Lola Backpackers Hostel

Hostel

🫤 Big bed bug infestation here. The staff were kind and changed my bed, but there were even more bed bugs in the other bed. The person who slept on my bunk had tons of bites as well. Not fun, hope they fix this. Probably need a professional extermination of the whole place. People often mention hostel, good, people, Istanbul, atmosphere,

Hostel is okay. They care for a place to meet each other, cleaning and to have a tempered room. But there I got lice, bed bugs AND flea and I carried them home. Must not be a sign of bad hygienic standards but caused a lot of anger and trouble!

Was staying in a girls room for 3 nights, the bed was comfort, bedsheets clean, duvet surprisingly nice and thick (visited in winter months). The location in regards to city centre and tourist sights is good, but in the night the area is super dark and looks sketchy, with hostel entrance being at the back of a small alley. Apologies to the owner, but the cleanliness was not even minimal, with men and women sharing the same toilets, many hairs tangled on the floor of the shower and the toilet seat being covered in piss. Cheap prices with good location, but minimal comfort

A new hostel in town! Very good beds and lovely staff. The hostel itself is still under construction so the main common area isn't finished yet, but there is a small one available. There is a kiychen and water for use. We had a good stay! Quiet also

Best place for the backpackers and people who don't really care about huge comfort. The people here makes the difference, always proposing help or sharing food or games. The animals are cute and the colors make the place more alive than every hostel I've been in Istanbul !

It's a super friendly place, ideal for backpapers. Staff is friendly and nice, is a good place to meet people. It's located near Galata, not the best location, specially because it's on a little dark alley. But mainly is good. Rooms are clean and have AC. Bathrooms are fine. If you keep in mind that is a cheap place to spent some nights, then is an excellent place. If you look for something more comfy or fancy, maybe you should keep looking.

it is located in a very creepy alley, owner was nice but shouldn't rate this high on hostel. com for 9.2. third floor was super hot and night club just right beside. sounds terrible at night and no air conditioner. and no locker box.

We spent a couple of nights here and found really nice people, comfortable beds and quiet. The receptionists are lovely people and available to give any kind of information. Thanks to their advice, our holidays went well. Super recommended!

I stayed at this hostel for 3 weeks and it was great. the price is really affordable and the atmosphere really fun. The location is superb, close to everything, I traveled on foot most of the time to visit the different places in the city. I know exactly where to return to Istanbul next time.

If you're looking for a real backpacker vibe, a travelers hostel this is the must go. I've been here for a few days and this place is just what you need. Simplicity, lots of tips and a friendly atmosphere. Ps: Kitchen available for you to cook if you wish

Two Turkish guys working in the night shift yelled at me and threatened me. One is very short, black hair. His boyfriend is taller. They were scared to tell me their names, gave fake names instead ( farty and fartuk). The administration didn't answer my messages. Prefer to sweep under the carpet Avoid this sketchy place.

This place may not be the most modern place in town but it sure does feel like home. Jalita and Faruk are always hospitable and makes sure the guests are taken care of. Its vibrant paintings and little details all over the hostel makes it that much more exciting to explore. This hostel also has one of the friendliest atmosphere, at times, it even felt like there’s too many people to meet. Overall, I loved this place and would definitely come back!

Great hostel with a good vibe. People are friendly. What it lacks in quality of the rooms and facilities, it makes up for with a good atmosphere. It can be a bit noisy, but if you don't bring ear plugs to a hostel, i'm not sure you're travelling properly.

This place has great energy that hosts receive and contribute to it ☀️ The common room is very cozy and the staff and hosts make the environment comfortable and ready for socializing or just resting alone. The beds are comfy, the bathrooms are clean. For sure one of the best hostels in Istanbul :)

Located in small alley but feel safe enough to walk alone when it’s getting dark. 5 mins walk to metro station and galata tower. Nice atmosphere and easy to socialize with other travelers. They only few bathroom so sometime you have to wait to use it in morning time.

Quite a good hostel for the price. The hosts are kind and very helpful. Great atmosphere and location. The only drawback is there are only 3 bathrooms and it takes a bit of time in the morning if you are unlucky with timing. ;)

Good hostel for the lower price point in Istanbul. Atmosphere is great and social, with the downstairs having a few seating arrangements as well as a small kitchen (no microwave). Rooms are spread over 3 floors, with two floors having one shower/toilet each and the upper floor just a toilet, meaning it can get very busy in the morning. Location is great next to Galata tower but ducked down a side street, a bit difficult to find but instructions are good. Beds are sizeable and comfortable. Hostel is cleaned daily but could use bins emptied/bathrooms cleaned later in the day, and the showers they could use maintenance (lower shower head doesn’t work, stands aren’t attached to hold head).

I really enjoyed my stay here for 2 nights. The staff is very welcoming. It's very close to galata and tramways so all the places are easily accessible. I'd definitely recommend this place for backpacking

Really good hostel: cheap and in the heart of the city. The owners are nice people and very helpful, always giving out informations about Istanbul a travelling Turkey. I highly recommend if you’d like a true backpacker experience! Great job guys!

Great stay at Lola’s, highly recommend. The staff were excellent and extremely helpful, they helped organise the return of a lost passport left in a taxi. They have created a very good vibe within the hostel and staying here feels safe and like a home. Rooms, bathrooms and common areas are more than sufficient and kept well. Would definitely stay here again.
