Bunny Flat Trailhead

👍👍 It offers two trails - Ski Bowl and Horse camp. Ski Bowl is higher in elevation and a longer hike. Beautiful, scenic views but it was hard to follow the trail because it was covered in snow still. If you’re feeling adventurous, I’d recommend ski bowl but if not - Horse camp is your best option.

👍👍 The Lower Falls are 100 feet walk from the parking lot. There is a free access restroom and several picnic tables. If you hike another 200 feet pass the falls, up the trail, there is an area where you can get into the water to cool off.

👍👍 Great view point for Mt. Shasta! There are few spots to view the big snow mountain and this is a very nice one. Just off the road, with plenty of parking, and facing the big mountain with gorgeous views and nice introduction. Highly recommend for a short stop and relax.

Golden Dome Cave

👍👍 This was the first cave we visited in Lava Beds and it was a great introduction. Be aware that the ceiling in this cave gets low and requires you to stoop at times (watch your head as the ceiling is sharp in places). The golden color on the dome is really amazing when you get there.

👍👍 A smaller cave to hike in when visiting the Lava Beds in Tulelake, Ca. There are a few caves you can explore and this one was very neat. It is like a giant circle when you go inside and it is very easy to walk through. As with the other caves, be aware of bats!
