Once a summer residence of Ottoman sultans, this palace is in a unique, stunning location on the Asian coast of Bosporus. Offering incredible views directly to the sea, the bridge and both the Asian and European coasts, it will take your breath away! Beautiful garden with ponds and statues, magnificent sea gates all over..! And what can I say about the masterpiece of architecture, the palace itself? The luxury both of outside and inside will leave you in awe! I enjoyed it so much, a visit there is a must, especially if you want an alternative to avoid the crowds in Dolmabahçe palace! Very sadly, photos are prohibited inside the palace.

Pretty palace but you cannot take pictures inside it and most rooms are super similar. Important to say that most of it is undertaking renovations. Also update about the price, it is now 200 TL per person.

Berühmte Gäste waren u. a.

I was truly captivated by the beauty and design of it. The intricate stone walls and elegant archways showcased impeccable craftsmanship. Inside, the blend of opulence and historical charm was mesmerizing. I stumbled upon a cozy coffee shop with a stunning view of the Bosphorus, offering a perfect moment of relaxation. This castle is an enchanting must-visit, embodying history and serenity in one place.

Another beautiful palace in Istanbul. It was very easy to get there with public transport. It was worth it to visit inside the palace and enjoy beautifully decorated interiors and find out who visited this palace. Grounds were very well kept and the place had happy and calm atmosphere. I can only imagine how much fun guests must had there in those days. Worth visiting whilst you are in Istanbul and love history and interiors as much as I do.

Very beautiful but no reason for you being a paying customer and not being allowed to take photos! Makes no sense Tickets are more reasonable than other attractions in Istanbul, but still, it’s not free and there’s no reason as to why you wouldn’t be able to take photos. Super gorgeous palace with incredible views of the bosphorus! The staff doesn’t speak great english but everyone was nice enough. The gentleman at the entrance of the castle was super friendly, everyone could learn from him! Very sad that most of the installations are closed, the kiosks and the gardens are off limits, very disappointing as they looked beautiful from the pictures. The palace is very beautiful but very small, to see everything should take you 30min. The audio guide isn’t very informative, as it mostly tells you the make of the chandeliers (spoilers: they’re all the same)

During our weekend trip to Turkey, we had the pleasure of visiting the Beylerbeyi Palace, and it was nothing short of magical. Despite it being a busy weekend, we were pleasantly surprised that the queue to enter was only about 10 minutes long. A handy tip for future visitors: the Museum Card is accepted here, which makes entry both convenient and cost-effective. The palace itself is a marvel of architecture and history, beautifully preserved and presented. Every room and corridor tells a story, transporting you back to the era of sultans and grandeur. The attention to detail in the design and decorations is astounding, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Turkey. Situated near the sea, Beylerbeyi Palace offers breathtaking views that are a treat for the eyes. The palace's location allows visitors to enjoy the serene beauty of the waterside, adding a tranquil backdrop to the opulent architecture. It's a great spot for photography enthusiasts or anyone looking to capture a piece of Istanbul's historical beauty. In summary, our visit to Beylerbeyi Palace was an unforgettable experience. The combination of great architecture, rich history, and stunning sea views makes it a must-visit destination. Whether you're a history buff, architecture enthusiast, or simply looking for a beautiful place to explore, Beylerbeyi Palace will not disappoint. Highly recommended!

A very historic and glorious place. I advise you to ask for the automatic hearing aid (the receptionist can set it to any language preference) No photography is allowed inside For the best experience, get with you the normal earphones so you can plug it in the hearing aid which they provide so you don’t stay all the tour holding the hearing aid with your hand to your ear.

Beylerbeyi Palace is a summer palace of Turkey Ottoman Empire. Before entering the palace building, visitors are required to coat their footwear with plastic so as not to pollute the floor. Unfortunately, visitors are not permitted to take photos during the palace tour. Although this palace is not too big compared to other palaces, it has a beautiful interior and is quite luxurious. There's a beautiful park around this palace which will be very beautiful to be seen in the spring.

It is so pretty! Entrance is with a fee but we had our Muze card so we did not have to pay. There is a cafe inside. If you have time would advise you to have a cup of coffee or tea. They do not allow you take photos inside. :( They do have a tour guide recording device that has multiple language options... Would advise everyone to go check out this spectacular place... :)

One of the most beautiful, well-known and well decorated palaces of Istanbul. The interior design is so amazing and eye catching. It has some similarities in architectural design with Dolmabahce Palace. Outside of the palace you can find a cafe and restaurant in the open space of the garden.

