We decided to have dinner here because it seems to be the nicest place at in town and my husband and I are celebrating my birthday and 2 year anniversary. We were sitting quite quickly even though we didn’t have a reservation. We did wait a little while before meeting our waiter, but they seemed busy so we were patient. I ordered wine, we gave the waiter our order, and a while later, we finally got some bread. Yes, there was a lot of waiting, BUT the manager, Tiffany, was amazing! She kept checking on us and kept apologizing for the long wait. We didn’t realize that we’d been there for almost two hours, but Tiffany was so sweet and attentive that it didn’t bother us. Before we left, we thanked her for her hospitality, especially because we’re celebrating our birthday and anniversary. After hearing this, she refused to let us leave without taking some dessert. Then, she gave us some tips of places we should visit in the area. Wow! It’s amazing how a customer oriented person can turn , what could have been a very bad experience, into a great evening. Thank you, Tiffany! By the way, I ordered the salmon with green beans and peppers, and potatoes and it was seasoned perfectly and delicious! My husband’s schnitzel wasn’t as good, but it’s okay. We’d still come back.

Our server Brianna was outstanding, very attentive and knowledgeable! The jalapeño shrimp app was excellent. The meatloaf was also excellent. The pistachio pesto was good, but the chicken added was abit dry. Excellent brownie… excellent wines. Great ambiance and decor. Highly recommend.

Great waitress, sorry didn't catch her name, but had beautiful red hair. Food was wonderful from appetizer to dessert! Recommend the bread pudding, so yum! Did some flight tastings and all wines were terrific.

What a gem near White Sands National Park. We stumbled upon this place while I was going through google maps and our dinner here was amazing. everything from restaurant to service to food and ambiance, was top notch. They are a local and largest winery in NM and we had a great time here. We tried pretty much all their pasta dishes, calamari and chicken parm and ended our meal with creme brulee. We had a chardonnay for our table which was delicious. Must try when visiting NM.

Wicked good food, service, and wine. The ambiance is cozy and western. Great place for a date or group of friends. And the best salmon I've had in years! You gotta try the Nosh Platter appetizer too. It has an amazing green chili fudge that I ended up buying extra of to take home. Be sure to grab gifts while you're there or order online like I did. No taxes if shipped out of state.

Enjoyed a great dinner here, main impetus was a gift certificate. But their food quality and service were top quality. I did not have any of their wine because I was the driver, but we brought home 3 superb bottles. I highly recommend this fine restaurant in Alamogordo.

Location:Good, Parking: Good, Service: Good, Price for food received: Fair, Overall: This was a first time try and to find a place like this in a small town can be such a breath of fresh air. I remember the previous residents and they did not have the same nice touches we can find now. There was a slight mistake on one of the orders but that seemed to be easily resolved. Weather eating indoors or outside you will be in for a treat. Would I come back and try new items on the menu the answer is yes.

Passing through, recommended by staff at the Hampton Inn. Numerous pasta dishes, steak, fish and some other offerings. It was hard to choose! Selected the New Mexico chicken pasta with a house salad. It was great to say the least. Server was more than attentive and the manager stopped by twice just to check on us. Good portions, great food, highly recommend!

I saw this place as I was passing through Alamogordo and thought it looked worth a try. I was so right. The chicken caprese is one of the best chicken dishes I have ever had at a restaurant. The waitress had also brought us some of their bread with garlic butter. It was a great start to the meal. If you're in the neighborhood, definitely give this place a try.

All of the staff were great! The wine was tasty, all about $10/glass. I’ve had more gourmet food at a winery/bistro but for the price of the meals we got it definitely satisfied. We couldn’t complain about the food at all as far as taste goes. We will be going back for more.

So nice to have the Lescombes winery and restaurant in Alamogordo. Pleased to see a nice dressy casual dinner and lunch crowd. Clean and spacious dinning area. Large windows allow light to filter in. The distance between tables is perfect. Yet, still allowing room for productive atmosphere. Don’t feel crowed at all. Arrived early and seated promptly. Courteous staff. Well trained. Our waitress did not hover, seemed to allow ample time between apps and main course. Good wine selection. Good tasty and light and not overpowering in spices. I will eat here again. I enjoyed the jazz music ever so lightly in the background. Pleasing but busyish in a good way.

Food was excellent. We had the pecan crusted chicken and then the schnitzel. On Saturday night they had live music outside which was nice. I prefer sitting at the tables, the seat in the booth isn’t the most comfortable.

We called the restaurant to get a reservation for a Friday night, and even though the website said they had no availability, they were able to seat us! The food was pretty good, the waiter was very nice and informative. I had the Pasta New Mexico. It wasn't as spicy as I was expecting, and I was a little surprised that the red pepper flakes were just Sprinkled on top of the prepared dish, they weren't cooked into it. While we were there half the lights unexpectedly cut out, which was slightly alarming but overall it was a good experience, and I would recommend this place to anyone passing though.

The food and wine were very good, though protions were a bit small for the price. We ate out on the patio, and pretty sure we were forgotten about for the most part. Our table was dirty when we sat down. While the server was nice, our plates were never cleared and our drink never refilled. He never even checked if our food was okay until we had finished our dinner. This type of service seems to be a running trend in Alamogordo. Though I expected better service from this bistro than we got at Dennys, it was pretty much the same.

Discovered this very popular restaurant and were delightfully pleased with the atmosphere, food and ambience. Went on a Friday night without reservations but was able to get a nice booth within 15 minutes. Great selection of wines, recommended pairings with our grilled salmon dinners. Both were cooked perfectly whether medium rare or medium well. Fresh bread was devine as were the green beans and white rice. Prices were very reasonable. We had a bottle of their Semellon, delightful! They do offer a Beyond Burger substitution for their signature beef burger, but that's about the extent of vegan options. Lots of free parking as well as 5 handicap spots. Descombes is wheelchair accessible, too. Great find! You won't be disappointed.

Amazing place! Great wine selection. Service was friendly. Everything came to the table in an appropriate amount of time. The food tasted good. The ribeye was tender but had no flavor, the pecan crusted chicken was good but over cooked, was able to get the amazing meatloaf without the sauce as she is allergic to mangos but was still really good. Will be back when I get moved down there.

We went here for a bachelorette party dinner the atmosphere and vibes were great. The live music was great and the wine tasting was quite nice. The waitress was incredibly nice and helpful and patient with our many questions and requests lol the food was very good my steak was cooked perfectly and the southwest meatloaf was to die for. Definitely will return

Really enjoyed dinner here. We didn't have reservations, bit they were quickly able to seat us. Might be good to make reservations. It is part of a local, family owned winery, so that is the wine options. We got wine flights and think that is the way to go unless you're familiar with your favorites. Mine was the pino gris if you like dry white wines. Food was excellent and staff was friendly. We were offered a choice of their deserts for the birthday we were celebrating.
