👍 The trail was steeper and tougher than we expected. There were many wet and slippery rocks and at times even running water since it rained the day before. You'll definitely need a good pair of shoes and to be careful as you traverse the hike. In the end the view was worth it.

👍👍 This monument in Casement Square commemorates those who died in the British ocean liner, RMS Lusitania, the Lucy as she was nick-named and at the time the world's largest passenger ship, a ship which on 7th May 1915 while nearing the end of her 202nd crossing, bound for Liverpool from New York, was...

👍👍 As Cobh, formerly Queenstown, was the last port of call of the RMS Titanic before she set sale to New York, the town has many memorials dedicated to the tragedy. This memorial, dedicated to the passengers of Titanic is located in the centre of town, at the corner of Pearse Square and West Beach. I...

😐 Monument didn't really tell you too much apart from it's in aid of the famine. You only need 5 minutes but don't park in the car park over the road as waste of money for 5 minute view. Park down by the abbey which is down the side road, free parking and actually more interesting to see the abbey.

👍👍 I think everyone love this statue and has their photo taken here. It is a true part of Galway The statue of the two writers, by Tiiu Kirsipuu, was constructed in 1999. The imaginary conversation between the Irish writer Oscar Wilde (1854-1900) and Estonian writer Eduard Vilde (1865-1933), depicted i...

The Croppies Acre

😐 When my friend, who is a professional nanny, told me she took the kid to Croppies Acre I was horrified! To me, Croppies Acre is the park to be avoided, the park where you watch out for syringes. Anyway, I decided to check it out for myself, and found that it's changed a lot in the last few years. It...

Connolly's Folly
Monument
😐 This is a very impressive structure that I definitely recommend visiting if you're in the area. Unfortunately there's only a small area directly in front of the landmark to park, directly in front of the "no parking" sign. The landmark is also surrounded by a rather ugly metal fence. I'm taking star...
