One of the worst experiences I have ever encountered in my life, improvements need to be made to this establishment, for its survival. Majority of negative reviews state that the customer service is poor and this is due to poor management. Whoever manages this establishment is lousy & is only concerned about profits. One issue I had is the customer service number attached to the facility doesn’t work or it’s sometimes switched off. Another issue is the hot food counter was not only missing some dishes but looked messy. It would be helpful to create a website where customers could order what they want and have it delivered or come to the restaurant to pick up. If that can’t be done, you place a menu board indicating various dishes available with costs attached. Additionally, I asked the lady in charge of collecting payment & she said that delivery isn’t available, in this day and age such businesses should offer delivery services, this would reduce the crowd in the restaurant and help stop the spread of COVID-19 disease. Also, customers who order food in the restaurant are given a number and are to look at the front board/screen for that number, indicating when the food is ready but in my case as well as many others our number didn’t appear on the board & we had to wait for some minutes or hours & when it wasn’t shown, we walked up with our numbers and were given our food. So what is the point of having the board if it won’t display customers numbers when there food is ready?, if it is faulty, why not get it fixed so customers don’t have to wait hours, thinking their number will appear. Furthermore, I ordered chicken shawarma with cheese & small pepper, grilled chicken and moi-moi. Not only was my shawarma slightly burnt, it also tasted awful, like it was about to go bad, it seems like it was pre-made & popped into the microwave then served, the moi-moi wasn’t bad but had bone in it, the only food I enjoyed was the grilled chicken. The only good thing this establishment seems to be doing well is obeying COVID-19 protocols, all customers and employees were expected to social distance and wear face masks. With all that’s been stated, I won’t be revisiting, until improvements are made & failure to read through negative reviews and make the necessary improvements could result in the downfall of this business in the near future. They serve the best shawarma in the city of Abuja but their customer service is trash. The sales girls are rude. I was actually told that there wasn’t parking space in the premise but the car behind me got a spot. Anyways, since I love their shawarma, I have resigned myself to fate.

If you love Shawarma and you want the best , this place is definitely for you. They have the Best shawarma you can ever think of. Even though I would not have had it in years, it's the first shawarma spot that comes to my mind. It comes in sizes (small, medium and large) and varieties too (sausage, chicken, chicken and sausage), And even spices too (garlic and pepper ), And cheese too. I haven't tried their other meals but I would sometime. I can not say their meals are ok. They do not look as good as I would want to eat them.

The call service is okay but if you don't show up in time for your order or you miss their cal you'd have to reorder your sharwama. Located in lingu crescent opposite House of Freeda plaza adjacent Urban loft cafe and bar

I've got to say this is one of the best Shawarma Spots in Abuja Undisputed. Best part is you can order and have it delivered ,I don't know which is faster however ordering online or walking on to order directly but I know its worth the wait irrespective. It's nice, it's juicy ,it's made to suit your taste I like how you can have extra garlic extra pepper and all cause I love garlic and spice so it's just perfect. Definitely one of my top 5 Shawarma spots here in Abuja that is Affordable. Emphasis on the Affordable and worth it! The Shawarma is also feeling so you can eat it as a meal nit just a snack. I haven't really tried any other thing here so I can't say anything about the other things they sell.

Personally, I still believe they have the best shawarma and my favourite is the one with garlic and plenty pepper. Though, the size has reduced but it's understandable considering the inflation of everything. The atmosphere is cozy, the food is tasty and very affordable too I'll recommend Chicken Capitol any day any time.

The sharwama made sense just that it took time before I got mine because of so many orders. The atmosphere was just there. The service was good as well.

Chicken Capitol is a fast food joint where one of the nicest shawarma is made. It has a sit out spot where you can sit and enjoy the cool breeze of nature while waiting for your order.

Their shawarma was an absolute delight. I enjoyed every bite. The waiting time wasn't so much, the environment was neat and they adhere to COVID-19 protocols. Ambience was also superb. I would gladly recommend them.

