I had dinner at the rooftop restaurant of Meroddi Barnathan Hotel, and let me tell you, it was an experience to remember. The moment I stepped onto the rooftop, I was blown away by the breathtaking panoramic view that stretched before me. It was the perfect setting to indulge in a delightful meal. The staff at the restaurant were incredibly welcoming and attentive. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel like VIPs, ensuring that our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. Their friendly demeanor and genuine hospitality added an extra layer of warmth to the evening. Each dish was a work of art, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The attention to detail and the careful preparation were evident in every bite. But it was the meat dishes that stole the show. Juicy, tender, and seasoned to perfection, they left us craving for more. Everyone loved their food.

If you don't speak Turkish don't go to this place!!! The view is very wonderful.. but the manager and staff are racist. My wife and I waited for over half an hour for a spot but they refused to give us a table . Although there was more than one empty table, they only gave them to those who spoke Turkish. and when we spoke with the manager he dealings with us very rude . It’s really very bad experience I don’t recommend any body to go to this place.

Rate: 03/10 Good: View, View. Bad: Service, Food. I made a reservation for table of 4 at 1:00 PM, 1 day before arrival. The process was easy. I sent an email it was confirmed within minutes. Once we arrived the waitress greeted us to our table and told us there is a Buffet only and get food from there, without any explanation why there is no menu as mentioned In their website. Anywho, later we found out there is breakfast buffet which is also shared with the hotel customers and for economical reasons they don’t provide menu until 2:00 PM. This was a huge inconvenience because I was starving and I went for lunch. The buffet is 100 lira per person with refilled tea. After we got our food and seated and talking. We were asked twice if we are done and ready to leave while we have food in the table. The establishment just wants people to come, take pictures, eat whatever they have left over from hotel customers and leave. The view IS amazing. And that’s all there is to it. There are other alternative of this view with more reasonable price and better service.

The only thing that was great about this coffee shop is the view. You have an awesome view of the Galata Tower and if you go there at night, it’s very breathtaking. Besides that, customer service was horrible. It was not busy yet it took our waiter 20 minutes to come and take the order. They spoke zero English and didn’t even try to help with taking the order. Waited about 30 minutes to get their attention to ask for the check. Coffee and dessert were just average and most likely better at other shops. Don’t waste your time ordering food and just come here to take your photo.

Galata tower was under construction during my time, and we went here as alternative. It was a way better choice than visiting Galata tower. Not only did we enjoy the beautiful view, we enjoyed the view with the tower itself in the background, along with some great food and wine :). Go here instead of paying 650TL (20 times more than what locals have to pay (30TL!!!)) for Galata tower.

5 STARS FOR THE VIEW. And the view only, it was superb and thankfully for us it was a cloudy day without heavy rain, so it was just perfect, had it not been a cloudy day, the sun would fry our brains out haha, the few seconds the sun was out it felt really hot, so if i had one advice for anyone going there it would be CHECK THE WEATHER APP. and the food was pretty average, very standard, typical hotel buffet, so dont get too excited for the food and lower your expectations

We really enjoyed a sunny day on the terrace of this historical hotel terrace. There is no need to say that the view is stunning. We appreciated a lot the attitude of the waiter who let us enjoy this peaceful day without pushing us to leave the table quickly as it happens almost everywhere in Istanbul. We got a tasty panna cotta and 2 coffees at a very reasonable price. We will come back for sure!

Love love love the food here! The falafel balls were absolutely delicious, so much so that we ended up ordering two servings. Everyone in my party enjoyed their dishes and the place was really clean and the staff was super friendly and helpful. There were also very accommodating when it came to replacing ingredients (some of us had allergies). The view was also stunning, İ would 1000% recommend sitting in the deck out back and watching the stunning Galata Tower while you eat ! They also have aircon out back so it's not hot when you sit outside. I'm definitely coming back soon! Thanks for the great meal!

I really enjoyed this breakfast. but one thing disappointed me, I asked at the reception, where the restaurant was, and then I was directed to take it to the top floor. Once there, I waited about 10 minutes thinking someone was coming up with the menu, then asked if we could have breakfast here and they said no, although most of the pictures are about a breakfast taken upstairs, it's just lies about it. But congratulations on the quality of this breakfast products! Very delicious!

During my visit for breakfast, the service was slow, and despite multiple requests, my omelet took a while. The material and coffee quality were bad, and the location offers a nice view. However, when I ordered Turkish tea again, they served tea bags in a ceramic cup. Additionally, I requested a good table, but they refused, while a table was offered to Turkish men seated behind us.

The view is spectacular from their rooftop. Requires reservation most of the time. I’m giving three stars because the food didn’t taste good (steak), and the portion did not match the description on the menu. I was expecting a real good taste compared to the price I paid!! Otherwise, the staff are very welcoming and helpful. Best for a coffee or a drink, recommended.

We went as two people to dinner at the restaurant, Barnathan Istanbul, and had a good evening. The place had a pretty view of the Galata Tower, but when it comes to the service, it was a bit disappointing. We received a pretty nice welcome, but you must make a reservation before you go there; otherwise, you can't find an empty place. They also charge a 10% fee, I guess it's for their service. The food was okay, but it didn't look delicious at all. We waited a lot for the waiters; in general, the waiters were not attentive and not very professional. I mean, everyone has some expectations for the service because it's a rooftop and it's expensive, but it didn't satisfy me at all. We paid around 710 TRY for two people, including soft drinks. It was alright, but I think it will be the last time we visit there. :)

Believe me, I don't know where to start, choosing this hotel was one of the best choices we made during our trip to Turkey. I don't know where to start, because ,from the moment we arrived, the hotel receptionist, I'm sure his name was Sharol, greeted us in a very friendly and warm manner. We got to know Mohammad who is in the reception area of ​​the hotel and both of them have information about the city and places which every tourist should visit, they made our trip to Istanbul more beautiful, all the hotel staff were so kind and lovely that on the last day of the trip, we could hardly leave Istanbul and all these friends. The rooms are very clean, the three sides of the hotel have a beautiful view both during the day and at night, very delicious food and being close to Esteghlal Street and the beautiful Gala Tower were among the beauties of the hotel, and finally, the hotel is 130 years old. The service was just alright. The food was very good though at reasonable price. The view was also good. It’s just too cold even with the heater.

My friends and I came here for cocktails at night. The atmosphere is amazing with an astonishing view of the Galata Tower. Staff were awesome! My friend made reservations so I would suggest you do the same. Enjoy!
