Went here for lunch, I thought my burger was pretty good and it was some of the best bar pizza I’ve had. I’m giving only 3 stars as I thought the waitress had no interest in serving us. Had to flag her down to order as it had been a half hour we were sitting and couldn’t order. Never checked on us to see how the meal was as I would have liked some salt but she was no where to be found. I made sure to flag her down to pay the bill as I’m not sure she would have returned to our table. I would give less stars but I really enjoyed the pizza!

Only giving this 1 star because it doesn't let me put 0. Waited 15 minutes outside and not one person spoke with us, we were at the front of the line. I understand being understaffed, but at least come and talk to us and acknowledge our presence. Very poor experience. Ended up leaving after 15 to go somewhere that wants out business

The place to go for cheap eats especially as a uOttawa student! Cannot beat their 8 dollar breakfast! Everything is always delicious and the people are the nicest. Great atmosphere and workers are super involved in the uOttawa community!

University of Ottawa students and staff hang out place…… local basic flare and traditional pub menu. Came here after 9 pm on Friday and place was packed, no standing crowds. Great hang out for cheap and simple eats.

A typical pub for the university students. The food is tasty and what you expect it to be (cheese curds in the poutine were squeaky!) But the highly affordable prices compared to other nearby places makes up for it! I would recommend the red sangria. The staff are super patient and nice with their accomodation of our large group on a short notice. Clean, bright pub vibes.

Good Canadian restaurant overall. Food didn't take long to come, delicious and perfectly cooked to the desired temperature. The service was lacking a bit in the speed and the presentation but not too bad.

The service and food at Moxie's have been absolutely wonderful! They are respectful of COVID practices while being very accommodating and so friendly. Their patio is definitely the best in Orleans and offers a cozy, intimate atmosphere keeping customers and staff socially distanced. Jurnay and Matt are so hardworking and set an incredible example to their staff. We will continue to return here regularly for a great time over great food! Thank you so much for providing me and my boyfriend and safe go-to spot for dinner and drinks!

horrible service, 2 hour wait when told 15 minutes never to be talked to or seated, left without any food. eat anywhere except this pathetic excuse of a restaurant.

Tldr. Don't go for the food. Got their poutine. The fries were a bit cold in some places, other places weren't crispy, and some sections were edible. The gravy was terrible, no flavour or thickness/fat, just salt, and they gave a small serving over nice cheese curds (I mean they don't make them so that's probably why it was nice). Friends also had poutine and agree with review. Other friends had the sandwiches and quesadillas, thought it was ok. Apparently beer was good.

This is a cosy campus pub/restaurant that has a good selection of beer and reasonable prices for food. Their menu is also pretty broad, with offerings that include pizza, spaghetti, lasagna, French onion soup, Philly steak wrap, burgers, poutine, salad, nachos, and fajitas. While I have eaten here before (I enjoyed my food) during my latest visit I only had a beer. The atmosphere was very relaxed, while the bartender was attentive. Overall two thumbs up.

I have visited here on a number of occasions in the past. While I've previously noted that the staff always seem to be under a certain level of pressure, leading to longer than usual waiting times, I have always given them the benefit of the doubt. However, my experience this evening was simply beyond unacceptable. It was a Monday, traditionally not the busiest time in the restaurant industry, but still, we found ourselves waiting for over ten minutes just to be acknowledged. Finally, we seated ourselves at a table that was still littered with the remnants of the previous customers' meals. When the waiter did appear, he not only refused to clean the table but also made it clear that he believed it was an unreasonable request, given our presence at the table. His attitude was shockingly rude. While I understand the pressures of restaurant service, there is no excuse for such discourteous and unwelcoming behavior. Good service is the cornerstone of any restaurant experience and sadly, "Father & Sons" fell dramatically short this time. I hope the management takes note and makes the necessary changes to improve their service. Until then, I cannot in good conscience recommend this restaurant.

The food wasn’t bad and the waiter was attentive but I only gave 4 stars because it seemed like the waiter didn’t care about me at all. He did his job but not once did he smile or act friendly. Just turned his back to me every time. Once I paid the bill I gave him a big smile and said thank you very much in an extra kind manor and he did not even respond at all, just turned away with no reply. Very very rude. Other then that food was great for price point

Decided to try breakfast at this place, the food was really good, huge portions, you can share the portion with friend. We took Garry's club and the work bagel, both of them were good. The place itself was also nice and a lovely waitress. You can eat inside during the covid.

Is the service amazing? No, it's pretty mediocre to be honest. But you don't come here for the service. You come here to grab wings and beers with the boys. And in that regard, FnS excels. 5/5

I went to this restorant with 5 friends and we waited for 1 hour. We finally got seated and order chicken wings. It was a "wing night". After 45 minutes the server told us that they don't have any more wings. I will never go there again and I suggest evertone else not to go because service is horible.

Good selection of beers. Food is standard pub fare. But as with most student orientated places, the service is hit and miss. If the place is empty, everything arrives in good time. If they're the least bit busy, all bets are off.

Great service. Had breakfast here twice to watch the World Cup. Plenty of beers to choose from. Really enjoyed it. I had the Breakfast Poutine which was fantastic.