Abuja's legacy shawarma spot. They have been there for the ages. Good place to try if you are a shawarma lover. Also sell affordable takeout meals.

I'm giving this restaurant 5 stars for their toilet. On the toilet wall is a notice that advises users to use the disinfectant provided to sanitise the toilet seat before sitting on it. Now that is impressive. I have been to many places, and this is a first for me. They even have an hourly toilet roster to ensure that the toilet is clean. Their staff inspect the toilet hourly and sign the roster. It's right there behind the door. There was a roll of tissue, the disinfectant spray, and a hand-wash. Outside, the toilet was a hand dryer and serviettes to dry your hands. Everything was very thoughtful and impressive for a small Nigerian fast food spot. Kudos.

It’s a fast food in wuse 2. They have about 2 more branches in Abuja. Rumor has it that they serve one of the best shawarma in Abuja. I’ve had their shawarma several times and that rumor seems legit. Their price is friendly and you can find a meal there for as low as 300 Naira. Don’t mind me in all the pics. That’s the most peaceful way to get a good pic of some spots in Abuja.

Customer service/care is very repulsive. The girls work like they’re forced to especially the Cashier- Maryam. Shawarma is great but shouldn’t be an excuse to put up an attitude

Very terrible service from attendants. I Visited your office at wuse yesterday being 27th Nov 2023, and the fair chubby lady infront saw me and for a reason I can’t fathom started giving attitude. As I shrugged it off and told her I wanted medium sized pizza she said is 7k and I asked her to add a yoghurt and spirit and she kept ignoring me. And each time she turn. She’d ask me again and again what I want and I would repeat it. Her colleagues ended up asking her what’s the issue as they also joined me in repeating my order for more than four times and she kept hissing and turning away. At the end, I left with my client to another restaurant. I hope you had a cctv to see how much damage that woman does to your business.

There's a queue at the counter before placing your order asides from that it's generally a good place to get some quick food.

I like the serenity of the environment☺️ and their use of technology to make the life of the customer easy as well as theirs. I also like how fast it is to get what you ordered. I got shawarma and it's undoubtedly one of the best I've had in a while.

Chicken Capitol is really a good place to exercise your mouth with their sumptuous meal especially the shawarma. When it comes to dining-in at a restaurant we all want the best service that I can assure you will get at Chicken Capitol, and their cleanliness, nice waitresses, good food, and affordable prices.

Of recent a visit to the restaurant Saw a decline in patronage partly due to the high handedness of the owner who most a times have zero regards to customers. Staff are deligent but the activity of the owner I believe will scare customer away in the near future. I think he need to learn lessons from the collapse of Drumsticks and Mr. Biggs.

My best plug for shawarma. Personally, I like the medium sized combo (chicken and sausage) with cheese, small pepper without garlic. The staff are extremely friendly, they open the doors for you and guide you while parking in their spacious parking lot, however, the inside may easily get crowded sometimes because lots of customers also like their food They are orderly! Separate lines for ordering and retrieval First come first serve, you wait for your number to appear on the screen and then you simply collect your order. You can transfer, use POS or pay with cash

Used to be the Best shawarma plug in abuja, but now I can't say same. The staffs are rude and uncouth and I blame the management for this. Take shawarma out of the menu and nobody would visit chicken capitol anymore 👎🏽

Chicken Capitol still gives us very good shawarma but it used to be excellent shawarma. They no longer pay attention to details on customers orders as they used to e.g; Order for small pepper and get plenty pepper Order for small garlic and get plenty garlic These little details gave them an edge over the competition in the past but the edge is beginning to narrow.

  • 3/5 mohammed m. 2 years ago on Google
The shawarma is nice however the staff attitude to customers and also the time management needs to be reviewed.. however the maangement are quite responsive to criticism as they listen when your complain and have a complaint number there posted. However because Nigerians dont complain generally and just accept service as they see it doubt if they are much aware of the staff shortcomings..

