I was advised by my dr to go to the er. I was unable to walk. Unable to stand. Unable to move in different positions. I was taken by ambulance. Got triaged and put in the waiting room crying and yelling in pain. The so called dr had ordered something to help with the pain but no one came. I sat there for two hours and called the er department 6 times asking for help. That never came. The charge no came in and basically scolded me because they were backed up. I needed to use the restroom but no one came to help. I spoke to the director and he said he would come down and find my nurse. Nothing happened! Finally the dr called and I told her I was unable to move. At which point I was told well I was going to have to wait then. Instead of getting me help! On my last call to the er the charge nurse came in and scolded me again about calling! I told her I can not move that's why I was calling. But I will call in the morning to complain. About 10 min later I was in a room got vitals and the dr walked in and asked what my plan was! I was not going to get any drugs! I yelled and said I'm here for help not drugs! I'm not a drug seeker! I didn't get examined, they gave me something thru the iv and I told them just discharge me I'd rather be in pain at home. And they did. With no medication for home. I was treated rudely and like a drug seeker, and ignored. It was the worst service ever. And I'm not one to complain but it was ridiculous! I have filed a complaint.

Horrible care, they delayed my health care by 4 days! Always healthy but was taken here by Ambulance, they kept me for 7 hours then released me even when I was telling them something is really wrong, my discharge papers stated: Pneumonia, UTC e coli, Sepsis, and Kidney failure. Dr George Dockendort wasn't even wearing the proper PPE, there was a tech fitting me for oxygen, he didn't have a mask or gloves on! I was home for 2 days then they called me back to admit me in the hospital for a week, was on oxygen and IV! Someone finally read the discharge papers! Glad to be alive

I am so over this ER. I've been here since 8:45am this morning and it's 1pm. There's only one "nurse" who decided to come to work today. I truly don't understand how a positive COVID patient can get a room before I do. When she got her at around 10:30am. I'm in the worst pain I could possibly be in and still haven't been seen???? What is the point of calling this place an emergency room if you have to wait 8plus hours just to be seen. I was told by the staff that I would be wait here for another 5-6 hours more before I'm taken to a room or seen my a provider. I've about had it up to my last straw with this place.

Nothing short of miraculous. They took my Father in when it seemed no one else would and immediately treated his pain and diagnosed his kidney stones. We spent 2 days and nights in and out of emergency rooms (pres urgent care and UNM) and They simply did not care or were just too overwhelmed to take any consideration aside from their standard protocol which consisted of having him wait upright in a chair for hours upon hours with no update and no relief. I can not thank these professionals enough for their consideration and attention. THANK YOU, especially Raul. You may have saved his life, or at least at minium saved him from a pain neither I nor many people could ever imagine. This is what medical care in the most advanced country in the world should look likeπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ™πŸ½

It's one of the worst ER's I have been to. First, the waiting room ( if you can call it that) was dirty with garbage and used blankets on the floor. Second, 12 seats that are awful, third the process they follow when taking in patients is disorganized. They take patients in, evaluate them, and then put them back in the waiting room. Rather than following through with that patients issues and results, they start with new patients. I went in for a possible blood clot, they did an X-ray with results were ready and in my chart at 10:39 am, it is now 12:32 pm almost 2 hours after my results were done when I started writing this. What happened to taking care of the patients and getting them of the ER. Not only is the issue above not acceptable, but they continue to violate HIPAA by coming into the waiting room and discussing the patient's results in front of everyone. When I called them out on that, they took me into an office to discuss mine, and I was out the door by 1:05 pm. Continue... Let me save you a some money. They do not do emergency MRIs. What good is an emergency room that can not do emergency MRI's I would have to go somewhere else. I suggest you do the same.

Nurses can't find veins and then give up. Can't get meds, can't get IV. Then they get upset when you ask them politely if there is anything they can do for your wife who has been here, crying in pain, for 4 hours.

The front desk staff in the ER are obnoxious & rude as hell. They don't answer any questions & told me "just go find a nurse, any of them can tell you what you want to know". As if the nurses aren't running around busy enough.

