AZALAÏ HOTEL (MARHABA )
Hotel
😠 Hotel says that they have 24 hour airport shuttle but refused to take us to the airport, and said that they’ve never seen the website before.
The food at the restaurant was mediocre at best.
Would not recommend staying here for a pleasant experience.

Mauritanian National Museum
Museum
👍👍 This is a nice experience, especially the top floor. We didn’t take a guide and took about 20 minutes in total. Can easily fit into any schedule of a visit to Nouakchott.

Galerie Zeinart
Art gallery
👍👍 Galerie Zeinart is an oasis of peace and good taste in a dusty and sometimes overwhelming Nouakchott. Its Portuguese owner, Isabel, is warm and engaging and a great source of local knowledge. The art on display is curated with great care and offers a good insight into Mauritanian and regional art sc...

Nouakchott Modern University
University
😐 below average; But it is part of a corrupt system; And structural corruption on solid layers of reinforced concrete... the only university, huge numbers of students, lost professors, a weak budget, no investment, no scientific research, and no innovation. The truth is that university education in th...

Hôtel Tfeila
Hotel
😠 I went to this hotel to have lunch. It was a ripoff! It was buffet, but the only main courses were fried chicken and fried fish, the rest were vegitable and desserts, which were very normal and not much choices anyway. The charge was so expensive, MRU4,000 per head for both adult and child. Also did...

A Casa Portuguesa
Portuguese restaurant
😐 Quite quaint little.place. if you want a little calm from the hectic city of Noakchott, this is it. A coffee and cool.nighy breeze her is ideal. The food is ok but I just ordered burgers here. It seems like a little place visited mostly by expats. Just and observation.

Hôtel Halima فندق حليمة
Hotel
🫤 The rooms are basic, but clean. No kettle or anything like that in the rooms to make at least coffee. Décor of the rooms are old-fashioned. The breakfast was simple. As a South African and well travelled, this is not the greatest - bread, a coffee sachet, a glass of juice, a piece of cheese and a sm...

Stade Capital
Stadium
😐 The stadium of the late Sheikhna Ould Bedia, known locally as (Stade Capital), is located near the National Football Federation (FFRIM). It is the second largest stadium in the capital, Nouakchott, after the Olympic Stadium in Tevragh Zeina. Many Mauritanian league matches are also held in this stad...
