly born kittens 😍

This café has a very unique vibe. Every corner has some sort of art work. There menu was in English with good descriptions. They have a good online presence. We ordered Zeus breakfast, My fathers Salad and Fish an chips and Fresh Orange Juice. Their Menemen with eggs was really good. Salad was refreshing. Our server Hakan was very friendly and helpful.

Hidden gem near the Galata tower! Restaurant is on a quiet street serving great food. Stuff was welcoming and personal. Cocktail was perfect and overall the experience was excellent. I recommend it for a date night or with friends. Gift shop inside has interesting jewelry. Can't wait to come back!

I have randomly find this place while walking the small streets of Galata. It is on a very quiet street and at the same time very close to the tower. The staff was very friendly and attentive and the food was great. It has mix between a traditional Turkish cuisine and international. The atmosphere is very artistic and with a lot of cool modern art scenes. It is definitely an interesting place that can recommend.

Very friendly service. All waiters speak fluent English. Menu has English version and if not enough, they have pictures for each dish! Food is delicious! We have grill sea bass and garlic shrimp. Interior decor is very interesting!

We chose this place because it seemed quite unique from the photos with the graffiti on the walls and the vintage furniture. The food was delicious and the staff was nice but we were a bit thrown back when we asked for whine but no option was given so we thought they would brings us the house wine. And at end, they served us a 8euro wine glass which is we found quite expensive. Nevertheless, it was nice they offered the snacks and the tea/coffee with some Turkish delights.

I was just walking by. Had a friendly greeting, continued my day. Then came back for dinner. My waiter made an amazing suggestion. Great food. Nice atmosphere. Gracious service. Drop by and enjoy all the fun stuff for sale as well.

Really cool place located on a side street from the Galata tower, away from the touristy hustle & bustle. The wait staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious. I suggest the meatballs.

The food was delicious (tried grilled salmon and mother's meatballs) and there was a lot of it! Imagine coming to your parents after a long time no see and they try to feed you for all those months;) The owner of the restaurant even served us some free rice (which was also tasty!) while we waited for the order. The interior is very interesting! Almost forgot to mention two cute cats watching the TV!

Bad food and slow service - no idea why it is this highly rated. There was a big dog walking in and out of the kitchen which I tried to overlook but hygiene at this place is nonexistent and I found a hair in my cheese plate - as you will see in the photo it was lazily replaced with this plate of the same cheese instead of the plate that was replaced which had better presentation and variety. The eggs are extremely oily I did not feel good attempting my Zeus breakfast. Do not recommend at all - especially if you are in a rush and would hope to get other things done in the afternoon!

Hip restaurant with some western foods. Prices are a bit high for Istanbul but the place is pretty fun. Food was good. I got their fish and chips which was good with Istanbul standards!

I would walk past this place on my way out for the day and thought with it’s different decor and relaxed vibe I’d give it a go on my way home, I loved it, I ended up calling in every day for the 10 nights I was in Istanbul for a late afternoon meal and a few beers, the food was always tasty, well priced , the beer was cold cool background music and the staff were fantastic,

Fabulous, the food is finger-missing and tasty. We order mixed mezze 8 pcs and mixed kebab. Mentioning for 2 people but I guess, a 0 was dropped cause it was for 20 people. The portion is really good. I like this restaurant and will come back for sure.