Worst hospital I’ve ever been too. I was seen here a year ago for an injury to my Achilles. The nurses were absolutely rude told me to quit being a millennial cry baby for a simple cut. All the doctor did was stitch me up and told me to walk on my foot and get over it and discharged me. I walked but with a lot of pain, so I went to a different hospital and was told I had a ruptured Achilles tendon and needed surgery. Well I ended up having surgery to replace my tendon. The doctors at the other hospital were very concerned that this hospital did absolutely nothing to help me or due any X-rays/MRI’s. I will NEVER return to this hospital!

Quick and efficient ER. Got us in right away, triage was initiated right after check in, and treatment begun promptly. Very efficient, and this was a pleasent ER experience. One of the best in my entire life. Quick and efficient. Called ahead to get wait times, too. Good ER.

Arrived around 12:00 noon. Finally saw a Dr around 6 pm. Nurse was rude and condescending. Suggest going somewhere else. God help you if it's a life threatening emergency.

Not good male triage nurse for the Ed he is very confrontational and likes to make small sick women feel intimated by him. Crazy this ED has more bad reviews then good ones and I didn't even look until I put mine in wow how should of just took the time to go somewhere else I will never again go to this ED! Definitely read the reviews more times they are right about what is said about somewhere learned my lesson! If I could give the ED no stars jus because of the treatment and I never seen a doctor and they never really told me much but inwill not go-to this ED!

I went in for an injured knee. Check in was quick and friendly. I waited about 15 min. in the waiting room before I got triaged. Not bad. Triage went smoothly. Put back in waiting room where I spent the rest of my visit. Never heard of being treated in the waiting room... hmmm. There were people in the waiting room getting IV infusuions... hmmm I got my xrays after about an hour. They were friendly and helpful. After about 2 more hours, I was escorted into a small office where I was told the results of my xrays. They put a brace on my knee right there. There was never a treatment room involved...hmmm... Everybody involved in my care was great. BUT no one ever identified themselves. I didn't know who the doctor was, and I'm pretty sure there was no nurse involved in my care. I feel I was taken care of appropriately, and in a reasonable amount of time, but the way they do things here are WEIRD!!!

Its been several hours (literally) since my daughter received a call from a from Saturday test results to return immediately due to a bacterial infection in her blood....and today after being with her in the waiting room due to lack of nurses, she had to wait and I had to leave. Now I've been waiting several hours for information...literally. I called and spoke with MEGHAN, CHARGE NURSE in ER now and she's incredibly rude and lacks compassion. She admittedly has a child of her own yet she lacks total compassion for my only child in ER. Meghan needs coaching that's for sure. it's been 7 hours and NOTHING from ER (of which I'm on my daughters approved list of people to connect with) and Meghan remains secretive, unhelpful and unprofessional. One can only pray that she doesn't seek revenge and take it out on the patient, my daughter. On a side note, I've delivered food to nurses and they are the worst tippers. After the pandemic I guess they feel the world owes them. But it's their job. Just like everyone else in the world has jobs....she needs to pony up and do hers. Long are the days where nurses were compassionate. And for those compassionate nurses....you have Meghan to thank for this review. I don't care how upset parents are about their child being in ER....she needs to be more professional, patient and compassionate. If she can't be that then maybe its time for her to retire.

I was promised a care plan and discharged without any of it and no explanation. This is the last time I make the mistake of going to this hospital. The staff were openly making fun of patients in front of the entire lobby full of people. It was utterly FILTHY. If you have a bad experience at this hospital, please report it to the department of health.

They say 30 minute wait time, which was a total lie, I had a rabies exposure from an animal, so I call hospital before I arrived and was told to go into ER for rabies shots. Show up and they don’t have it, they have to request it from UNM, which took over 4 hours. There is two nurses and one doctor here. They were sure to collect payment even before Triage.

Absolute worst ER I’ve ever been to! The waiting room is disgustingly dirty. Old used tissues on the chairs, a bloody mask on another chair, and little blood spots on the floor that have obviously been there for a while, they are rude & left us waiting for an hour!!!

😠 My adult daughter who is autistic went there twice within the last week and left sobbing in pain. Zero compassion.
