Charminar the land mark of Hyderabad, lad bazar is famous here, best suited for ladies because the market is dedicated to ladies products 😉 men can only roam their with their partner handbags and shopping bags. For single men or boys it will hardly take 20 minutes for site seeing of Charminar from inside and outside. But for couples even the whole day is insufficient due to market...enjoy...

Truly an amazing place. I was stunned by the beauty, the carvings and how they've still maintained that place so well. I visited this place just some days before Independence Day.. and the best part was entry was free. If you're visiting Hyderabad or planning to visit you should definitely go here. not to forget the street shopping here, very cheap and affordable with a wide range of items starting with clothing, shoes and many more things.

Good place for shopping at affordable prices. One can get a whole collection of bridal dresses, jewellery, footwear, household items etc. Try to avoid going this place in weekend. It usually remains crowded. On weekdays it will be convenient to do shopping.

Amazing historical monument . Ver well preserved . Do ensure you climb to the top tip if you are scared of narrow pathways a and stairs stay away it’s a very steep and high rise stair set . Elderly with knee or leg pain stay away as you cannot return as it a one way stair once started will have to go to the top . Once on top will have to return as well . The view from the top is magnificent. And is worth all the efforts . The surrounding is packed with shops and sellers . There is a tea shop do get tea from there and the famous Hyderabad biscuits . There is a mix biscuits box which has all the flavors . They do t allow bags so either don’t take bags or sacs else keep it as the deposit station for 20 rs an hour . It’s a no vehicle done do have to park a bit far and then walk .

Such a nice place but overcrowded due to the street shoppers. You just and get a proper view of Charminar. There’s no parking around and the streets are too narrow that if you get stuck then there’s no going back 🫤. The beautiful view is spoiled to the core.

It is quite amazing to see the monument built in 1591 surrounded by busy markets and stores. It is an area where things are happening, so get ready to get overwhelmed with people and stuff. There is a place where you could have chai, which was great. Can't remember the name of it, but you can't miss it once you are there.

Most famous landmark in Hyderabad. The name Charminar means "Four-Towers".The place is very crowded throughout the day. Local shops and street vendors make this place an ideal shopping area. The entry fee is Rs 25 per adult. Payment can be done online also. Currently it's being renovated. A small temple also runs under the Charminar, which definitely shows the cultural diversity of India.

The landmark of Hyderabad. Always too crowded. We must take care off our belongings. It is one of the best shopping points of Hyderabad. We can get jewels, dress materials and so many other things in very cheap rate. Bargain is recommended to get things in the best rate. Recommended to visit in evening time to experience the best. Local cuisine is also worth the try.

Fantastic monument! But the culture spoilt the entire beauty of the creation. I visited Charminar with my family. The monument is good but the surroundings are in pathetic condition. Very polluted area and no crowd or traffic management. If we want to buy pearls, shopkeepers will quote simply three times the price. A good bargainer can win a lot. Found many meat shops nearby. Always bad smell srrounds the charminar. But you can visit only for five minutes to have a glance at the monument.

Well I'm from Hyderabad and honestly I go to Charminar when I want to bunk or skip my classes. It's really a good place to roam around to pass your time. You can buy items for low price, you don't have to blast your wallet to buy things from Charminar. Or you can window shop with your friends and have a chai with biscuits at nimrah bakery. You won't be disappointed if you want to just spend your day without spending so much money then Charminar is a place to go.

Absolutely stunning! The Charminar is a must-see for anyone visiting Hyderabad. It's not just a beautiful piece of architecture, but also a fascinating historical landmark. I was particularly impressed by the four grand arches and the 48m tall minarets. The views over the Laad Bazaar are also incredible. I highly recommend taking a walk around the bazaar and soaking up the atmosphere.

A beautiful place that acts as a Time Machine. I felt transported hundreds of years back as I stood admiring the breath-taking view of the Charminar. The bazaar surrounding the structure is vibrant and offer unique traditional items and an unbelievably affordable price. The roads are narrow and too crowded. But surprisingly I felt good about the crowd! Bargaining skills are highly valued here and one can get great discounts with good bargaining. I wish there was a bit more cleanliness here considering he fact that it is the icon of Hyderabad. Be prepared to face heavy traffic as you approach the minar due to narrow roads. I would recommend coming in an auto or two-wheeler to get the best experience. Also, be aware of pickpockets and thieves. The market is amazingly vibrant, so make sure to explore the various bangles and artificers that are on display. Overall, a great place and a must visit!

