The
first
thing
you’ll
notice
about
this
hotel
is
that
while
it
looks
lavish,
high
ceilings,
great
public
areas;
it’s
a
maze.
The
hotel
design
is
a
U-shape
with
a
bunch
of
extra
other
corridors.
The
rooms
have
been
cluttered
onto
one
side,
while
the
amenities
are
all
over
the
place,
there
are
2
entrances
to
the
restaurant,
but
yet
they
close
off
one
in
the
morning,
and
close
off
the
other
during
morning
tea.
Our
room
was
quite
large,
we
stayed
in
the
‘deluxe
room’,
and
we
barely
heard
noise
from
the
other
rooms
so
sound
insulation
is
on
point.
The
carpet
was
quite
old
and
seemed
a
bit
run-down;
no
other
complaints
there.
The
room
had
a
nice
view,
a
little
French-balcony
and
the
bed
was
great.
In
this
hotel
expect
to
pay
for
anything
they
offer
you.
The
prices
are
extortion!
Coca
Cola
17
TL,
A
glass
of
whiskey
for
110
TL,
Orange
juice
costs
20
TL,
water
served
in
a
plastic
bottle
(not
even
glass)
also
costs
an
additional
6
TL
for
a
small
bottle.
You’d
think
at
a
hotel
where
‘water’
is
the
main
attraction,
drinking-water
would
be
free.
Drinking
water
is
only
served
free
at
the
restaurant’s
breakfast
and
dinner.
This
restaurant
for
some
amazing
reason
does
not
include
lunch,
they
have
a
‘morning-tea’
but
it
starts
4:15pm,
from
10am
–
4pm
you
obviously
get
hungry,
while
you’re
in
the
pool
you’ll
find
that
around
1
or
2pm,
they
begin
barbequing
SUCUK
&
KOFTE
and
making
it
smell
of
course
amazing!
Whilst
charging
you
a
ridiculous
40+
TL
for
a
sandwich.
Now
you
may
think
if
I
pay
a
premium,
I’ll
get
a
premium;
this
is
where
you
are
wrong.
On
the
first
day
the
food
at
dinner
was
absolutely
to
die
for,
the
pools
were
heated
and
were
great.
Mind
you
we
arrived
on
a
Friday.
As
soon
as
the
weekend
hit,
as
you
can
imagine
guests
started
arriving
and
well
the
water
temperature
of
course
did
drop,
towards
the
evening
when
there
were
less
kids
around
it
did
go
back
up
though.
The
food
was
subpar,
desserts
all
look
nice;
but
taste
the
same
(you
can
take
a
bite
of
3-4
different
cakes
and
won’t
be
able
to
tell
the
difference
in
flavour).
We
even
went
to
the
Ala
Carte
restaurant
(as
we
obviously
got
hungry)
and
ordered
a
ridiculously
overpriced
‘Beyti
Kebab’
which
they
had
named
in
some
other
way,
the
food
was
great
but
the
prices
were
extortion
once
again.
Overall
the
hotel
is
nice,
but
having
to
take
your
wallet
out
every
10
seconds,
or
sign
a
paper
saying
you’ll
pay
when
you’re
leaving
is
extremely
annoying
and
kills
the
5-star
experience.
Alcohol
is
way
overpriced
5-6x
which
is
most
probably
illegal.
Two
things
I
noticed
that
were
a
bit
shonky
were,
the
additional
food
&
beverages
that
you
‘sign’
for
don’t
have
a
price
written
down,
basically
they
have
you
sign
your
name
on
an
invoice
and
decide
to
write
the
price
on
it
later,
which
is
completely
illegal!
I
can’t
imagine
what
the
Turkish
‘maliye’
would
do
if
they
saw
this.
The
second
was
the
tax,
they’re
charging
8%
for
food
&
drinks,
when
the
rate
is
1%
so
I
will
be
asking
them
about
this
when
I
checkout
on
Monday.
3
stars
may
seem
harsh
but
when
you're
over
charging
by
4-5x,
when
you're
charging
AFTER
the
person
has
been
given
their
food
/
drink
or
ORANGE
that's
when
it
loses
another
star.
Originally
I
would
have
liked
to
give
4
stars
as
the
hotel
does
indeed
have
PROPER
heated
thermal
spas
and
pools
so
the
main
concept
is
there,
the
rooms
and
hallways
are
huge,
makes
it
feel
fresh
and
clean,
it
preserves
that
5-star
looks.
But
with
the
inability
to
provide
an
all-inclusive
package,
the
sneaking-around
charging
people
absolutely
anything
&
everything
and
the
over
charges
lead
to
my
3
star
decision.
