👍👍 Iconic place. It is an active lighthouse and considered one of the tallest traditional lighthouses of the world. Currently inaccessible inside for visitation because of safety reasons, but you can still see it from afar (or get closer).

👍👍 One of the loveliest places in Den Helder! Quiet, green, and welcoming! Beside the large number of plant species, you can see butterflies, fish, turtles, birds, and probably many others. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Worth more than a visit!
