π Overall out experience here was good but let down by a few things, read on.
On arrival we were seated very quickly to our indoor table (pre-booked). The restaurant was fairly empty and we could only see two other tables occupied. Our food and drinks order taken quickly. The drinks arrived but no be...

1909 Restaurant & Wine Bar
Seafood restaurant
π Nice restaurant set in a period building in the Main Street of Dalkey. They offer regular Irish pub grub and some other European dishes.
Food was nice but not excellent. Our server, while very professional, was a bit overbearing and very impersonal. They also had a βvoluntaryβ 10% tip which we didn...

Benito's Restaurant
Italian restaurant
π The most racist place I've ever witnessed in Ireland. It was just a pleasant evening where me and my friend ordered a piazza for takeaway but the owner and his staff took us, where he asked us to leave the place, once we got out pizza after 45 minutes. When we were just asking for an explanation abo...

Killiney Hill Playground
Playground
π It's a nice place but the playground is a bit simple. No bathrooms close for children and no bins for rubbish around either.
It hasn't many things for kids to play so I wouldn't go often. I would only pass by if we want to go on a quick hike on the hill.

Thyme Out
Gourmet grocery store
π I'd have rated this place a 5 if we could have eaten off proper plates. This is essentially a takeaway with some indoor seating.
Salads were fresh and very tasty as were our chickpea rolls. However it's all served up in takeaway containers very very much anti all the environmental rules. Signs on...

ππ Unfortunately I was there for a funeral during Covid19 but the way the church was looking and operated was without fault. A church worth a visit in this historic village.