Roads are narrow .Flooded with Traffic and there is  no control over it. I got stuck fr 3 hours  over there. Good for Road side shopping lovers. It is a pride of Hyderabad however there is no maintenance done for visitors as well as monument.Guys you need to spare extra hours from your schedule to visit this place.

Must place to visit while coming to Hyderabad. Crowded in the evening. Not allowing people to go inside charminar now.l, only outside around the building we can go. Lots of things you can purchase, but should be very careful if you do pearl shopping. Good to explore, but lot of traffic. Plan to come early so that you can enjoy peacefully.

What a place! This is a must visit for anyone in the city and the colours and atmosphere in an evening are superb. I’m reliably informed that weekends are particularly busy, and given the number of people on the mid-week day I visited I’d encourage to avoid too, but it’s well worth battling the crowds to get into the centre of the action. There’s so many market sellers although none are too pushy, live performances and a generally friendly vibe. The history is great, so many good photo opportunities and a real insight into the local culture. Highly recommended!

It's great place to visit. The architecture was wonderful, the narrow passages are amazing. When I visited there it was under maintenance. They charged us Rs.20, but for foreigners prices are different. You will find lot of shops around that from old shops to new. Key to shopping is bargaining. Street food there is bliss. Try to visit at night also you will definitely enjoy the view.

Visited A Star Place recently and the experience left me with mixed feelings. The historical monument is undoubtedly a popular spot, with numerous shops, stalls, and a variety of food options surrounding it. However, the monument itself seems to be under construction or renovation, which was a bit disappointing. The entrance fee of 25 per person is reasonable, but considering the thousands of daily visitors, I expected the place to be better maintained. The crowds were overwhelming, making it challenging to fully appreciate the historical significance of the site. It appears that improvements are underway, but as of my visit, the overall ambiance fell short of expectations. Hoping that ongoing renovations will enhance the experience for future visitors.

An iconic symbol of Hyderabad, we have been reading about Charminar (4 minarets) from school. It's a Monument and mosque which you will visit for sure if you ever come to Hyderabad. Located in old Hyderabad. There is also a Hindu temple beside the monument. Has markets surrounding the monument. Lot of shops to purchase footwear, sunglasses, bangles, clothes. Because of the crowd you will need to park your vehicle in some distance and then walk. Good place to show your kids what they read in the GK (general knowledge) books.

The Charminar is a monument and Mosque in Hyderabad, India. The structure was built in 1591 AD. It is the most famous building of Hyderabad and also one of the most famous buildings in India. It was built by Muhammad Quli Qutb Shahi to celebrate the end of a deadly plague. The Charminar lies near the bank of the river Musi. It is close to Laad Bazaar and Makkah Masjid.Charminar is taken from two words Char and Minar which translate as Four Towers in English.there is a secret underground tunnel that connects Charminar to the Golconda Fort. It was built for the royal family, to escape in case of any kind of emergencies. However, till date no tunnel could be found. The entry fee for Indians is Rs 5 or 10/- and for Foreigners it is Rs100/-.

The iconic Beauty of the Hyderabad. Shining like the white pearl, experience the stunning view of the old city from the top. Old people might have a little trouble getting through the steps as the steps are little bit height, and one may feel slightly slippery. So step up and step down carefully. The security who is checking entrance tickets near the ticket counter is performing awesome that she asked a man in front of me to spit off the nuts he was eating, which clearly says that the monument can be preserved for future. Get the Shopping done in the bazaar, best prices you get by bargaining. Must visit place in Hyderabad.

