However do not expect a "clinic/hospital", the Milano Klinik is more an office. The surgery itself is in a public hospital in Istanbul. I would recommend a translation app on your phone as the language can be a problem at times. Dr. Murat Gürel put me at ease and was very careful before surgery. After surgery he checked up on me in hospital. I had 2 overnight stays in the hospital. The nurses were nice, but I felt very lonely. After hospital I went to the Hotel and the hard time started. I was left alone, nobody asked how you doing neither checked on you. The 24/7 nurse assistant didn't really work for me. Whatsapp messages left unanswered at least 2h which is not professional especially when you in fear/ pain. Thankfully I met someone in the Hotel who went through the same. I would highly recommend to travel in company as you need a helping hand in the Hotel. 5 days post op I met Dr. Murat Gürel again. He gave me the best possible care, all possible information and advice. I can honestly say he has such a great bed side manner, a real gentleman! Top class surgeon who practices with care and compassion. Taken all together I was very happy with the surgery and Dr. Murat, but disappointed with the nurse support.
