My wheelchair popped a tire yesterday and the staff there went above and beyond to not only help me fix it but make sure I was okay. I am so grateful for everything they and a couple of bystanders did for me!

Very bad customer service. Called store saying I was gonna be 2 minutes late to pick up my online order and they denied me service cause they close at 6pm! :(

My go-to hardware store. They usually have what I need, not always, due to their size. I prefer dealing with a small local business rather than HD or Lowes if I can. Same price as the big guys. Very friendly and helpful staff. I'm a church mouse and like being able to pop 3 minutes down the road for something I need.

I bought what I thought was a new drill, but it ended up being a used or returned product. The box looked in rough shape, but I didn't think much of it, and since that was the only one left, I decided to buy it anyway - the drill was on sale. After unpackaging, I could CLEARLY see the wear marks on the battery and drill – at that point I knew I had been had. The problem is that I live over 1 hour away from Elmvale. Returning the drill would have been a 2+ hours investment in time and 20$ in gas… to return a 100$ drill… I decided to keep the drill and it broke within 2 weeks… No, I did not contact the store… but I did contact the local warranty department – which is also far away… In both cases, it would be an investment of time and money to minimize my loss, which I won’t bother doing – I just should not have to. I am just disappointed that you sold me a clearly used product as “new”.

Really wonderful customer service. Don't think you will save money by going to one of the Big Box stores, Home Hardware has many great deals and unique products as well. Recently my wheelbarrow, sink strainer and garden fork I bought from Elmvale Home Hardware were considerably less expensive and having the same quality. Support your local Hardware store!!

A cute location that has a lot in stock!! I was pleasantly surprised, all the employees seemed ready to help me out! I wish i remembered her name but a girl with red hair helped me a lot with picking out paint yesterday. Would recommend!

Great place to find the coolest things

I popped in today to pick up a sponge mop; something I've been hunting for for quite some time. Very friendly and approachable staff .. particularly the very personable young man who provided a quick tutorial on the mop's operation. I enjoyed the fun. Thanks for the laughs, young man. Well worth the trip from downtown Ottawa.

It's a 5/5 for convenience because it has groceries, Dollarama, hardware, drug store and Starbucks in one location BUT it's VERY annoying that the Starbucks has the same address despite being a whole different building! Not good for Para Transpo & I'm trying to change it.

It's smaller than the box stores, but they still carry all the essentials. Only times I've needed to order something is when I wanted a different colour or something like that. Most importantly -- staff are super helpful and knowledgeable. they can fix pretty much anything!

Never had been there and had trouble finding it, but called ahead with an order and they had it ready at the door. Very little wait, they had a cashier getting orders and another gentleman, answering customer questions on stock etc., at the front door. Very smooth and polite operation.

Not sure how this place stays in business.... rude management, no inventory. I can find better inventory at a dollar store then this place. Good luck and don't waste your time going to this store.... home depot, rona and lowes are proper stores for your home "handy" needs...

My FAVOURITE store in Elmvale Acres! There's always a staff member available to help, and each is caring, knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with. They have great prices for a little store and a surprising range of hardware items when you need something in a pinch.