Charminar is a famous historical and tourist place in Hyderabad. It is usually too crowded. There is no proper parking facility near it and the roads are too small. There are a lot of stalls selling jewelry, handbags, footwear, etc. We can even climb to the top of the Charminar with a ticket cost of Rs.25 per person but closes by 5:30 PM. Charminar is also famous for bangles, party wear clothing at affordable prices. I suggest preferring to visit the Charminar after 9:00 PM as it won't be as crowded as in the mornings. Shopping stalls and some fast food shops will also be available till midnight.

charminar, historical place. The Charminar or 4 Minarets is a historical monument that was built by the Qutub Shahi Dynasty during the late 16th century. Muhammad Quli Qutub Shah who was the ruler of Golkonda built the monument to commemorate the founding of the city of Hyderabad an important trade route. The structure is known for the signature 4 minarets, which are built in a marvelous Indo-Islamic style. The second floor of the structure also houses a mosque, which is also a remarkable work of medieval architecture.

Best place to visit in Hyderabad on a good weather day. It gives you the real vibe of Hyderabad, the local culture and flavour. If you donot like crowded places, avoid weekend visits and plan your day trip or a night trip on working days (avoid Fridays too). You can go up Charminar too, it's open for tourists. You need to buy a ticket for the same. The view from the tower is great and you can take superb pics. The security people there are kind enough to explain how the gong at Charminar is 100 years old and how it works. Plan your visit between July-Sep to enjoy a breezy day.

Beautiful as always. One can buy almost anything under the sun at Charminar for cheap price. The shops are fully opened only by 11 a.m. before and closes late in the night. Price varies from one shop to the other but it's best to bargain, although there are some shops which have fixed rate. Come prepared to negotiate.

Charminar is located in middle of street surrounded with markets and very crowded street. A verifiable landmark to visit on the off chance that you are in Hyderabad. You get a decent perspective of the territory from the highest point of the monument. The advertise close charminar is constantly energetic, particularly the bangles showcase. It’s smarter to contract a taxi and visit this place as opposed to taking your own four wheeler. Parking facilities isn’t that incredible. Hyderabad wont be completed without Charminar. The place with an enriched history built around it

What to write about the most famous place in Hyderabad. It's spectacular in view whether day or night and as the govt has built walking area around it for viewers it's a blessing. You can't climb on it now as it is under maintenance at the moment but the view from top is beautiful and gives the viewer an idea of how Hyderabad looked like in the olden days with the four doors of Charminar.

There are couple of shops around it where you can shop all kinds of Hyderbadi stuff. Girls love shopping at Charminar. Being one of the most famous monuments in India, Charminar sees a huge amounts of crowd all year. So, please kindly carry a face mask if you're planning to visit this amazing piece of art now. Parking is tough if you visit this place in a car. Try asking the locals if you really need to park.

A historical area, the shape of the building carries a wonderful decoration, a beautiful design from the inside and the outside, you can enter the top of the building with tickets for a simple, symbolic price, overlooking four streets, it is located in the middle in a circular shape around which all the markets are located, and there is another beautiful building near it. It is a large mosque with a beautiful structure , It is not allow to enter the camera or bags! This place is crowded most of the time in the evening, with the presence of different and cheap markets as well, and there are restaurants for hidden meals, a very wonderful place. If you are in Hyderabad u must visit it and buy things from there are cheaper, my journey was fantastic in this place I will share some pictures for you. There's one thing I didn't like it around the building there are many Carriages and rugs to sell things and new days they building temple which that can't show the beauty of this place really.

This is one of the significant historical identities of Hyderabad. What a place! This is a must-visit for anyone in the city, and the colors and atmosphere in the evening are superb. I’m reliably informed that weekends are particularly busy, and given the number of people on the mid-week day I visited, I’d encourage you to avoid them too, but it’s well worth battling the crowds to get into the center of the action. There are so many market sellers, although none are too pushy, live performances, and a generally friendly vibe. The history is great; there are so many good photo opportunities and a real insight into the local culture. Highly recommended.

