Best places: Things to dos in Haldórsvík, Faroe Islands

👍 There’s no amount of pictures that can do justice to this beautiful village. It’s beautiful. Make sure you are aware of the local laws and respect the Faroese people’s privacy.

👍👍 Super scenic spot, I recommend to go above the lower level waterfall and reach the cave behind the upper waterfall. Going up is a bit tricky and requires climbing but it gives you the full experience

👍👍 Super cute cafe and family run! The cafe serves coffee out of a thermos and sells a few other chocolate bars. The owner was super friendly, there’s interesting books and art pieces lining the walls and the view out the window was gorgeous.

👍👍 Plenty of free parking in the town. They do have free toilets, but no toilet paper. The port is so beautiful and worth a stop.

Walk along the cliff on the other side, at the minimum go a short distance to get a picture of the entire village with the gorge. 👍👍 Beautiful view along a scenic drive if coming from the natural harbor. There is a nearby hiking trail as well.

👍👍 A must see. Amazing hike on black sand with stunning views of waterfalls and the small villages. Can be completed around noon when the waters are low, but still very enjoyable all day long. Need to pay at the hike entrance. Highly recommended.
