I came in with pain on the left side of my face along with other sinus infection symptoms, I also was being seen for hip and back pain which I was told 3 years that I had pre arthritis and a frayed labrum. The pain had gotten worse since my last X-ray so I wanted her to do another X-ray to see if there was something else wrong. She didn’t even exam me and just told me to lose weight and exercise. The last thing I was being seen for was for being dehydrated. I’m a diabetic and my pcp is working on finding the right dose of insulin for me. So with high blood sugars, I get dehydrated and I usually can go into the ER and get a bag of fluids but NOPE she only told me to drink water! I told her I’ve been drinking water for 24 hours with no relief. It’s very irritating that she spent 10 minutes with me when I waited a little over 5 hours to be seen. Absolutely ridiculous!! I will not being going back to Kaseman, it’s a joke

Don't go here if you have a life threatening illness. They are in no rush because they're getting paid by the hour. Danielle at the intake desk is not a nurse but she wants to be. Unfortunaely she has no compassion as to whether people should live or die in her waiting room. We were sent from urgent care because my husband was septic with a 105 temperature and 87% oxygen saturation. The concentration. The doctor said he was most likely covid and septic and needed to be hospitalized immediately.. Danielle had to finish putting her stickers on her arm 1st and when I asked if she would at least look at the letter that the physician provided is she threw me out of the waiting room via security. Right now it they now have my husband back there and he is not able to answer for himself because he has a fever and he is confused . This is no way to treat a veteran and no way to treat a retired nurse. I would not bring my dog to this hospita. Where the hell is JACHO when you need them? I'll give them a call.

Nurses are great but the operational process of this ER is a disaster. Should not have to spend 7 hours in the ER. The CEO Dale Maxwell or his COO Brad Cook should be embarrassed on how bad this operation is and I suggest they get out of their comfy office and spend 7 hours in this ER to get an idea of what the nurses and staff needs to prevent paying patients having to spend 7 hours in the ER. Dale and Brad if you want to support your team, go spend 7 hours in the ER with them. if you do not, it just shows you do not care and then you should not be in Health Care. I would gladly talk to anyone from Presbyterian who wants to talk on how to improve their ER.

Do NOT go here for true emeegencies!!! Our time here was traumatic. My daughter came in with a severe head injury and was vomiting blood. I urgently asked if we should be triaged. The front desk person said, sorry there's nothing we can do. I needed more bowls to catch blood vomit but the made me wait in line to get it. When i asked where to put it, they pointed to a general area which led to a linen bin! Once a doctor finally saw my 4yo, then they moved into urgent action!

After 4 hours, waiting in the waiting room, I was pushed aside and told to sit down and be quiet. I've been struggling to breathe for the last couple of days and I was finally able to get to the ER where I was neglected. I'm also a diabetic and when I informed them that my blood sugars were tanking, they told me to be quiet, sit down and wait. I just came from Denver... A city with a population of over 7 million whereas the entire state of New Mexico is way less and their emergency departments have always gotten me in and out in about 2, maybe 3 hours at the most. The fact that Kaseman has no clue how to triage makes me scared and sad for the people of Albuquerque. There is no option for "worst experience ever.

All of Presbyterian is the same. If you don't have their insurance they don't care. They don't care you are disabled. They don't care how far you travel to them. They don't care how much pain you are in. They don't care. They wait until last minute to tell you that you have to pay for your appointment. They wait until last minute to hit you with a cancelation fee. They wait to make sure you are too desperate to do anything about it.

I would like to commend the staff at the ER at Kaseman, from the first person I spoke to , to the Doctor himself. I walked in after driving around the NE Heights looking for a Urgent Care. They were crowded and really unable to help me, because I was having chest pains/shortness of breath. I drive to Kaseman-ER. I explained to first young lady my situation. She had me stand to the side within 20 second another young lady, Hally came to get me. I answered all her questions, she took my BP within 4 minutes RN (Dan) come to get me. He was very thorough with his attention to me, he immediately gave me an EKG, drew blood, and a chest x-ray. He explained every procedure to me. But all my test where ready for him to read w/in 20 minutes of my entrance. Once seeing the doctor (DR. Hsu) very good man. He came into the room, sat down next to me and spoke to me with great concern, looked me in the eyes, asked me questions listened to my answers. The second RN was a male nurse he was doing more test, give me a second EKG for comparison he also was kind and spoke to me with concern. Even Hanna RN, the discharge nurse made sure I had everything I needed before I left. This is my first ever ER visit, I am 71 yrs old. It was a long day in the ER, but worth every minute, because they helped me. Every person I came into contact with helped. -Loretta Thursday March 23, 2023