My recent visit to Charminar was an exhilarating experience that left me with lasting memories, despite a few minor inconveniences. Firstly, the place was undeniably crowded. However, this bustling atmosphere added to the excitement of the visit. The energy of the crowd and the vibrant ambiance made it a memorable outing. If you thrive on the buzz of a lively environment, you'll appreciate what this place has to offer. Secondly, the presence of street sellers was a unique aspect of the visit. It presented the opportunity to discover hidden gems and unique items. Bargaining with them for a good price added an element of adventure to the experience. If you enjoy the art of negotiation and love finding one-of-a-kind treasures, this is the place for you. On the downside, parking was a bit of a challenge. Finding a suitable spot required some patience and effort, which could be a minor inconvenience. It's advisable to plan your visit during off-peak hours or consider alternative transportation options to ease the parking dilemma. In summary, Charminar offers an exhilarating and unique experience despite its crowds and parking difficulties. If you're looking for an adventure, enjoy negotiating for great deals, and thrive in lively environments, this place is a must-visit. Embrace the crowd.

Charminar is a true icon of Hyderabad and a must-visit for anyone exploring the city's rich history. This historic monument, with its distinctive architecture and cultural significance, is a sight to behold. However, my recent visit to Charminar left me with mixed feelings. The monument itself is undeniably beautiful, and the surrounding area has a unique charm. The intricate details and the grandeur of Charminar are worth admiring. It's a great place for history enthusiasts and photography lovers. The view from the top is also quite impressive, offering a panoramic glimpse of the city. However, my experience was marred by the overwhelming crowd of street vendors that has taken over the area. While these vendors add a vibrant touch to the ambiance, they also make the place extremely hectic. Navigating through the bustling streets to get a clear view of Charminar can be a bit of a challenge. If you're looking for a serene and peaceful atmosphere, this might not be the best place to visit. To truly enjoy Charminar, I would recommend taking a taxi or ride-sharing service to get as close to the monument as possible. This will save you from the chaos of parking and the hassle of weaving through the street market. Be prepared for some persistent vendors trying to sell you various trinkets and street food, which can be distracting. In summary, Charminar is a significant historical site that is definitely worth a visit, but the experience can be somewhat marred by the chaotic atmosphere created by street vendors. To make the most of your visit, consider taking a taxi to get closer to the monument and enjoy its architectural beauty without the added hustle and bustle.

Charminar was built by Sultan Mohammed Quli Qutb Shah in 1591. It is said that this square shaped structure with four pillars and intricate carvings was built in honour of his wife, Bhagmati. However, the actual reason behind building Charminar is still not clear. As per a popular belief, Charminar was built to acknowledge the elimination of the plague which had affected the entire city immensely during that era. It is believed that the Sultan had prayed for the end of this plague with which his people were suffering. Hence, as the plague ended, he built the charminar as a tribute to Allah. The four pillars are also said to be dedicated to the first four caliphs of Islam. It is also said that it was built in the memory of Prophet Muhammed’s son in law who lost his life at the battle of Karbala as its design is in the shape of Shiya Tazias. Some also believe that the location of Charminar is the place where Sultan had seen his then future wife Bahgmati for the first time. As per a French traveller, Jean de Thévenot who travelled in the 17th century, the reason for its construction is entirely different. According to his narration which is in sync with the Persian texts as well, Charminar was built to commemorate the start of the second Islamic millennium. The inscription on the foundation stone is translated as ‘Fill this my city with people as, Thou hast filled the river with fishes, O Lord.’ This also indicates that the monument was built to mark the city’s foundation as well. As per the historian Historian Mohammed Safiullah, Charminar was built as an epicenter of Hyderabad. The construction began in 1589 and was completed in two years with a cost of Rs. 9 lakhs, which was around 2 lakhs huns/gold coins in those times. It is said to weigh around 14000 tonnes with a minimum of 30 feet deep foundation. In 1670, a minaret had fallen down after being struck by lightning. It was then repaired at a cost of around Rs.58000 then. In 1820, some part of it was renovated by Sikandar Jah at a cost of Rs. 2 lakhs.

Charminar in Hyderabad is an iconic monument that beautifully encapsulates the city's rich history and cultural heritage. However, it's important that you keep in mind that it is very crowded on weekends & holidays, So to fully appreciate its beauty and history, visiting during quieter times is recommended.

As I approached Charminar, the iconic monument in Hyderabad, a sense of awe washed over me. The structure, with its four grand arches, stood proudly against the backdrop of the bustling city. As I entered the crowded lanes surrounding Charminar, the vibrant energy of the market enveloped me. Great monument, but unhygienic and very shabby surroundings. Unfortunately, most locals don’t respect Charminar themselves and litter, spit in the surroundings. (Observed across my 100 odd visits to the place, so it’s not a one off occurrence). It’s the case even in times of corona. Best time to visit would be before 7am when the place is less crowded and calmer.

