Friendly staff, cozy atmosphere and very good borsch and hinkali

We were out exploring the neighbourhood and stopped in to Bay Manti & Cafe on a whim. It was such a great decision. It’s such a lovely little place with just a couple of tables inside and a couple more on the pavement outside. We had the Anatolian Manti with garlic & yoghurt sauce and the potato salad with special mustard dressing. I think the Manti was one of the best things we ate in Istanbul, it was absolutely delicious. There are 6 or 7 Manti from different regions available and our only regret is that we didn’t try more. Maybe that’s something for next time. We didn’t have dessert but we finished our meal with a Kurdish coffee called menengiç. If you haven’t heard of it then it’s worth a try. It’s prepared the same way as Turkish coffee but is caffeine free and sweeter/milder in flavour.

Cute, cozy interior and amazing food! Everything was well flavoured and prepared with care! The chef (and probably owner) was really friendly. I loved that they have specials and seasonal dishes. Also it’s a plastic free place :)) I will visit again. Highly recommended!
