Westhoughton Dog Park
Dog park
ππ We rented field 1 with the agility equipment (even though the dog didn't use it). The field is a good size and secure. There is a picnic bench and hut with water for the dogs.
I especially like this field as you can park right outside the entrance to the field and minimise interaction with other do...

Woodland Trust Walker Fold Car Park
Parking lot
ππ Great car park maintained by the Woodland trust. Car parking is free with a donation ,have to admit I don't pay every time, usually once a week as I go there nearly every day. The cafe truck is great, although I think must be shut over the colder months.

Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Bolton
Hindu temple
π This place is never open. Been like 4 times when it says on Google its open. I know what time aartis are but still closed. Just now I was there around 7, Googled said it closes at 8.30 but the doors were locked, the lights were on and rang 8 times but no answer. Didn't know God was VIP.

ππ Beautiful place to visit. Even on a nice day it wasn't overly busy, quite peaceful. There's plenty of benches and areas kids can run and play and there are several bins. I mention the bins because, despite it being a nature reserve, people don't appear to know how to use a bin. There was litter on t...