This historic huge Charminar is standing in its glory which depicts the ruling of Nizams of Hyderabad. The entry ticketing system is made online for better transaction and tracking of visitors. The place is maintained very clean and the clock on four side is still working good. And the best update which is appreciable is the blocking of vehicle entry from four roads around the Charminar. I was happy visiting.

The monument itself is beautiful, however the surroundings are dirty and too congested. COVID seems to be imaginary for the local people. Forget social distancing, hardly anyone was wearing a mask when we visited on Feb 12th (and left quickly).

This is one of the smallest and famous tourist attraction or place in Hyderabad. This is Historical and lovely. The surrounding is very crowdy the minar is good but surrounding is not like that it seems like a lovely place. Try visiting once a great place and also try if you can inside and upstairs of Minar. Stairs are very huge may be difficult of old age people at it also seems suffocating. So please note it down.

Must visit if you are in Hyderabad to see our golden history and ancient architecture. It is constructed almost 500 years back and structure is based in 4 pillars. Masjid is present inside charminar and Bhagyalaxmi temple is also attached to it.It is the best place for shopping as well.It is present at the centre of hudrabad city.

Nice experience. Photography place 🔵 but there stunned staircase present. I am so tired. Because of that. Staircase was very big. Look like rolling. 🔷 entry fees - 25 rupees 🔷 nice view inside to outside. 🔷outside. Many bangles, chain, belt available. Cost is average. And products worth for money. 🔷 I enjoyed this place. But outside of charminar little bit dirty. Inside very clean and neat.

One of the iconic structures of Hyderabad. There is nothing up there where your mind goes "wow". On top of it, this structure is located around bustling street vendors. It completely takes the vibe off the place. It will be good if you are just visiting without any expectations

Excellent place to visit for shopping lovers. The historical monument and view from the topside is great. You will have all kinds of items in the shopping area. Pearl market, dress market, jewelery market, cooling glasses, Bangles, household items. All four sides are full for shopping. A lot of sweetcorn sellers will be there. It is a very old monument in Hyderabad.

From the moment I set foot on the grounds, I was transported back in time to an era rich with history and significance. The architecture and intricate detailing left me in absolute wonder, a testament to the craftsmanship of the past. Exploring the various chambers and corridors, I could almost hear the echoes of bygone conversations and imagine the events that unfolded within these walls.

The Charminar is a historical monument located in Hyderabad, India. It was built in 1591 and is known for its impressive Islamic architecture. The monument consists of four grand arches that open up to a central square chamber, with four towering minarets on each corner. The intricate design and delicate stucco work showcase the artistic brilliance of that era. Charminar is not only a symbol of Hyderabad's rich history but also a popular tourist destination that captures the essence of the city's culture and heritage.

Firstly, the place was undeniably crowded. However, this bustling atmosphere added to the excitement of the visit. The energy of the crowd and the vibrant ambiance made it a memorable outing. If you thrive on the buzz of a lively environment, you'll appreciate what this place has to offer.

A decently lit up and maintained monument. However the area is too crowded and is packed with street shops. Surroundings not maintained at all. Just a monument to be clicked from a distance. Can't go inside the minar or on top.

🌆 Charminar: A Bustling Hub of Culture and Commerce 🛍️ Charminar, with its iconic four minarets, stands as the heartbeat of Hyderabad's old city. My recent visit unveiled a vibrant tapestry of local life, commerce, and cultural richness. The area surrounding Charminar is a hive of activity, with bustling crowds weaving through a myriad of local shops. These shops, though diverse, seem to have a special appeal for girls and women, offering an array of clothing, accessories, and traditional items. The lively atmosphere extends to the nearby eateries, each adding its unique flavor to the tapestry of tastes. From the aromatic delights of street food stalls to the renowned eateries, the fragrance of Hyderabad's culinary heritage lingers in the air. While Charminar's crowded lanes may pose a challenge for those seeking solitude, the energy and vibrancy are undeniable. It's a place where the city's pulse beats strongest, where tradition and modernity intersect, creating an experience that resonates with locals and visitors alike. For those eager to explore the charm of Charminar, embracing the crowded lanes, discovering local treasures, and savoring the flavors of Hyderabad's renowned eateries, it's a cultural and culinary adventure waiting to unfold. 🌆🛍️🍲