The waitresses we had are rude, unprofessional and forgetful. The waitresses could even say thank u after I wished her a good rest of her night and tipped her well. I will not be returning that’s for sure

Amazing breakfast, your classic greasy spoon with good pricing and trust! There's no sacrificing quality with the volume they get. But it gets better great drink pricing, and a solid menu beyond eggs. All around favorite for Sandy Hill. Did I mention the staff....

Service was one of the worst ive ever encountered. Dirty looks from all the staff and when being seated, the hostess pointed at our table from across the room instead of seating us. Coffee was bad and food wasn’t very good either. Would give this place 1 star but the waffles were actually really good

Love love love coming here for a night out with the girls. The staff are all incredible, just like the food. Lots of entertainment going on, and I miss the pre-covud days with all their special little events like karaoke nights.

Pre Pandemic we went to this location to celebrate a special occasion. We had such incredible service and the food was amazing. They were 100% allergy friendly. Also surprised us with a dessert treat. Great touch! Fab service and delicious food, totally recommend Moxie's!

I got a 50 dollar gift card for Christmas and picked up dinner for my wife and I on Feb 1. I had the blackened chicken burger and she had the mango chicken, both were excellent. I got a HUGE amount of fries and they were delicious. My wife’s chicken was also really good and we appreciated how they packed everything. It looked like there was just a single server taking care of everything and she went above and beyond. Super polite and professional on the phone and in person. She wrote a kind note on our take out order, a small thing but I appreciated the personal touch. Great stuff, will go again.

We got bruschetta as our app and steak and potatoes as our meal and everything was 10/10 especially the server.

Service was fantastic. Food was really good. Cleanliness though.... Nobody at my table was wearing lipstick, yet there was lipstick on my glass somehow. Went to use my fork, food still stuck on that. Server apologized for it, she was great. But overall impressions are pretty low. Hopefully this was a one off. I would definitely think twice before choosing this as my next date night place.

Staff was doing well for themselves with Covid protections, however the patrons were not. I didn't see a single staff member ask a customer to follow the rules.

Ordered the salmon & avocado cobb salad. The iceberg lettuce was old with reddish stains, avocados were brown and the soft boiled eggs were cold. This clearly wasn't freshly prepared. However, there was very good service and the ambiance was nice!

I don't like burgers. Don't at me David. I love their hotdogs. It gave me good feelings. I had an allergic reaction to the peantus but that's fine, I really enjoyed the hot dog. I'm sad to say I was given cajun fries poutine as it sucked. Don't do me like that. Never mix sauce and spice. Als buy their hotdogs you will like them or I'm going to get you outside your school

Good food and huge variety of dishes

Went for Sunday lunch and they said only the breakfast menu, which was fine. Home fries were really good. What you'd expect for a student breakfast and pub place. Decor and atmosphere was lacking but wasn't expecting much.

Super friendly service. Make sure to come earlier if anything because it can get pretty busy. Very popular with uOttawa students. Food was delicious and came to the table quickly. I will definitely be going back there soon.

This is based on a July 2022 visit. This place is a must-see spot. I went to it twice because of the exceptional service. The staff was super friendly and courteous. The food came out in a timely fashion and was delicious. Servings are a generous size. I ordered the Veggie omlette with toast and hash browns /wedges along with one side pancake and that was the right amount for me (on the second day). The first day, I ordered something similar but there were three pancakes. That was too much to eat in one sitting. On both occasions I also got green tea that came in an antique looking decanter with a cup. The atmosphere was very relaxed and great for casual or informal dining. The prices were competitive, and I will always stop by when i am close. Photos to follow

Excellent place to grab food with friends. I’ve been multiple times. Most recent time, I got the bbq chicken pizza. Very good but a little too many onions. Perfect for students.

I went with my family since we were craving some wings and other finger food for lunch We ended up coming the next day again for breakfast too which was also pretty good, the service was a little bit worse than it was the day before but I think our waitress was a trainee Food was delicious, prices are great, the service is okay hence the 4 stars otherwise I’d give it 5. Will definitely be coming again!

The service was very busy but they were good however the part that ruined our entire night and experience was the main security guard working Wednesday, September 7th. He was so rude to me and my friends. One of my friends went outside to smoke and was not allowed back in with no warning. He also got in our faces as we were leaving and really made a group of 19 year of girls feel so bad and scared.

We were her for a private event. The staff was INCREDIBLE. Very fast and helpful, never had an empty glass. Atmosphere was very good, chill vibe, spots themed.

Decided to try this place as we wanted to go out for wings and dine on a patio in the nice weather. We had the medium flavour and honey garlic flavour wings. They were large and filling wings. Definitely did not disappoint. Will be back again.

My son, grandson and I decided to eat here because of the name and they served chicken wings, my grandson’s fav. We were not disappointed, five stars on all accounts across the board. Although the food here is decent for the price, the service is just terrible. The past two times I've been here with my partner, we have walked out without even being seated or even acknowledge by a staff member for over ten minutes. I'm not expecting a table right away as I understand they are a busy pub. But, it felt like the waitresses and host were specifically avoiding eye contact with people waiting for a table and they wouldn't even say hello or give us an estimated wait time. These are some customer service basics in a restaurant. Even times when I have managed to get a table, service was typically very slow. I once waited over 30 minutes for a coffee refill... Overall, the food and the prices may be good, but the service is just too abysmal to justify coming here again.

A perfect place for Breakfast and pocket friendly for students too. Love the Waffles and Cheese Omelette. Swiss Mashroom Vegetarian Burger is really yummy too.