Why do you come to the hospital if they’re not helping. Specially if it’s a mental health emergency. They physically see the patient running outside and refusing to wait to be seen and they just sit and watch. Not to mention the patient is a minor. The lady up in the check in is the worst! She needs to be fired

Have had multiple clients go to Kaseman ER and be treated as less then by Pres staff and I have personally witnessed this as we transported a client to Kaseman ER and were treated rudely by the security guard and front desk staff. I find that the staff tend to treat clients differently, especially those experiencing homelessness, substance abuse and co-occurring disorders with serious mental illness. This is so unfortunate because often clients do not have a choice of where to seek emergent care due to geographic location. I had another client tell me that they were discharged to the street in the cold and told by the security guard that they couldn't be on the property because they had been discharged. The staff have not called ubers nor taxis for several of my clients upon discharge. I believe arranging transportation on discharge is a best practice for discharging ERs. Very disappointed and would like to see changes in addition to community facing advisory board or listening sessions so there is some accountability and follow up on these complaints. An email by a Pres Manager is not enough.

I understand there is a long wait, that was fine. What was fine is after long wait doctor tried to re run test that I had already had done in triage and after patiently waiting for 5 hours I was treated very rudely. Asked for Tylenol , (did not receive) for my covid migraine and after 2 hours in a room I left. Then upon discharge they accidently had me sign someone else's medical release. The people remotely nice was rn in triage and x ray tech. Skip this mayhem and go to one of the mains.

I just had the worst hospital experience of my life. I had a operation that done on Friday. Over night it began to bleed. When I woke up I call my doctor and he told me go get to the nearest hospital and have it looked at to make sure that everything was okay. There was maybe five people waiting. I was stuck there for four hours while I was bleeding out. That entire time I could see the hospital workers messing around, not doing anything. I will never come back to this dump again.

Wish to thank the wonderful caring staff of the Ann Kaseman ER. Their care for me was great and at times ERs can be difficult environments to work in but they treated all patients with respect . Thank you to all the nurses, doctors , Utrasound and CT scan techs , and staff fir their Professional caring treatment.

I had a letter from my eye doctor and they refused to read it or listen to me when I arrived. Sent me for the wrong test until I finally saw a doctor. Put me in a cold empty room for several hours until I just left without the results. I would have waited 8 hours! They weren't busy at all. Nurses were condescending. Go somewhere else.

As someone very familiar with emergency rooms Kaseman's is actually quite good. They are busy and they see a lot of people and a lot of weirdness. They always do their best and are always hardworking. I didn't see anyone sitting around gossiping at the nurse's station which speaks volumes. I say thank you to all of the staff from the security to the front desk to the nurses and doctors, good job and you are appreciated.

Went in for back pain . Drs and nurses was nice and tried to help. Problem I have is I caught covid while in The emergency room. I came home from kaseman and stayed in bed due to back pain for 2 days then the symptoms started , fever, headache etc.. Because I stayed home in bed after the ER there is no chance I got it any place else . My family is getting sick one by one now even my grandkids. Guess they don't sterilize very well? Perhaps staff had covid ? Who cares why , point is I am worst off now then what I went in for and so is my family.

👍👍 Hope that you may never need to visit Hospital/ER but if you do; go here they'll take care of you. 12/17/2021 The staff that took my BP/vitals was UNEMPATHIC as it relates to the reason(s) I was there. Besides that they were efficient. The environment is clean and professional. Normalized EMPATHY, p...

😠 This place has very poor service. Period. If you're not a large problem, you will be ignored. You will be triaged quickly and then left waiting and waiting if they don't think you are a serious case. You are better off waiting through the night to be seen by a day clinic. We got there at a reasonabl...

😠 HORRIBLE!! I was visiting from out of town. I arrived at the ER at 10pm. The check-in process is completed in front of EVERYONE and the whole waiting room will know your SSN. They’re quick to draw blood and get your vitals, but that’s it! No DR, PA, LPN or RN sees you! People who where having chest...