It is the prime attraction of Hyderabad, and it is the iconic monument of the city. As a monument Charminar is beautiful, and architectural gem but the surrounding area makes this place unattractive. The approaching street is full with street vendors and so much crowded. You will feel like visiting some street market rather than some important historical monument. The place is full of pickpockets so keep a close watch on your valuables while visiting this place. Parking is available in a nearby place.

Crazy crowded on a Friday evening at about 11pm. Due to local elections, everything was shut down at sharp 11, but otherwise the place is said to be bustling for a bit longer. There’s lot of history around the place- read online about it. Mulberry cream as a dessert is something found in abundance, along with many other food stops.

Heritage of India and Shine of Hyderabad located at the heart of the City.. this is an iconic monument which presents brilliant architecture and creativity. which should not be missed if you are in Hyderabad. This place is always crowded and surrounded by different types of shops like clothing, footwear, jewellery, antiques and mostly food. You can visit inside the Charminar as well. Please buy Online tickets on the spot to avoid long queues.

I feel connected with this place and always want to shop here. I love this place from the bottom of my heart but i don't know the exact reason for it. But, i have visited this monument couple of times and it's been wonderful time roaming in the streets of laad bazar for bangles. They have stunning collection of bangles and i completely loved them. There are jewellery and bangle stores based on type or category. They also sell lac bangles which are pretty famous over there. Also, names on bangles can be customized from the stores.

Do try the chai and biscuits at cafe nimrah while you visit Charminar. As for the restaurants, better stick to Nayab or shadaab and not any of restaurants or eateries near Charminar.

Charminar was built by Sultan Mohammed Quli Qutb Shah in the year 1951. I is believed that Sultan had prayed for the end of this plague with which his people were suffering. Hence, as the plague ended, he built the charminar as a tribute Allah. The four pillars are also said to be dedicated to the first four caliphs of Islam.

Charminar the icon of Hyderabad and it is one of the most oldest one. Beautifully built with a good architecture and material they used. After seeing that it really make us confusion as the entrance and rest of the facing shows the same design. To get there you need to clear the traffic that the big task and after reaching there (may be bew rule) no cash payments for entry, you have to scan and make the payment, the entry fee is 20₹ and I have to say that, if you couldn't walk on steps 👣or if you don't have e habit of walking on steps then it's very hard for you to walk inside charminar, coz so narrow step and each step gap is bit high that make us difficult to walk upward. However after reach up you don't feel that you are inside of charminar. But you could see the four directions. All the street vendors. For 50₹ you can get your photo copy, most of the shops are ladies. Best way to reach is from Secundrabad to Charminar direct bus. Or else take metro from any line to MGBS then from mgbs take taxi or ola which is of 30rs ride.

It is one of the most recognized structures of India, it is considered as the most attractive monument of Hyderabad because it is situated in the center of the old city where the famous Laad Bazaar lies on the west and Makkah Masjid on the southwest. and unique for its real motto of construction, indeed the fifth rule of Qutub Shahi dynasty who built the Charminar had his headquarters in the famous Golconda fort, the distance between the Charminar and Golconda fort is partially few meters, Qutub shah had built a secret underground tunnel which contected these two places, possibly intend as an escape route for the rulers in case of a emergency, though the location of the tunnel is unknown. I suggest you all to visit this Global icon of Hyderabad once in a lifetime!

