So many things happening here.... You have music, good food, entertainment galleries, shops that sell everything from clothes, nuts, perfumes, body care, gifts..etc. Take a good look at the historic buildings and know that PPL used to live here. It's a surreal moment being in that place.

Beautiful monument in old Jeddah

An amazing place full of history anx heritage. To visit absolutely even if you are in Jedda for a day or two. It is also a Unesco World Heritage site. Multiple restorations in the old city. The roads around are not necessarily open for traffic.

The place is fascinating rich in culture and history.

The country's region has changed a lot for the better Excellent facilities, arrangement, cleanliness, attention and organization

Not only is the old town worth seeing, there are an incredible number of places in this fascinating city...I would have liked to have spent more time here.

Come after 6pm to avoid the summer heat. Nice to walk around the entire old town.

Nice place, it shows the real historical place of Jeddah with real life acting, very simple, but you can enjoy a day visiting this place, at the end you can enjoy a nice meal in Old food court area. I recommend this place.

Bab jadid is in Jeddah's historic district and now hosting the Jeddah Season. The entry is free. You can walk around and enjoy the buildings of the past. Also you can enter some houses for free and some for a fee of 10sr. The houses have been preserved like they were earlier. You can see lots of items of daily use which were used 50yrs ago. There are lots of small kiosks selling various kinds of local foods. The only drawback is being a foreigner because there were no english speaking guides who could give us a tour.

Best historical place in Jeddah! Very rich and cultural. If this is your first visit to Jeddah, coming here is a MUST! 😍 Whether your visit is in the daylight or night, each time is so special! During summer time, you might want to bring a small fan with you and make sure you stay hydrated.

Very nice area to walk around, lots of beautiful old buildings

Historical site. Still under construction at certain parts but if you get a guided tour you'll learn alot. The houses really put up an amazing display during the yearly festical.

I am not sure if it is worth visiting Jeddah for this. If you are passing via Jeddah, i would recommend a visit to old town. Local people were friendly and very helpful. The old town needs more attention for the government and maintenance. It so sad that some beautiful building likes this are not maintained as one would expect. It seems there arre government projects underway to preserve the old building. I would recommend visiting the old houses. Google was not helpful sometimes when it comes to information about opening times. Some old houses were suppose to open for public according to Google but there were not and vice versa.

thanks for municipality of Jeddah each time i go there i can see the big effort to make the downtown and historical eara even better i enjoyed my visit to old Jeddah area specially visiting the house of sharbatly . the only thing I didn't like is the man there how asked me aggressively to give him money after my tour inside the house!

A very awesome and big place with a lot of things. I went to the Cullinan Café. It was very awesome. It had an amazing view and the coffee was amazing. I was very happy, but the atmosphere was a little dark. This was ruined, otherwise everything was perfect.

It's always good to know history. Specially with new people.

Historical area. Loved taking a stroll and seeing all the beautiful old buildings and antique shops still around after decades.
