Den Bosch which was a formidable fortress in the surrounding swamps back in the 17th century. That is how it got its nickname "Swamp Dragon" which inspired the creation of the statue.

👍👍 Een heel leuk klein stadsparkje waar je je lekker even uit de stad/ centrum kan voelen en heerlijk tot rust kan komen. Lekker even picknicken of een klein kinderfeestje het is allemaal mogelijk!
Een aanrader om bij de Jumbo op de hoek even wat te halen en hier lekker op te eten 😀

👍👍 Two fantastic Museums under one roof. Even though 's-Hertogenbosch is an open-air museum in itself, the museums have a lot to offer in themselves. Nice to see that the museum fills the gaps of the National Rijksmuseum. Brabant has a different history than Holland, so this should be conveyed.
