Perfect place to stay in Albuquerque. Very safe and beautiful surroundings. Inside the actual property it doesn’t even feel like you are in the city it is so peaceful and quiet. The hot tub, cowboy pool, and fire pit were awesome to use at night! This is our new go to place to stay when we come to town as long as it is available! We will be back!!

Very happy with my stay in the Yucca suite! Large kitchen and full size fridge, a lovely pool, and all the desert ambience you could hope for. Lots of parking and it is all gated and feels very safe. It is in an excellent location for walking around the shops at Old Town. I can’t wait to return.

Even better than expected! I wish we had planned to stay another night to enjoy the property and neighborhood. Everything was exactly as advertised and it's in a great location to enjoy Old Town. We loved the hot tub and cowboy pool and the yard is great. I would definitely stay here again when we make it back to Albuquerque.

Wonderful stay-cation! My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in the Luna Suite. The suite was beautiful and all instructions (check in to check out) were super easy to follow. It is walking distance to a lot of fun things to do and yummy food in Albuquerque.

The Desert Compass is the perfect place to land while exploring Albuquerque—I cannot recommend it highly enough! I was so impressed with how clean, homey, beautiful, and thoughtfully designed the Yucca Suite was. Everything from the vintage books on the bookshelf to the handmade pottery in the kitchen (which was generously stocked with tea, coffee, olive oil—everything you'd need and more)—the attention to detail was truly above and beyond and made me feel welcome and cared for. The Yucca Suite is filled with thoughtful vintage art deco pieces, natural materials and local art all within a traditional adobe building. It was the perfect spot for a tranquil, inspiring desert reset if that's what you're after. The grounds are also wonderful—there's a lovely outdoor couch area, a hot tub, a cowboy pool, plus a handful of other outdoor seating areas scattered around the property. The neighborhood is ideal—it's within walking distance from old town Albuquerque which is a great area to explore and a short drive to the Sandia Mountain foothills where I spent many evenings walking the trails as the sun set. I can't wait to visit again!

Loved the inventive creative rooms. Coffee and tea were available to make in my kitchen. If in the area again I would stay there! I arrived early and arranged ahead of time to keep my suitcase in a locker on the property. I walked to the grocery store Lowe's that was a mile away, which was a pleasant walk through the neighborhood. Old town is basically across the street, closer than I thought. Albuquerque Museum very close by, has a sculpture garden that was fun to walk through. The ladies at the visitor center were helpful with suggestions for visiting surrounding and nearby areas. I loved the rooms at Desert Compass.

We did a property buy out for our wedding and the experience was wonderful. My guests had a relaxing time and we enjoyed our stay. Love that it is near so many wonderful things to do in Old Town. We can’t wait to come back and relax.

Every corner of the room was thoughtfully decorated with pieces by local artists, making for a beautiful and peaceful stay. They had everything I could have needed in the room, from shampoo/conditioner to coffee to the full Brita in the fridge. Every detail was so thoughtful - will definitely recommend to friends staying in Albuquerque!

I did a property buyout with The Desert Compass for my wedding weekend and it was phenomenal. The process of reserving and checking in was seamless and I was even able to schedule a tour before I booked. The property itself is absolutely gorgeous and every detail is very intentional. We will definitely be back!
