    Absolutely terrible quality - save your money and go elsewhere. I spent $300 on a pair of 'leather' boots that ripped open the first time wearing them. Management is denying this is their problem, despite this clearly being a manufacturing default. This company does not care about accountability, quality, or client retention and I will never buy another pair of shoes form them again. UPDATE: The comment this company left on this review showcases how far they will go to deny responsibility for how terrible quality their products are. Off-loading accountability by saying "leather requires a certain level of maintenance" is remarkably condescending and iterates the way I was treated by their management. I would like to reiterate that these boots ripped open the first time ever worn - within approximately 20 minutes into a light walk on a sunny day. As someone who has a collection of leather shoes, many of which are vintage, I can genuinely say that you are wasting your money by shopping at L'Intervalle and you will be disappointed by the quality of your purchase.

    Worst customer service, Iā€™ve had bad experiences with this store when it was located on the third floor. But continued going because I really liked some of their shoes. I shopped online during the quarantine season and got some shoes that were too big. They were in the biggest size they carry (size 10) I called the store, spoke to the manager and she assured me that I could get someone to return them for store credit since Iā€™m unable to leave my home because Iā€™m not well. (Non COVID related health issues) The biggest size they carry sometimes runs way too small for me, my friend couldnā€™t just select another shoe to exchange. Therefore the manager I spoke to over the phone assured me that would be possible. Once my friend got to the store, the employee denied what the manager had agreed upon and ignored my friend the half of the time while being extremely rude and quite condescending. I was on the phone hearing the exchange. I feel bad for sending my friend to do the return because of how badly she was treated. Iā€™ve overlooked their horrible customer service for a couple years now, but this is where I draw the line. I hope you train your forward.

    I was a loyal Lā€™Intervalle customer for years at this store and online. This week soles of 2 pairs of boots of the same model different colours (my favourite boots) that I purchased a year ago split in half. The boots cannot be repaired and are no longer wearable. I contact customer service and am told nothing can be done because itā€™s past the one month return policy. Boots should continue to be wearable after a year. There is obviously a manufacturing issue with the soles of this particular product line because the upper leather part of the boots is in excellent condition but Iā€™m told thereā€™s nothing they can do. For the first time in years as a loyal customer I require assistance to address a quality issue from customer service and get absolutely no help. I am so disappointed in the response from customer service that I am no longer a customer and will be shopping for boots as well as shoes that last longer than a year elsewhere. Lā€™Intervalle Response (see below): I followed up with customer service again as requested in the follow-up posted by Lā€™Intervalle to my review. I find out that the response posted by Lā€™Intervalle is simply a robotic posting automatically issued to address customer complaints. There was no sincere attempt to resolve the matter - so disappointing - and simply affirms that my business is going elsewhere.

    This place is god awful. The service is so pushy, honestly I love this brand but refuse to step foot into this store. The manager thinks heā€™s funny and charming, heā€™s very annoying overbearing and the pushiest. The music is so terrible there.

    Shopping here is a miserable experience now. The store used to have excellent sales associates. It seems like they replaced all the associates who truly liked shoes and were DIVERSE with vapid women who donā€™t understand customer service and just stand around instead of helping. I donā€™t intend on going back. Sad because I used to be a regular customer.

    I brought my online order in for an exchange because the item had a defect - the insole was torn in such a way that was rubbing up against the inside of my foot, straight out it the box. Given itā€™s a brand new item, expected better quality and so brought it in store for an exchange for an exact same pair and size. It has now been 3 weeks and I am yet to have the item, after being told shipping takes 1 week at most. Iā€™ve been more than patient, called ONCE to inquire about it and met with attitude I didnā€™t expect from a company I shopped with for years. The tone and timbre of their voice was that of someone whose teeth are being pulled just to do the basics of their job. She was about to hang up as I was continuing to talk to ask when their shipments arrive. If you donā€™t like customer service, please donā€™t subject customers to your presence and attitude. Forget about an apology, or even anything simply to placate the situation; it was childish, defensive attitude. I was originally told the item may be here next week (going into 4th week now), all for an exchange for subpar quality of the item your company originally sold. I get 2 weeks, but going into 4 weeks is unacceptable for a store in the cityā€™s biggest mall and countryā€™s capital. Left a gross taste in my mouth - stuff happens, but attitude is unnecessary.

    I used to shop here for the years. Love the assortment and the quality. The shoes from this store were always my favorites. But this time I could not find anything for me. Everything was in great color, but in the same style. Can't say about the service because I had no chance to meet with it.

