👍👍 A journey back in time. Around 30' by car from Perpignan. An amazingly preserved medieval village in a stunning area. It's a magical place, full of small shops that sell handmade art pieces. The castle is majestic and has an interesting history. Everything opens at 10AM. Well worth a visit!

👍 Le chemin au départ du village à côté de l’église est déconseillé aux non sportifs, ça monte est assez accidenté a cause des écoulements de pluie, l’accès par les gorges semble plus facile même si le chemin est plus long. 👍 We visited the Fort Bellegarde end of June and end of covid. So we were there literally alone... Correction, us two lamas and a donkey 😁 Beautiful setting to camp for a night. We could not enter the Fort itself but the surroundings and outside views are amazing. Recommended if you are passing by....
