So I love hi d ho. But tonight. I'm very disappointed. Jamal is they guy that answered the phone when confronted about the burger issue. Both car hopes left the lot while cars where waiting. Paid $40 in food. To get home to my dinner being like this. 1 or 2 burnt ok I understand. But all of the mushrooms, onions ? And when asked who the owner still was told them I would be contacting them with a picture. And got the go ahead and fine call them. I'm not one to wanting to get someone fired. But they definitely don't need to be working and ruining the good name of hi d ho

The lady working there was doing the best she could but the place was horrible. All the food was disgusting. This chilidog with 5 pounds of chili on it would have been a lot better had they given me a spoon or something to actually eat it with. And they were out of ice cream! Ok McDonald's

My group came here to eat some supper. Server was nice, we were super hungry and got a ton of food. I got a burger with Texas Toast and onion rings with cherry limeade. We all split taquitos too. Overall it satisfied our hunger.

Tried to stop in here around noon...not happening. Packed..!!! Came back around 1:00 or so...much better. Quickly waited on, short wait for one of the best damn hamburgers I have had in a while. Will go on my "Best Burger" list. Too bad we are in Ruidoso but bet your A$$ next time I come to Alamogordo I will be stopping here. Awesome burgers..Thank you...!!!

Stopped here for lunch after a morning of sledding down the dunes at White Sands National Park. I was very impressed with the food. The restaurant doesn't look all shiny and new, but the food is delicious. Our group had burgers, steak fingers, tacos, and chili dogs and they were all fabulous. Definitely a place to stop again next time we're in town!

Cute diner! You can sit at a table to place your order or stay in yoyr vehicle. The teeny Hamburger is still a good size burger as an FYI. Loved the food and atmosphere and the staff was great.

Stopped here on my way to Santa Fe. Burgers were excellent. Freshly prepared and the green hatch chilies and jalapenos added some great flavor. Would recommend over any chain restaurant in town if you are just passing through. Also if you're GF they're happy to make a burger salad and have a few other options.

I came with the hub and I got the red enchiladas with Carne and with an egg. I enjoyed my food I would come here again but the hub didn't really enjoy his flautas. He said they didn't have enough meat in them so he couldn't enjoy it as he usually does in other places but it's alright, next time. The employees were pretty nice too so that was a plus

I wasn't hungry but simply had to stop and try a burger. It was delicious and tastier than some of the other more "applauded" green chili burger spots. It was perfectly cooked and out together with just the right amount of zip from the chilis. I wish I hadn't opted for the "teeny" burger but alas... Also, do yourself a favor and grab a cherry limeade while you're at it. You can thank me later!

What a great local place with great fresh burgers. The fries and onions rings were very good also. The server was definitely overwhelmed, but the wait was worth it.

First time here so I had to try the green chile cheeseburger. It was delicious! Juicy and done just right, a real treat, with just the right amount of heat. The fries were good too - crispy outside, soft inside, and big enough so you knew you were eating real potatoes, not those sticks that some places have. Great atmosphere too, but I need to come back when it's warm out so we can sit at their tables and bask in the ambiance. Highly recommended.

Every single person that works here is absolutely kind, caring and helpful! Good food takes time and it’s definitely worth the wait. The burgers were cooked to perfection! If I could give 10 stars, I would! Did I mention how amazing the staff is!? This will definitely be our go to when visiting White Sands!!

The burgers and fries we had were exceptional; they put even the best fast food fare to shame. The service was excellent, as well. It's a little pricey if you're expecting nothing more than a quick bite, but it's absolutely worth it!

I've visited this drive in for the last ten plus years each time I visit Alamogordo, NM. I usually order the "Tiger Burger with fries or onion rings. Plus a pineapple shake. The quality of food has changed a bit but I wasn't disappointed completely. Maybe the quality of the food is different from the past visits due to the inflation were experiencing. But I will give them another try the next time I visit Alamogordo. I may have to try something different on their menu.

Service was good, the girl was really nice. Food is made to order so don't go if you're pressed for time cause it will take a while. Food was super bland zero flavor. Green Chile wasn't spicy. Freshness of the burger was nice but some salt would've been nicer. Fries were saltless as well. A little salt would make this place way better.

It was such a beautiful day to be there and sit outside and enjoy the day. Food took a bit to get there but the burger are handmade and the French fries extremely crispy and so good!!! Ended up ordering extra fries to go! Completely recommend for anybody passing by.

Stopped here to try it out when passing through, and it was all delicious. Great to be able to order and eat in our car (cold outside). The fries were amazing - my husband said they were some of the best fast food fries he's had. Burgers were also delicious and the kids devoured their chicken nugget kid meals. Great sign that it was tasty! Will definitely stop here if I'm ever back in town.

I’m went down to Gordo from Albuquerque for a work trip and I’ve always heard Hi-D-Ho is the place to stop in that particular town. I didn’t get a chance to stop by until I had finished for the day and that ended up being right during the evening rush. They were busy. I knew I’d be waiting for a good while but I also knew it would be worth it. I was not disappointed. Despite the rush the staff was awesome. I went back to my hotel and smashed that tiger burger and side of fries. It was the best burger I’d had in recent memory. The fries were perfectly done as well. I’ll be coming back on my way out of town. I think I’ll be perfectly capable of finishing off another tiger burger before the long drive back to ABQ, and I’ll definitely be getting bacon and green on it this time.

They tried to charge me 5 bucks extra. For some reason I decided to look at the menu prices again before they brought the food and bill so I knew they charged too much. The girl gave two excuses, one that the menu prices were wrong, two that she added 2 numbers wrong. There is outdoor seating here that is crawling with flies. I had enchiladas and a burger. The enchiladas were so bad I only ate one bite. The burger was decent.

I was in town for work and decided to stop here because the reviews said the restaurant had really good food. The food was definitely awesome. The hamburgers were a little burnt though. When I brought this to the attention of the restaurant they were really quick to offer me a new hamburger. I didn't take it because I'd already eaten over half my burger. The service here is a little slow, but the food makes up for the wait time.

Pros: The burgers are pretty good, the beef gets cooked rather well that leaves the edge of the Patty a little hard and adds texture. The seasoned fries are delicious and the spice they come with is great. The burger feels fresh, juicy and well grilled. Cons: The drink comes with too much ice. The wait is long and you need time to wait for them to pick your order and do it. Extra: Still with the cons this is a great place and it is totally worth the wait. If you pass thru Alamogordo you need to try it.

There is parking all around the establishment with tables and chairs outside. A car hop comes to your car and gives you a menu and takes your order. Very fast and courteous. The wait for the food ordered was acceptable. Have to give time for the cook to cook your burger and prepare it fresh. I would say this is the best Hamburger and fries I have ever had next to making them at home. Fresh and hot and huge to boot. Price was a little high but well worth it after tasting how good it was. Wasn't no fast food taste. It was back yard on the grill taste. Enjoyed it and will be going back repetitively.

Had a great meal here. Food was fresh. Burger was big. Chili cheese fries and fresh limeade will keep us coming back for more! Casual out door seating is pet friendly. Really nice people and fast service.

What a great experience. The only thing missing from the atmosphere was some 50’s music playing in the background. The food was delicious and it was served with a smile. Will visit again.
