Best places: Historical landmarks in Vedène, France

👍👍 Wir starten bereits um 7 Uhr, da es sonst für uns zu heiß ist. So waren wir um 11 Uhr wieder am Parkplatz. Ein grossartige Wanderung und traumhaften Ausblicken. Der Weg war sehr gut zu erkennen und ausgeschildert. Ca. 400 Höhenmeter auf ca. 6 km Weg waren für uns passend.

👍👍 Superbe point de vue sur Saint-Rémy-de-Provence à travers le Rocher des Deux Trous. Pour y accéder, il faut se garer au parking de la Caume puis suivre le sentier goudronné. C'est donc dans un premier temps facile d'accès. Cela vous donnera l'occasion d'avoir de nombreux panoramas sur les Alpilles....

👍👍 Wonderfully evocative space, with settlements dating from the Bronze Age to Medieval times. Well preserved Roman town ramparts and vernacular buildings. Superb panoramas. Free entry. As Michelin might write- worth not just a detour, but a journey. As an aside, great walks and mountain biking here.

👍👍 The walk to the top is 15mins and quite steep but totally worth it. The view on the Rhone is impressive. The structures of the abbey are unique and the guide is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the place (he has been a guide for 40 years on this site)

👍👍 Petite randonnée bien montante pour ce rendre au château, mais ses ruines et la vue en valent la peine ! Si vous êtes dans le coin, je le recommande !

😠 Garden not in good shape at all when we visited. Not a great variety of plants, lack of colour and dried up weeds degrade the visual. 👍👍 Une jolie boucle de balade à partir du parking de l'oppidum à la sortie de Gaujac. Pensez à porter des chaussures de marche. On découvre, en pleine nature, au milieu du trajet l'oppidum avec des ruines romaines, temple et thermes, et les restes d'un village médiéval.
