Adams Lake State Park
State park
π My friend and I jokingly renamed the park as Lily Pad Park and Lake of the Lilies because wellβ¦thatβs all that youβll see on the water these days! An occasional crane or a few ducks and geese. My family loves to kayak here (beginners and itβs easier on steady water when youβre new) and it makes it n...

ππ I have been coming here since I was 14, but religiously every year to hike and explore for the last 5 years.
I have had so many wonderful experiences here, usually always very peaceful. I have gone trash picking most recently since littering got a little worse this last year.
All in all a wonderfu...

Siloam Springs State Park

π $20 a night for power in the middle of nowhere equals quiet nights and lots of wildlife!!!
It's a hilly camp, so most trails are down and up. The tow in wasn't bad, a few small hills. The Hickory Hills spot was up a steep hill that I didn't want to tackle. The other camp sites were easily accessibl...

Natchez State Park

ππ The scenery is gorgeous, and the park is perfectly peaceful! We stayed in a cabin and the view from the back deck was beautiful. The geese, the water, the enormous green trees and no guests on either side of us made this getaway a true delight. The fixtures, carpet and furniture in the cabin are old...

ππ If you like biking and walking this trail is awesome! Itβs paved and very wide, and runs for miles it seems. Very peaceful and great scenery - highly recommend this area to explore! The trail was even cleared of snow in February and we saw five Bald Eagles and their nest!

Adams County Historical Society
Museum
π Iβm thinking many of the high reviews here are from people that may not have been to many historical societies before and arenβt exactly looking at the big picture with how a historical society or museum are supposed to be managed. This is one of those that had a few old items donated decades ago bu...
