👍👍 Lovely cafe with hot chocolate to die for. Sat on the grass having a break. Felt so lovely just chilling with a drink watching the world go by. Hats off to the team for making it so nice. Will be stopping by in a few days for some lunch too.

👍👍 I haven't been inside but it's nice place for walk. Big area to have nice family walk when you can spot cows and wild animals. A bit muddy but with "winter" weather its not surprising. A bit of Noise from motorway but it's not disturbing walk and chilling at all.

👍👍 A second visit from me, from the very South of the country and yet again, does not disappoint. The history, the age, the everything - so magical. I love the forest so this is a tree lovers dream. The little plaques and tales as you walk around really give you a sense of the ancient-ness of the place...

👍👍 It's a lovely place to visit. Tickets cost 4 pounds under 2 goes free. On entrance you can bay animals food for 1 pound. My 3 yers old son love feeding animals. You can see peacock, 2 big turtles, selection of poultry (chickens, goose, turkeys), parrots, pigs, ponytails, ships, rams, alpacas, rabbi...

👍 Nice space to let the kids burn some energy. All play areas are nice and well kept. Car park is quite big and free to park. Toilets are now donation based next to the little cafe.

👍👍 A former colliery site transformed into a nature park. It hasn't been over-managed and there are plenty of wild areas of flowers and long grass. There are several lakes and pools which are good for wildfowl. Some of them are fenced off to prevent disturbance. The site is excellent for butterflies....

👍👍 This is well worth a visit. Very informative about our mining history. The staff great and its all dog friendly and all they ask for is a small donation because its run by volunteers.
