This hotel is very dated, Service is none existing, the carpet is grossly dirty, windows are dirty some double pane windows have condensations and are obscured. For such an old worn out place breakfast was decent. Th concierge deck is more of a tourist trap and tries to sell you services for multiple normal price. Be aware!

I wish I could give rating in negative cause this place doesn’t even deserve one star!! Worst hotel experience one can have. The staffs are so rude and racist, especially the front desk. We aren’t staying there for free and we do not deserve to be treated badly. All I can say is their staff lack basic etiquette and customer service skills. They need to be trained again. Only the concierge desk staff were good to say at the least. I’m so infuriated by their treatment and wouldn’t recommend anyone this hotel.

One of the worst services at this hotel , I have stayed here for 2 days with my family, clearly there is no customer service in this hotel, basically they don’t really care , I had to call like 3-4 times for any service , most shocking is house keeping performance is zero , we ordered food for dinner and house keeping left outside door for more than 10 hours , I called but no one came to pick up food so I went down to front desk and asked them to send somebody. Total very very bad experience. English speaking staff is also a big issue , food taste was very pathetic so we avoided breakfast as well completely.

Hello I stayed in this hotel 2 days ago. It was a really amazing hotel and they cleaned the room every day / the staff was very friendly and polite. It had the most delicious breakfasts / Easy access to Taksim Square and market / Free transfer to Taksim Square all day long. Thanks to the best person in the hotel who always helped me in the best way and gave me the best tips. Thanks to Ms. Yelda guest relation hotel.

The Hotel is close to the M2 metro station (~7 minutes up a hill), the area around is nice with many restaurants but the hotel's street itself is in an industrial area with many car repair shops. The rooms are clean and spacious, but our triple room had one extra bed and two twin beds rather than three twin beds which is a downside for a 5 star hotel. The bathroom is large though the door definitely needs painting. The breakfast is nice with a lot of food varieties and The service is very good.

It's the worst Crown Plaza I've ever been in. Even though check-in went smoothly and we upgraded our room to a three-bedroom, when we arrived, there were just two beds. They then added an additional bed, which I have included a picture l with this review. The bed was centuries-old, worthless, and extremely uncomfortable. The soap holder in the washroom was rusted. The drapes are completely ripped and give us the idea that we are at a one-star hotel. Even the sofa had spots on it, and I'm quite sure no one cleaned the rooms at all. I'm curious if the hotel has a manager or not. I have my doubts. Even the halls on the 11th level, where we were living, reeked of garbage cans. I will never stay at this motel again. Because of its location, I give it a one. Everything else about this hotel is a nightmare.

This hotel is a total mess! Worst experience ever … I got exposed to many inconveniences First: we booked on 12/9/21 and we arrived 2:00 am the next day after our reservation, however; our rooms were not ready! And the hotel charged us the full amount of the night. Second: on the second day of my stay I came back at 10:00 pm to find my room’s door open! It was left open for around 10 hours! Which led to the THEFT OF MY GOLD BRACELET! Third: On the second day as well a room service employee walked into my room while I was changing!!!!! Fourth: I came back to find my room totally unclean .. some employee even used my toilet and threw a woman’s pad in my toilet! Photos are attached. Fifth: In spite of informing the manager about all details .. no one helped us or tried to compensate our loss! He just kept saying I don’t know what to do! I don’t know what to say!

Good hotel overall. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the service is "good" by Turkish standards. The lowest point is the pricing of the food and the bar, which is crazy expensive compared to local prices.... US $25 for a meal and US $10 for a local beer (Oct 2022).

I'm so glad that I chose this hotel for my 5 days trip. The rooms are relatively large comparing to other istanbul hotels, beds were comfortable and all staffs were friendly. I should note that the walls are thin and noises of the streets can be heard through the windows. However, most guests sleep before 11 and it's not a busy neighbourhood at night so that won't be a problem for you

Nice hotel not on the nicest street but the location is good. You can get on the underground / subway right up the street maybe 300 meters. Some rooms don’t have showers make your you ask for it. They gave me a room with just a tub. The rooms are clean and updated. They do have a ok gym better than most hotels but they don’t turn the air on do it makes working out go quickly. They also don’t have drinking water at the gym. They make you buy water. The breakfast buffet was standard. The coffee was the worst. Kind of overpriced at 560 lira. ($20US)Didn’t even offer Turkish coffee.

