👍👍 Great history and a challenge. I had a nice cool day, age 74, climbed it in 30 mins easily.Stone steps not great : height and width : steel steps in second leg much easier. Great views all round from all heights. Wall painting interesting to see but probably better studied in guide book.

👍👍 This is a hidden treasures in Dambulla. Although this place is named "Kalu Diya Pokuna", there is hardly any body water that is worthy of being referred as a "Pokuna".

Pidurangala rock feature is also near this location. You can get relaxed with a nice barth at kandalama lake.
