This is a gem hidden on our doorsteps, amazing piece of history and architecture. On the outside are the stone lions guarding it and the inside is much bigger then you would expect, there are rooms below ground too and we had a guided tour who explained the history of the building and its owners and designers. The grounds are lovely too

This is definitely a hidden gem of Dublin . I would highly recommend taking a detour to see this. It’s unique architecture and mind blowing tardis effects will leave you with strong memories of the place. Definitely a must for any budding amateur historians. The tour guide did an excellent job of bringing the history to life understanding what the place was used for and how it connected to the local economy.

Very interesting and unique building with fascinating architecture and history. The tour guide provided a lot of information about the building, the family and the history of the general area. It’s great to hear how the entire estate has been used and divide through time.

Great tour with Damian. He was lively and entertaining as well as informative. The Casino is a hidden gem in Dublin but it's well worth a few hours of any heritage-lover's time.

Today for our September monthly tour we visited the OPW site Marino Casino, eleven members travelled. Our tour guide Martin was an expert on his subject and despite it being a relatively small house compared to some of the stately Houses and Castle’s that we recently visited it has an extensive history and it’s architecture is fabulous . It is a free tour and I have no hesitation in recommending a visit to it.

To be honest the reviews up here speak volumes about the house. So I'll just agree with them. Absolutely fantastic place to visit our guide Davey was amazing with indept knowledge and facts. It's quite incredible that more Dubs don't know about the house. Highly recommended a visit.

What a gem of a place. I studied this place for Art History over 28yrs ago in my Leaving Certificate, only getting to see it now. Absolutely blown away by it and it's importance in 18th century architecture in Ireland . Do not overlook this place if you can the tour guides are brilliant and very helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed and will be back next year.

Sadly the Casino Marino was closed for renovations when I visited. The Casino is cordoned off and you cannot gain access. It is easily accessible as it’s on a main road, the Malahide road, into the city center. Several bus routes, route 14, 15, 27, 42 and 43, pass by the entrance every few minutes. Check the OPW, Office of Public Works website, to see when the Casino Marino is due to reopen.

An interesting oddity made possible by compact rooms and trick windows. Too bad it isn’t open more and when it is, more of it isn’t accessible. Quite sure Open House weekend (every October) is about the only time you can visit.

Beautiful building with a fascinating history. The first sculptural building in Ireland. I went on a guided tour and the guide was great; they were very generous with their time and had a wealth of knowledge about the original owner Lord Charlemont and the symbolism of the architectural details.

Always admired this building from afar. Booked a free tour and was delighted to get to see inside it. 16 very small rooms inside.

I really enjoyed my visit yesterday. Even though I arrived when a tour was already ongoing, I’ve been included in the tour and Damian who gave the tour was so nice! The house itself was beautiful and I loved to learn about all the details that made it so special. I highly recommend to go and visit.

What a beautiful hidden gem!!! First time there even though we live very close, it was well worth! We got a guided tour which made it very interesting. Damien was a super guide, friendly and knowledgeable. Shame there's no place for refreshments!

Great architectural example of a folly. Currently being renovated so can't go inside at this time. The grounds provide a nice place to bring your dog. They do lock the gate at 7pm sharp.

For those with an interest in seeing perfect design to the eye, then make your next visit the Casino of Marino. Located north of Dublin City and just off Collins Avenue is this architectural masterpiece. The site is run by the OPW, (Office of Public Works) and as always the guides are very knowledgeable about the site.