    I was in need for a new everyday boot and decided to try this store at Rideau. I was hesitant at first after reading the reviews. But after visiting the store and shopping with the new store manager Moe and his new staff, I was amazed and I must say I had the best customer service Iā€™ve ever had. He listened to my needs every step of the way and knew exactly what I was looking for. He helped me try on a couple of styles I was interested in and advised me on what to get based on how many hours Iā€™m standing on my feet for work. The quality is amazing all genuine leather hand made in Europe from Brazil, Italy and Spain. Iā€™m definitely recommending all my friends and family to this place. To Moe and his new staff Thank you for the VIP treatment! Will definitely be back!

    one of the sandals is already broken after wearing them only 3 times. Consider the high price, this is not acceptable. Really bad quality. I will never buy from this store again.

    really disappointed in the customer service at this store. as a Montreal girl myself, I always tell my friends about l'intervalle with pride. The sales associate was cold, unfriendly and unhelpful. When I asked if I could try a certain shoe in my size, she said "we don't have it." Nothing about looking online, ordering it myself, not showing me anything similar. Not a good experience.

    I went shopping at the Rideau Mall store of L'INTERVALLE on April 7, 2022, and I was blown away with the fantastic customer experience I had with Daniela the sales lady I met; bearing in mind the negative reviews I had read a night before online. When I got to the store, she was on the phone with another customer, and she welcomed me with a hand gesture and a smile (which I read from her eyes -masks on). I came to the store to get my right size and place order for a few shoes I had seen online. My need was a bit complicated and time consuming, however, Daniela was very patient and understanding. After about an hour, I walked out a very satisfied customer after placing my order. Thank you very much for a very great and pleasant service. N.B. From my deduction, the store has a new management team, so those who have had an unpleasant experience, please do give them another chance. There is huge sale on now, so spoil yourself, you deserve it after surviving the last two challenging years : ). God bless you.

    I went to shop at lā€™intervalle Rideau last week because I needed a new pair of sandals and my friend highly recommended lā€™intervalle for the good quality and unique style of their shoes . I was so happy with the big variety that they have and had the most pleasant shopping experience with a team that was very dedicated and eager to help . Every single employee was nice , patient and professional. I spent more then an hour trying shoes and the girls were very helpful all the way . I ended up buying more then a pair and will come back again ! Thank you for all the team especially the manager (Moe ) . You are all awesome !!!!

    Amazing friendly staff who really pay attention to the needs of the customer and ask all of the right questions. You can tell that they really love the product and enjoy working in the store. I will definitely be back as this was the best customer service experience I had in any of the 3 shoe stores that I visited in the mall. Amazing quality too!

    i did bought 4 pairs at one time, my first time shopping at Lā€™intervalle. I flew to Ottawa for a conference. anyway, story short i was pleased and satisfied with the customer service of the sales lady who assisted me that time she was so kind and patience as my size is different from other tv e other shoesā€¦Also, i was so thankful that sheā€™s sending the three items in a package so i donā€™t have to bring it with me in the plane. i will shop at this store again only if the same beautiful and respectful sales lady. I forgot her name sorry. but she has a nice body figure with a long hair. Merci !

    Super friendly, patient, and helpful staff. Service was quick and efficient, but they didn't rush me at all. They've got so many pretty boots and shoes and I've fallen in love! Definitely coming back here when they have their new season in!

    I wish I read these reviews before I went. It was so terrible and got more terrible by the day. I tried on a shoe and the sales associate told me it was 50% off, when I got to the cash the other associate said they were not. It was obviously on sale but he wanted to make a bigger sale. It left a bad test in my mouth. I went to another store and found something similar so I came back to return them and NOONE IN THE STORE COULD DO RETURNS! She told me to come back in 40 mins when the manager was back from break. I was very annoyed at this point. I came back later, she didnā€™t apologize for the inconvenience, she was very cold and rude. I thought she process the return but actually double charged me!!!!! She called me the next morning to come back to the store to get the charges reverser. Again, no apology, just that I should come by the store before 6. I was beyond upset, I had to leave work early and pay for parking to go back. I got there and she said ā€œthanks for coming backā€, no apology. She seemed more annoyed than me. I thought she could at least offer me a discount or something but an apology at the least. I have never had this happen in any store let alone a big box store in the mall. Never going back!

    Stumbled in with my mother. She bought boots. Quality was better, fit better, and price better than known name brand boots on hold at a competitor's store during same shopping trip. Appears to be its own brand, not just a reseller. Worth looking at.

    This store is by far my favourite shoe store. Amazing quality product at a great price and they often have sales. I recommend them to my friends and family and always hear back about how they're addicted to buying these shoes. The staff in the store have always been an absolute pleasure to work with, even when I bought a sale item of the wrong size by accident, they were more than happy to let me exchange for the correct size.