We stayed five nights at this hotel. Everything was great! The receptionist quickly sorted out our check-in despite our late arrival after the midnight. The room was clean and tidy. The room service was great. The breakfast was superb. The staff were nice, helpful, and approachable. It's close to the Osmanbay metro station, but you have to walk up the hill. You can find a vibrating neighborhood full of bars and restaurant between the hotel and the metro station. The hotel is surrounded by garages which didn't any harm. They close early, and the street is yours! Further, you can't expect the view of lions and parrots when you stay at a hotel located in the middle of a huge city. This is the fourth time I stayed at a Crowne Plaza hotel for an important mission, and it never disappoints me.

While the location is prime, I found the rooms quite outdated and in need of a refresh. Additionally, communication was a challenge during my stay. The staff and concierge had noticeable difficulties with English, which was surprising given the hotel's tourist-centric location in Turkey, a major tourist destination. An improvement in language skills among the staff would greatly enhance the experience for international guests. The GYM is basic, and opens only at 8 AM, plus you have to pay for water. There is Uber readily available at the hotel, and without traffic, you should be able to get it from the airport in under 30 minutes.

The property is quite old, still trying to make sure they offer the best experience. The service is very good, hospitality is amazing with very less chance to complain. Breakfast options were ample with clean and well maintained sitting area. Location of the hotel is good, around 900 m from Taksim square, hotel offers free drop till the Square almost every hour. Rooms from looks are very old and need a lot of maintenance and renovation. Even elevators were being renovated. Washrooms were clean as well. From Crown Plaza standards it was a bit below expectations.

It was supposed to be a 5 stars hotel. But it's far from that. The carpet were dirty as well as the windows. The room was clean but old and degraded. Everything we touched, fall. The hotel need a major renovation. Breakfast was okay but the staff keep taking our plate even if we didn't finish eating. It was impossible to charge the room for smth from the bar. Baran from the reception was very helpful and kind. The only one from the staff who is competent. The spa section was good enough and the staff there was nice. The location is good not far from Taksim square.

Great hotel with dedicated staff to make your stay as nice as possible. Breakfast buffet is superb. Didnt use the pool, but it looks very enjoyable. Only downside is neighborhood. There is a nice affordable restaurant next to the hotel and a small store in the gas station next to it. But you really need to use a taxi to get in and out of the neighborhood because of steep streets and scrappy surroundings. I would stay again if needed.

I would like to thank Crowne plaza harpiye. Staff very friendly, helpful and smiling all the time and i wanna thank Mr. Hasan (F.O) , Ms. Melisa and Mr. Taha (Loppy) . It was very great to stay with the hotel.

I had a great stay in this hotel! Excellent service. Special thanks for Mr. Sezai for his kindness and professionalism. But my notice is about cleanness of the rooms it could be better, and A/C was a bit hot.

The rooms were nice and very clean. Their food was very good and the employees and management were very friendly and accommodating. There was one employee in particular that really made our stay special who's name is Cihat. He introduced himself to us by asking is everything okay and how he could help to make sure that we were happy with our stay at their Crowne Plaza. He seemed very honest and sincere so we booked an evening dinner cruise that was absolutely fantastic. Directly from the hotel they brought us to and from the Dinner Cruise. Cihat and the friendly staff is the main reason I gave my stay at the Crowne Plaza-Harbiye 5 stars.

Great place and very good breakfast. Wish most of the staff would speak some English.

The hotel is located in an ideal location and the staff is hospitable especially Yelda at Guest Relations and Abdullah at the front desk. The breakfast was nice but the rooms can have an overall makeover to improve quality. The place is overall nice and recommended but the only drawback is the concierge who is a man with arrogance and rude behaviours and the services offered are not guaranteed with a high risk of monetary loss as he lacks commitment.

I will take the time to write the review about crown plaza , staff at first are extremely kind and professional. Room sizes are decent, upgrades are given according to availability. Hot water pressure are really good in bathroom. Breakfast have good variety and high quality. Location is good but its a hike up to metro, to solve this they have a shuttle bus to Taksim everyhour. My birthday was during my stay , I came back to my room to find a nice note and a cake ❤️ , heart warming gesture Yelda bikhas always checks on guests and make sure everything is smooth Would come back for sure

It is not at all a 5 stars, I would say more in 4 poor. The breakfast included was very large but not to my taste. Serious the fact that in the hotel there is no doctor, nor a thermometer available to guests. Nobody in reception speaks decent English, which is quite serious because we have not been told anything about the room, the location was good, the room clean and the beds were comfortable.