It is an amazing landmark full of beautiful and breathtaking architecture and interior elements. It is an landmark worth visiting. Beylerbeyi Palace was commissioned by Sultan Abdülaziz (1830–1876) and built between 1861 and 1865 as a summer residence and a place to entertain visiting heads of state. Empress Eugénie of France visited Beylerbeyi on her way to the opening of the Suez Canal in 1869. Empress Eugénie of France was so delighted by the elegance of the palace that she had a copy of the window in the guest room made for her bedroom in Tuileries Palace, in Paris. Naser al-Din Shah Qajar of Iran stayed in the palace while he was in Istanbul, back on his way from Exposition Universelle (1889) of France. Other regal visitors to the palace included the Duke and Duchess of Windsor. The palace was the last place of captivity of the deposed sultan Abdulhamid II from 1912 until his death there in 1918.

Summer residence of Turkish sultans, much less popular than Dolmabahce Palace. The interiors are very similar to Dolmabahce, only the palace itself is much smaller. Even the manufacturers of chandeliers and furniture are the same. I was very surprised by the fountain inside one of the halls. There is a very quiet and cozy courtyard around the palace. From which an excellent view of the bridge opens. An audio guide is included in the ticket price.

Wonderful palace representing the type of luxurious modern architecture implemented during the late period of the Ottoman Empire. It has a spacious garden with a cafe restaurant. There is also a beautiful corniche attached with marvellous views on the Bosphorus.

One of the stops on the Hop-on-Hop-off tour, on the Asian side. Historical site that is interesting to visit if you are on that side already or looking are looking for a reason to go, but not worth going out of your way. The tickets are 90TL for foreigners (locals get it for 40TL) and that is for an audio guide as well which will be essential.

The garden is beautiful and relaxing with nice view. It cost 5 TL to see the garden. The palace will be closed for 2 years for renovation. You can buy cay, coffee, dessert and sit outside. Clean bathrooms and a very small gift shop.

I recommend going alone and not with tour guides. they won’t let you take your time . They give you a remote like device that tells you what every room is and it’s history it comes in various languages.I love the way they narrate what every room is for. I prefer it over listening to a tour guide talking because you can repeat it .

A beautiful palace of the Ottoman Empire. I recommend you to buy an audio phone at the entrance which explains every room of the palace. I would love to go back in time and live in this palace. It is also said that even Atatürk spent a night here.

Beautiful little palace with great furnishings. A recorder tour is part of the entry fee, which is about 40 lire per person.Nice little cafe is on the grounds where you can enjoy the gardens then you can slip into the palace and take in all the furnishings and decor. Not a must see given Istanbul's plethora of historical sites, but very nice little gem depicting the lives of Sultans

(Translated by Google) # Beylerbeyi Sarayı Palace - Uskudar region of the Asian section # ? Very beautiful palace directly overlooking the Bosphorus Strait in the Escudar region located in the Asian section and is one of the most famous palaces in Istanbul. As a personal opinion, this palace, in addition to Dolmah Palace, is a delight in the European side of the most beautiful Ottoman palaces in Istanbul. The palace was built according to the request of Sultan Abdul Aziz about 150 years ago and was built with the aim of using it as a summer residence for the Ottoman Sultans and a guest house for the heads and guests of foreign countries. ق The palace is made up of 3 floors, one of them is lower and has an area of about 3,000 square meters, including palaces and wings attached to it externally in the palace gardens. There are 6 halls in the palace, 24 rooms and two bathrooms, one for men and the other for women. The building of the palace is a mixture of eastern styles internally and westerns externally and carries specifications for building Turkish homes with its separate parts for men and women. There is a section for men (salmak) and a section for women (Al-Haramlik), and what distinguishes the palace is the main reception hall that contains a large fountain and a large chandelier of the famous bohemian crystal, as well as walls and ceilings decorated with drawings, engravings and eastern and western decorations in addition to the red carpets that decorate most of the palace floors. The halls, living rooms, curtains, chairs and tables are varied and of various shapes and decorations throughout the palace. Also, the palace's accessories vary between wonderful side lights, art and wall paintings, decorative mirrors, and many archaeological vases that were brought in from different countries of the world. ? The palace is built within a large and beautiful garden directly overlooking the Bosphorus Strait as it is most of the Ottoman palaces and this garden contains additional wings such as the harem palace and a building in the garden was used for the sultan's horses and a tunnel attached to the main palace that reaches the outdoor garden. The museum is worth every lira you pay for the ticket and it’s a must-see for every tourist – on par with or even better than Dolmabahce or Topkapi palaces. The Upper Gardens and both Sea Kiosks were closed for restoration works, and the gift shop disappointed, but the overall impression was very good.

