After taking a hit of some homegrown blunt this guy offered me at the pow wow in downtown I found myself up for 3 days straight walking around downtown screming randomly at cars in the street and lost my shoes, when I came to I was in my a hotel The Prickly Pear and John Cena was there and Wiley Coyote too, talk about tripping but only in in the 505 was this my reality, realizing I had not eaten in days, John recommended to go to Garcia's, #OMGreenChiles it hit like Tyson on a plane, i got KTFO, for some old school Neuvo Mexico classicitos, I highly recommend this spot after a fear and loathing 3 day binge you will be grateful you did. I recommend it all. Cost was pre COVID prices now that's what's Uuuuup they also carry all cokes even coke aye. odele', ever since then I now see John Cena in my dreams holding a plate of Garcia's Nachos in one hand and famous Jar of Garcia's homemade Salsa in the other saying "You want some come get some'"

09/23/21 Came to visit from out of town with family and the food was very good. The food did not take very long to come to the table and service was great. I had the enchilada plate with carne adovada (which is about medium spicy) and my husband had the andy’s style breakfast. Would definitely recommend.

Very tasty breakfast food. We got the breakfast burrito and the breakfast sopapillas, which are basically the same thing just with different wrappers. Both of them were very good, I personally liked the sopapillas better but that was because it was fluffier than the tortilla.

Came here at the urging of a fb group from New Mexico. Let me say that the only thing that disappointed me was the hot sauce and chips. Maybe it's not a popular thing in NM but it is in Texas and usually bad chips and hot sauce sets the tone for the rest of the meal. However, in this case it was not true. I got the green chile stew and it was really good. Just a hint of heat. It came with a very large homemade flour tortilla that was fresh and delicious. My hubs got the green chile burger and he enjoyed it (he's the picky one)! My child ordered some pancakes and bacon and they were fun shaped and cooked well. All and all it was a good dining experience but I wasn't blown away. Service was great and atmosphere was nostalgic on route 66. Have to try a few other recommendations and compare but so far so good 👍

My family and I were excited that this location was finally open. We've been by a few times but the place was closed. It was a very... very disappointing dinner experience. Our waiter was rushing to get us out of there. He missed up my husband's order but refused to make it right saying that the kitchen was closed. We were tired and hungry and were expecting friendlier and more professional service. It was an overall horrible experience. Thumbs down 👎.

Quick and tasty!! We got there at around ~1pm and they managed to get us seated and drinks pretty quickly! Staff were super nice and constantly checking on us to make sure we were good. The food was also great!! I really enjoyed the large amount of options you have, varying from more traditional “new mexican” foods to less traditional. Overall I really would recommend they were super!

Great diner! Good food and it’s an original diner from the 40’s

Visiting from UK. Authentic, local restaurant. Recommended by a local resident. Extensive menu. Hard to choose. Delicious green chilli Stew. Chicken Burrito was large, generous portion but average in taste. My refried beans were forgotten. Great service. Recommended.

Waitress took a long time to bring out appetizer and it came with our meal and told her cancel it but she says I'll make it half off but was still full price and my meal was cold I didn't eat it but everyone in my family they got their meals hot.

Born and raised here, NM food is so cheap to make and easy. Why do I keep eating out? It’s bland AF and the cost doesn’t add up.

Delicious and comforting food in a friendly, laid back atmosphere. I ordered the breakfast burrito plate and the burrito was massive (I included a knife in the photo for scale)!

Long-time local restaurant showing its age but food was good and service was quick and friendly. We had the enchiladas and the stuffed sopapilla. Food was delivered quickly and was good and hot. Had a good meal but not something you'd necessarily rave about.

First eating spot for my New Mexico trip! Rich flavors, quick service! I could die eating sopapillas. The food was delicious and it seemed authentic. For someone starting to explore the culture of the south do the United States a must stop! They sell salsas and other good things to take home! I absolutely would recommend that anyone stops here if around!

I had to schedule an impromptu lunch meeting and this garcias location went above and beyond to help me last minute. All the staff members who worked October 14 in the morning were INCREDIBLE. Thank you Garcias!!

Our new favorite place in ABQ. Bought jars of salsa for home. Food is excellent, very flavorful, service top notch. Will definitely return!

Good NM food, tried several things all as good as expected. Loads of character. Many locals dining. A bargain at twice the price.

NO MORE CHILE RELLANOS! NO MORE BLUE CORN ENCHILADAS! I’m so sad Garcia’s has permanently removed them from the menu. Showed up get Chile rellano plates, but had to settle for breakfast sopa. I got the carne adovada. The Adovada was very chewy, I had a headache halfway through the plate. There was barely any red Chile on top, no Chile inside. So it was really like chewy pork squares sopa. This restaurant isn’t was it was... I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to any of my friends and family the way it is operated today, it fails to represent New Mexican food at a high standard.

You can never go wrong with Garcia's. The struggle is knowing the capacity limit of your stomach because it is all New Mexican goodness, served fresh daily. On this particular day I went with thr Karnita plate and an appetizer of Chicharrone with a side of red and green chile, pair this with freshly made tortillas and you have heaven on a plate!!

First time eating here, this place was recommended..Food was delicious 😋 the waitress named Alma.A was very polite and kept our drinks filled. Pleasant inviting atmosphere, all staff smiled and greeted with a "hello".I tried the combination plate and the tamale 🫔 was the bomb.. tasted very authentic 😋 way to go 😃😛