Beautiful Monument, Pride of Hyderabad! A must visit place for tourists who come to Hyderabad. The charminar and its surrounding area truly showcases the culture and people of Hyderabad. We visited it in Aug 2020 and entry was restricted inside it due to lockdown situation. Although markets and everything surround it was open! A man will take just 20min cover the entire monument and its surrounding but a lady will take more than entire day because of the market out there #clothes #bangles #necklace #everything One cam get A-Z items in charminar market. Some rules needs to be made to restrict street vendors to sit near monument. Overall i can say #Hyderabad aaye aur charminar nahi dekha to kuch nahi dekha 💁‍♂️

It's one of the busiest places in south India. The Charminar is built as a mosque in the 16th century to celebrate the end of a deadly plague. Globally known as the symbol of Hyderabad, the Charminar is listed among the most remarkable monuments of India. This beautiful and artistic building shed light on the most incredible architecture and craftsmanship India has. The name "Charminar" translates to "4 Pillars" in English. It is open to visitors all day of the week, from morning till evening. Although you can visit Charminar throughout the year, the best time to go there is from October to March as the weather is charming for sightseeing. While you are there, don't forget to check out local stores for fabulous pearl jewels and tasty Hyderabadi Biryani!

I strongly suggest to witness the Heritage Walk conducted by Dept. Of Tourism on every sunday morning 7 am onwards. Tickets can be bought at the venue itself. Its a great and best way to know the history and heritage of Hyderabad by roaming in the lanes of the then Sprawling city. We have gone to that as a group with our students and the experience was awesome.

This is both historically and religiously significant, it is also known for its popular and busy local markets surrounding the structure, and has become one of the most frequented tourist attractions in Hyderabad.Charminar was built at the centre of the city. This is also famous for the old city. There is no parking area as well as a bit of a crowded place please be careful. The outside area is opening up to night 1 o'clock but the entrance is closed in the evening. So, you can go in the evening at 4 o'clock it's better. Always if I'm going here I'm mostly buying ittar and local products you can try also before buying do the bargaining. Overall the good night out we enjoyed here.. !

It is remarkable to realise that the building and structure have stood there for more than four centuries. It is definitely a treat to watch but located in a very crowded area. You can also shop for pearls and traditional outfits in the market nearby.

  • 4/5 Harihar K. 8 months ago on Google
The structure looks strong. There are many shops surrounding it. There are also luggage shops where we can safely place our belongings. However, the structure lacks enough maintenance. It is not so clean from the inside. If there are a few security personnel guiding from the inside to prevent the rush, it would be very helpful for people.

My visit to Charminar was a sensory delight, a perfect blend of history and the lively present. Climbing the tower was a literal ascent into a world of mesmerizing views. The panoramic sight of the bustling market below was nothing short of enchanting. From the top, the city unfolded like a vibrant tapestry, and the iconic Charminar itself stood as a testament to Hyderabad's rich heritage. The intricate architecture and the hustle and bustle of the market created a unique juxtaposition that was both thrilling and nostalgic. The market at the base of Charminar is a treasure trove of colors, sounds, and diverse experiences. Vendors offered a kaleidoscope of goods, from vivid textiles to aromatic spices. Families strolled through the market, creating a lively atmosphere filled with laughter and the excited chatter of children. The kaleidoscopic display of colorful clothes added to the festive aura, creating a visual feast for visitors. It was heartening to witness the community spirit as people engaged in lively transactions and shared smiles. Climbing down from the tower, I felt immersed in the vibrant heartbeat of Charminar. The experience is a must for those seeking a slice of Hyderabad's rich culture, a perfect blend of history and contemporary life.

Very beautiful place. That old Indiaian charm. Very well mantained. I found getting a cloak room little complicated as you cant even carry a backpack to the monument. Stairs are very stiff and gives you a feeling of a fort. View of market from the top also looks very beautiful.

I recently visited the iconic Charminar on the weekend and was captivated by its architectural beauty. The historical significance and intricate design left a lasting impression. Lots of people as together at the streets before the building lovable charminar which is nearly 400 years old mosque similar to mecca. A crowdy place with different small roadside shops at cheapest rate mostly for women and children. Charminar is also famous for pearls there are more number of shops outside the road. It's 8km from secunderabad railway station really a place to visit where peaceful inside the building and with lovable crowded sound outside. Have a look and explore 😊😄

Charminar - A Historical Marvel and Biryani Haven Charminar stands tall as a testament to Hyderabad's rich history. This iconic monument, built in 1591, serves as a historical beacon, showcasing the city's architectural brilliance. It's a must-visit for history enthusiasts. But the real treasure lies in the culinary experience surrounding Charminar. Hyderabad is world-renowned for its delectable biryani, and the area around Charminar is no exception. The tantalizing aroma of spices and tender meat wafts through the air, drawing you to the many biryani joints. Whether you choose to savor the Dum Biryani or the flavorful Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani, each bite is a symphony of flavors.