Enjoyed exploring the palace. Don't forget the get an audio guide when entering. Commonly mentioned that it is a more modest place compared to other palaces, still worth seeing and making a trip our of it and have lunch at the nearby restaurants after.

A stunning historical point located in Uskudar, Istanbul. Beylerbeyi Palace is one of the palaces in Istanbul, facing the Bosphorus from the Asian side. The current Palace was built upon the orders of Sultan Abdulaziz between 1863 - 1865, however, the original wooden palace was built between 1808 - 1839 by Sultan Mahmoud II. The palace visit takes between 1 - 1.5 hours, photo shooting is not allowed inside the main building, but allowed in the gardens and the open areas. The easies way to reach Beylerbeyi from the old town, is through the ferry from Eminonu or other ports, directly to Uskudar, and then by either public bus or taxi.

One of the beautiful palaces in Istanbul. To me, the best! :) They give audio service for free at the beginning, better to have it to understand the history behind this wonderful place. Also, there is a cafe at the garden to get rest and enjoy the view.

Amazingly beautiful!!!! The front was being renovated so we had to enter from the back. They make you wear shoe protection so u wont damage the inside. Tickets are not that expensive. Also there was not a lot of people in line. Its beautiful and worth the visit! (Also there is parking next to the mansion. Very easy in and out.

This was the summer palace of Ottoman Sultans. It is located in Üsküdar, along the Bosporus. As photography is not allowed inside the museum, this post will not unfortunately include any photos. Ceilings and crystal chandeliers of each room, were the most beautiful ornaments that I had seen until then. The palace garden is big, green, surrounded with high orchid trees. There is a small cafeteria with hot and cold drinks, as well as salads, toasts and pastries. Beylerbeyi Palace should be on top of any places to see list of İstanbul.

Well organised , not crowded. Ticket price is reasonable. The furniture is well preserved.Unfortunately taking photos inside is not allowed and large part of the garden is closed for visitors. Having a drink and or a snack at the cafeterias there is very relaxing. I enjoyed every minute there.

It is a perfect palace. They provide you with an audio tour guide device that welcomes you at the entrance and you enter the palace as a group. You can see the palace life and ranks of the last periods of the Ottoman Empire in a beautiful way.A palace you must go to.

The curator did well to reflect the style of living of the Sultan. The palace is very ostentatious, where every room filled with such grandeur had its purpose. There is also an interesting juxtaposition of the old and the new as the Bosphorous Bridge passes over the Palace. This museum is worth the visit

A modest servant's door lets you into the grounds of a palace second only to Dolmabahçe in scale. Shall the interiors are free of crowds, the decoration will delight lovers of late-Ottoman flamboyance.

Pazartesi gunleri kapali, muze kart geciyor. Icinde fotograf cekmek yasak, gizlice cektim.

The most beautiful park and museum I've seen and it's right beside the sea, it's very clean and taken care of, the museum or the palace is also very beautiful inside and out, the only thing that bothered me a little was the security guards watching people inside the museum and not letting them touch anything or take photographs but I guess that's for taking care of the beautiful palace.

Not much written information, if you are interested in the history you can hire audio guide. The rooms are vast and beautifully decorated. Security is tight so no chance of taking photos inside at all. Photo opportunities include the outside of the palace, the gate that opens to the seaview, and the seaview in general with the bridge in the background. Also had a small patch of bamboo in the garden which was random. Museumpass not accepted.

The positioning of this palace is what gives you the bumps (on the shore of Bosporus, under the 2nd bridge). It is not as impressive and rich as Peleș palace in Romania (for example). I reccomand visiting early in the morning, because if the parking lot reaches the full capacity than you have a big problem.

A must to see!!! The Beylerbeyi Palace, located at the Asian side of the Bosphorus, is an Imperial Ottoman summer residence built between 1861 and 1865. It was the last place where Sultan Abdulhamid II was under house arrest before his death in 1918. It provides magnificent views over the strait, the bridge and both the Asian and European coasts. Spot 1 h to explore and enjoy the beauty of the palace. Unfortunately, taking photos is not allowed inside the building. Highly recommended!!!

I enjoyed my time being in this place, the nice thing is you can buy the ticket to visit the park only in case you don't want to visit the palace! The view from the park is perfect! The only thing I didn't like is you can't take any picture inside the palace which is very weird because the internet is full of photos and videos of that palace!! But overall it's highly recommended 👌

Interesting. It was a cold day and just as cold inside. No photos allowed inside. Not worth a special trip but if you're nearby.