Great shawarma but it was eaten jn anger after waiting on an uncoordinated queue for over 2hrs I can’t actually remember what it tastes like because of all the stress involved in getting it. I had a chicken shawarma with cheese, it tasted good but i really think they realllly need to work on their customer service, crowd control and delivery time

  • 5/5 Chika E. 2 years ago on Google
I accompanied a friend to get some shawarma here. I love that upon entry, there’s a lot of organization. Parking is very arranged but might require patience if the parking lot is filled to capacity. Use of masks are still mandatory here and the security men continuously make sanitizers available for customers to use while entering and exiting. I recommend calling ahead to order so there’s less waiting time during pickup but if you’re buying shawarma in person, there’s likely to be (moving) queue. Social distancing is also implemented so it’s best you comply. On a good day, you’ll get your order 15-20 after you get a ticket.

  • 4/5 Zainab H. 2 years ago on Google
The Shawarma tastes great. But they need to get more than one phone line for orders. I kept trying the line for close to 30 minutes and it was clogged perhaps because a lot of people were calling at the same time.

  • 3/5 peter m. 1 year ago on Google
The sharwama is great, The customer care for booking is very bad. You have to call many times as possible, before they answer, or lines are switched off. Especially wuse 2. Improvement is needed in that aspect.

Found out they open 11am on Saturdays. Their shawarma is very delicious. Price has gone up slightly but tastes even better than the last time I ate it.They sell other meals like plantain rice and chicken. They are orderly & maintain social distancing. They also enforce facemask & hand sanitizer rules.

Nice shawarma but all staff I've met there are very rude. Don't go there if you are already upset or easily upset. Every worker I've met there is rude. One day the gate man even insulted me and my girlfriend and refused to open the gate for us.

Was a bit disappointed at the shawarma today, the standard has really dropped. I use to be a die hard fan, feels like they've lost me & my family as customers. The staff also have a very bad attitude. They really need to look into it. The complains are becoming alarming.

  • 4/5 Odxra 1 year ago on Google
Arguably the best shawarma spot in Wuse 2. When POS works, the service is good. However, just go with cash otherwise you'll be filling out paper forms like in the early 2000s for bank transfers!

While it's tentative that I rate Chicken Capitol with a slightly above average rating, I must bring out certain things which any reader must note: Firstly, there are several Chicken Capitols spread across the city and suburbs of Abuja. So my experiences stem from my more than occasional visits to the one on Lingu crescent. Secondly, I cannot account for staff change especially Chef turn over hence cannot necessarily say much for periods when the Chef(s) get the recipe right or had a learning curve to battle with. That being said, I believe that my rating is based on the whole experience and not a section of their services. So, concisely, when you arrive Lingu crescent's resident Chicken Capitol, the Lego like miniature parking space begs the imagination to wonder what the place would look like during a festive/holiday period. I'm pretty sure that aw customers would be forced to park not just outside the premises but some may have to walk a bit to get their orders. Imaging walking to the joint on a grumbling tummy, your imagination playing up juicy and savoury images for the sauces and fillings you are about to eat and having to order out. Another walk to the car is the extented punishment you must endure! Then there's the small waiting rooms for customers waiting for their orders to be clocked in on the order TV screens. Imagine a family of four or more looking to sit in while on one of their busy days. You'd definitely think that the lack of seating furniture is a punishment bourne of inefficiency. Or isn't it? The other thing to note is the musty/stuff atmosphere in the alternative waiting lounge which feels like a vampire's haven. While a directional sinage would make it obvious that you can find the alternative or extension lounge, it would be easier if the lighting were more... let's say, inviting. Well, the architectural failing of the building is not something anyone can do much about except you plan on extensive restructuring. Having said so much already, I feel that Chicken Capitol has a lot going for it. While there are a whole lot of smaller pound for pound Sharwarma joints out there, may few can match the consistency and resilience of a business reasonably planned to face the rough terrain of running a business in Abuja let alone Nigeria. Kudos to them for we have kept coming again and again and we most probably still will in the foreseeable future. I hope you enjoyed my opinion and in no way takes away anything that others may think or experience.