One of the must visit places in the city of Hyderabad. At the heart of the city in between all the chaos, you find this marvelous monument. The best time to visit is in the evening to enjoy the view both during the daylight and evening lighting. You need to soak in the surroundings and observe an order existing in the way of life at this ever busy juncture. Ideally park your vehicle a couple of kms away and take an Autorickshaw. Walk around the place and enjoy the amazing tea in the nearby famous cafes. You can shop to your heart's delight for very affordable stuff.

A Timeless Icon: Charminar, Hyderabad (2017) My journey to Charminar in 2017 was a mesmerizing exploration of Hyderabad's historical and cultural tapestry. Standing tall and proud, Charminar is an iconic monument that effortlessly encapsulates the essence of the city. The intricate architecture, adorned with graceful arches and ornate minarets, transports visitors to a bygone era. The bustling bazaars surrounding Charminar add a vibrant touch, creating a lively atmosphere reflective of Hyderabad's rich heritage. Ascending the narrow staircases, I reached the upper levels, where panoramic views unfolded, offering glimpses of the city's dynamic landscape. The intricate detailing of the structure, coupled with the surrounding hustle and bustle, made this visit an immersive experience. Charminar's significance in Hyderabad's history is palpable, and my exploration of its nooks and crannies was a journey back in time. From the vibrant street life to the architectural marvel itself, Charminar remains an emblematic symbol of Hyderabad's cultural richness, leaving an indelible mark on all who wander through its historic archways.

Constructed in 1591, this magnificent monument has not only weathered the test of time but has become an integral part of Hyderabad's identity, proudly incorporated into the emblem of Telangana. The Charminar's grandeur is evident in its architectural splendor, with four ornate minarets gracefully connected by majestic arches. Its name, a fusion of the Urdu words "chār" and "minar" or "meenar," meaning "Four Pillars," captures the essence of this timeless structure. The meticulous craftsmanship and intricate detailing make it a true archaeological and architectural treasure, recognized and celebrated by the Archaeological Survey of India. Beyond its architectural significance, The Charminar plays a crucial role in the city's religious and cultural landscape. For over 425 years, the mosque on its top floor has been a site of prayer and contemplation, adding a spiritual dimension to its historical allure. The proximity to the Makkah Masjid, one of the city's main mosques, further enhances its religious importance. What makes The Charminar a truly enchanting destination is not just its historical and religious prominence but also its vibrant surroundings. The bustling local markets, particularly the famous Laad Bazaar to the west, create a lively atmosphere that draws both locals and tourists alike. The markets offer a kaleidoscope of colors, sounds, and aromas, making it an ideal place to immerse oneself in the local culture and indulge in traditional crafts, textiles, and culinary delights. The Charminar is not merely a static monument frozen in time; it is a dynamic hub of activity and celebration. The site hosts numerous festivals, including the joyous Eid-ul-adha and Eid al-Fitr, becoming a focal point for communal gatherings and cultural festivities. Its adjacency to the Makkah Masjid adds an extra layer of significance during religious celebrations. As a tourist attraction, The Charminar offers a captivating journey through history, culture, and spirituality. Visitors can explore the monument's nooks and crannies, climb to the top for a panoramic view of the city, and lose themselves in the vibrant energy of the surrounding markets. The synergy of history and modern life in this locale makes it a must-visit destination for anyone exploring Hyderabad. In conclusion, The Charminar stands tall not just as an architectural marvel but as a living testament to Hyderabad's rich heritage. Its ability to seamlessly blend historical significance with the pulse of contemporary life makes it a gem that continues to captivate and enchant all who have the privilege of experiencing its grandeur.

Charminar and its surrounding roads offer a vibrant yet crowded atmosphere, bustling with street vendors and people. The entrance and the presence of a new temporary temple setup may seem incongruous with the historical significance of this monument, impacting the overall experience for visitors.
