規模もそれなりに大きく歩きやすいため、初心者におすすめです。
登山口から20〜30分で本丸跡まで行けます。
このあたりの地名の由来でもある三雲氏によって築かれた城で、主君でえる六角氏の逃げ城でもありました。1570年に織田信長により落城しました。
