👍👍 A former colliery site transformed into a nature park. It hasn't been over-managed and there are plenty of wild areas of flowers and long grass. There are several lakes and pools which are good for wildfowl. Some of them are fenced off to prevent disturbance. The site is excellent for butterflies....

👍 Great place for a nice, quiet and chilled out walk, we got to see a bunny and alot of ducks. Also now links up to the actual res bit as a cut through to the back car park, very useful.

👍👍 Great tree but a shadow of its former self.
Estimated to be around 1200 years old.
Thank you Sherwood Forest Trust for the very interesting information board.
The tree appears healthier now than when the photos on the board were taken in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century.