Currently staying here, wouldn't recommend. It's wellness facilities are basic, small and uninviting, pool is unavailable and cleanliness in rooms needs improvement. I asked for the fitness room to be open for half an hour longer in the evening so that we could use it after our seminars, but unfortunately, the hotel was not accommodating. Moreover, the walls between the rooms are very thin and you can hear everything. Breakfast is rather basic. I am curios to know how this hotel acquired five stars. Staff is generally friendly though.

Great hotel. If it would've been a few blocks up the hill, it would've been in the heart of things. Instead it is surrounded by car repair shops on a hill. But breakfast was great. Staff exceptional, especially the concierge guy and the woman who walks around making sure everyone is happy. Both very professional and helpful.

We stayed for 3 night. The overall experience was very disappointing. Mostly there was no hot water in the tapas. The card key system was very unreliable. It would require several attempts for one of them to work if you are lucky. Otherwise you will need to call home keeping to open your room for you. The surroundings of the hotel was also pretty bad. From the name we guessed ther would be an harbour nearby but we didn't see any. Overall: I will never choose this hotel again.

Pro: 1) Somewhat reasonably located Con: 1) Unacceptable breakfast spread - no chicken based hot dish, only beef. Almost similar menu daily. 2) Congested elevator traffic - DO NOT ever go to spa level (-4 level) during busy breakfast times, as elevators appear to be programmed/prioritized to go up only from Lobby level. I was stuck waiting for elevator for an hour+. Worst thing is no staircase or other means of going up. 3) Ridiculous swim cap required for men (even bald head) to use swimming pool. Same with gym - only exercise attire is allowed (regular short pant with shirt are not allowed) 4) Staff at health club, reception and breakfast restaurant (the only ones I encountered) have somewhat underwhelming service attitude 5) Room furnishing is dated with clogged tub shower (extremely slow drain) Being a Diamond member, this is not up to other international Crowne Plaza or other IHG location standard. Disappointed.

Our stay was so bad no word can express it. They gave us a room with 2 single beds beside each other instead of the queen bed we had reserved. Although the room was clean, the fridge had nothing in it. The reception declined getting a taxi for us and said get yourself outside. The breakfast was extremely underwhelming for a hotel of this status. The hotel is situated in a very gloomy street where taxis don't even come up to completely for us to get it ourselves.

Everyone giving this hotel negative feedback and stars has shocked me. The double room is extremely large with a modern bathroom. The room service (which was used 3/ 4 times ) was incredible. My favourite was the spaghetti bolognaise! I’ve never had a spaghetti bowl like this! The prices for room service and food in the hotel was way more affordable than I thought! Hotel staff was very kind and approachable. The cleaning staff were the sweetest and done a terrific job when cleaning my room. If I come back to Istanbul I will 100% come back here! I’ve stayed in a crowne plaza before in the uk and the Istanbul one was far more amazing! Only thing I would critique on is the walls are very thin and every night I was disturbed but the neighbours in the next room. This is NOT the hotels fault or the staffs fault.

A nice comfortable property In my opinion it’s a 4* property and not 5* as the facilities are not at par for a 5* The rooms are comfortable and staff is courteous and they try to help the guest in all ways. However the 24 hr dining option was missing The breakfast spread has to be larger to cater to the needs of various guests, when we visited they had a group of 30 Indians who were purely veg. A fact which was pre informed and yet they did not make any effort to help with the breakfast at all

I've stayed there for 4 nights with my mom and I can assure you if you want a calm and satisfying area choose this place ! The hotel has a huge lobby where you can sit for hours and wait for your transfer ( if you travel with tour), the rooms are way bigger than what I expected. Super clean and facilitated.( every morning the room service got changed and got perfectly arranged. ) I ordered a pizza from the restaurant next door the hotel and it was fantastic. The breakfast was super complete and designed as well. In case you have some sort of issues with climbing the streets to reach the stations you may avoid the place but other features where all nice.

Nice rooms, air conditioning was incredible. Staff not speaking English will always remain the biggest deviation from high rating. Location not so great, industrial area on an uphill road.

A lying hotel that when I showed up said with my reservation was canceled on the grounds that I did not guarantee with the card and that anyway you only have one room available but at a much higher price, although the reservation has been confirmed without warranty. While explaining this to them in the hotel reception, I received by email the cancellation of the reservation due to non-presentation which was totally false. It wasn't right on their part, especially since it was very late and I was very tired after 10 hours of driving. I hope to be able to review them according to their behavior.

The 8 of us had a great experience at this hotel on our visit to Istanbul. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with every room having it's own fridge. The staff were very friendly and helpful and upgraded some of us to bigger rooms on our visit. We stayed in room 2215 and our close friends stayed in room 2214 and loved both the size and the lighting. The rest of the group had standard rooms on the same floor, which made things very convenient. Breakfast was excellent and room service was exceptional. I would like to give special thanks to both Hasan Aksu and Yalda Bikhas who need be praised for their excellent customer service and professionalism that became one of the highlights of our stay. IHG and Crowne Plaza should be proud of them and should use them has prime examples for their staff. Thank you for making our stay easy and stress free.

It's an old property with dark rooms when no sun, awkward industrial location and many staff are untrained or in-hospitable. Saving grace is very professional front office, especially Ms Yelda, and breakfast spread. Avoid unless a super low Deal price available. There's a nice bus drop off to Taksim several times a day saving the walk to Metro station, which is a tough hike.

Best Place to Stay in Istanbul. Lovely Staff, Amazing Spa, Suana and Swimming Pool. Soothing Ambience. Morning Buffet is One of the Best Experience. Tasty food and Fresh Served.

I stayed here for 6 nights, and it was my home for my first visit in Istanbul. They staff is friendly, and there are many facilities in the hotel. Yes, I didn't use them because I was busy exploring the city, but it was great to have them, like the gym, indoor pool, sauna, steam room and even a massage if you want some pampering. The breakfast is okay, not over the mood, but will do. There is also a restaurant on the ground floor if you wanted to grab a bit and are too tired from going somewhere with all the walking you did in the city. There is something weird though, the AC used to get turned off in the middle of the night, so I get hot and I had to turn it on too. The bathroom had some fixing issues too. Overall, it's a nice hotel, they provide daily free shuttle bus to Taksim square, even though I never used it. It's also 10 minutes walk to the nearest metro station, where you have to walk uphill. Gotta get your cardio in place with incline walk-in before coming here 😂 It's also relatively easy to get a taxi from this spot if you Don’t feel like walking to taking the metro.

Level of service quite low. We have spent 3 nights and we had to call (and recall) in the late afternoon to make tide up the room. Level of cleaning in general low, courtesy of the personnel to improve. Far away by crown plaza standards. We won’t come back.

This hotel did not worth the money, I think it was the dirtiest hotel i ever been, carpet so dirty. Shower water was or cold or boiling. Some rooms had spectacular view and some infront of a wall, breakfast was so poor cold food/eggs, very bad coffee. Receptions were polite mostly and meeting room was good. Getting taxi was difficult from this place.

Thee hotel needs maintenence and the room lacks cleanliness. One of things which annoyed was the inbuilt spray which wasnt working as required. The hotel staff is responsive to request. They follow the covid protocols at the breakfast area which is very important. Location wise the hotel is fine, 15-20 min walk away from taxim square. The hotel has a shuttle every hour to taxim between 1030am to 430pm.

Rooms: The room I stayed in was good, clean, and everything required by us was accommodated for. Service: The staff at the hotel were one of the nicest people I have met in Turkey. I would even like to name a couple and describe others since some of the names escape me right now: There was Ali at the door, he was always nice, helpful, and served to our needs with a smile. There’s another gentleman at the door as well, his name I do not know but he was really great as well, very nice and helpful. Another younger gentleman at the reception desk with long hair and glasses, he was extremely nice, helpful and polite. And lastly, the manager Yelda. The lady was very professional, attentive, and very gracious in my interactions with her. For me, the people I interact with are the sum of my journey to any location, and the people at this hotel definitely made my stay memorable. the location: It’s good since it is close and central to everything but never actually in anything, but personally like it that way. The not-so-good is that it is in what I presume an automotive service area. I did not care that much since whether it was this hotel or another, I would use it to sleep and have my breakfast and then explore the city.
