Most popular gym in Albuquerque and they only have one set of ropes?? Buy some equipment for your paying customers. No excuse when this gym is packed 24/7. Disrespectful to your members. All that money and you can’t provide quality equipment for your members. This is what the one set of ropes they have look like. Go to defined where you’ll actually get your moneys worth.

Terrible service. I had an encounter with an employee who said I was not allowed to bring guests. I had been a member for 3 years. I always brought a guest. Last time i went an employee told me they changed the membership rules and I was no longer allowed to do so. That’s fine I made her a guest pass for the time we were there. We came back and this guy (in photo) said I was sneaking guests in. I told him please upgrade my membership so I can bring her because I need to take care of her. My friend is not mentally or physically well and he started yelling at her saying she ran to the bathroom. She is sick and i told her to. He was being rude since the beginning. He starts arguing with me so i go to the restroom to get her because i was treated so bad i wanted to leave. He follows us and calls me cheap and says I try to sneak her in? What? I explain to him she has a sickness but he threatens to cancel my membership and I told him please do. Then he says I desperately need a new gym (calling us fat) and repeatedly calls us cheap. I tried to upgrade to the top membership but he was so mad he cancelled it. why? I don’t know what is going on with him personally but i’m no threat to this man. Then he flips me off (in photo) I loved Chuze but that was unexpected.

Is a great gym for its price. There are still some inconsistencies that are annoying but no gym is perfect. It seems the staff chooses to close whenever they would like and will shut down amenities like treadmills, the hydromassage chairs, and the swimming area. It's really hard to get everything you need in if you arrive even two hours before closing. I've never had a problem with theft as I bring my own lock. Sometimes the free weights gets extremely busy in the evenings. The cinema is also an amazing feature. It has potential to be the best gym in ABQ.

I won't complain about the the crowds, That's good for you. Just spend some of the profit to maintain equipment. Stop waiting for equipment to "pull a hammy". Jesus G posted about the selectorized calf machine 7 months ago. Still not working properly. Now the other calf machine is also dragging. The machines should be inspected on a regular basis for proper function by someone with knowledge of maintenance of fitness equipment. I was in the industry for over 20 years. Your gym is a good concept, your staff is friendly, the problems with maintenance are more than obvious. I ctrinan recommend a local contractor or you can train a tech. Either way it will be well worth the cost.

We are fairly new members and enjoy the gym and all it has to offer. But the management and owners REALLY need to do something to enforce the mask mandate. I see through the comments that this has been an ongoing issue, which really invalidates the owners responses to everyone who has raised concerns. Masks below noses, masks around necks, masks off while using the treadmills or other equipment. The same people who would be whining about "lockdowns" if privileges are lost when covid numbers raise. Do your part to stop the spread!

Its a good gym and pretty clean but cmon, keep up with maintenance on your attachments! Rope attachments are wear items and need to be replaced periodically. What they have now is not only unusable but a safety concern. These are worn to the last few strands.

So far my experience has been great. Awesome facility! Top of the line equipment. Chuze fitness has been helping with my self-care, motivation and physical conditioning. I would highly recommend if your looking for a place to exercise and work out at. From the hydro massage to the steam sauna and hot tub. Staff is friendly and prompt with their customer service always making sure to greet you when you walk in. They also offer the kids zone child care membership for when my kids are with me.

So I have a love hate relationship with all gyms. When I got here things were pretty clean and all the equipment was working. More recently I see equipment OOO for more than a week. It’s a gym. 24 hour fix time is all you get. And why oh why would I ever find wipes to clean equipment OUT? That’s unacceptable. Wipes or rags + cleaning solutions should ALWAYS be plentiful. So. CLEAN UP 🧼. On the bright side. The Chuze theater is great! ♥️ Movies The pool is long and refreshing. The shakes are tasty. Staff is friendly. Hydro massage is delightful. And they have ropes and Les Mills. Downside is they changed programs after I joined and made less things available. Decently priced membership for what you get and location can’t be beat

I actually helped and remodeling this place for choose to step in from the old Toys R Us my company Fe 26 Steel Erectors did all the welding and added to the bar joists in the door frames to allow for more customer insurance and a better secluded entrance displace is it definite eye-opener we've had to go in after the grand opening and to install some small things like handrails and I'll tell you what I was blown away by the treatment of the staff which was excellent the inexpensiveness of the monthly membership and the overall appearance of this facility full size pool wet sauna dry sauna even have a movie theater in here oh my gosh good job guys especially for all those that had to relocate from Arizona and Colorado just to get this place up and running can't believe what a wonderful job while you guys are done thanks for bringing something beautiful like this back to Albuquerque

This company is great don’t get me wrong. The staff is friendly and the equipment is always clean but I am never able to get access to the squat racks. There is always somebody on it for long periods of time. The company should find a way to time each person so that way everyone can get access to the equipment. This place is ALWAYS busy I suppose that’s good for the company but not for the people who want to get access to the needed equipment.

I canceled my membership because the gym has not been enforcing the mask mandate--less than half of the members are wearing one on any given day. I understand that the staff wants to avoid confrontation with maskless members, and I was prepared to walk away from this place quietly and find another gym. But that all changed when Chuze charged me a $50 cancellation fee. I shouldn't have to incur additional charges due to the gym's failure to keep its facility in compliance with a public health mandate.

I enjoy this place because the swimming pool. The jacuzzi ,steam rooms and the sauna. BUT they always have issues with steam room. One week works next week is out service The Jacuzzi is always dirty. And sauna # 2 don’t work most of times. And when I ask to speak to a manager they said no one is available at the moment. They also give a number to call a manager I called couple times. No one answer my calls. They are very unprofessional at this place. They not cleaning the equipment either. They just walk all over the place but doing nothing

Covid warning if not fixed gym will have outbreak!! Counted about 5 people working out with no mask and not cleaning equipment after use. Very concerning since it is a requirement and I would hate to have the gym have a outbreak. Nobody enforcing the mask requirements and I choice not to go to the equipment they used and coughed all over on. Please do better to make members safe

Did the 7 day free trial. The gym it self was alright but there were some issues. The IR sauna was out of order the whole week. In the locker there was often guys just standing in the way taking photos of themselves. The people(non-staff) seemed less friendly than some of the other gyms I have been to in the area. Someone had urinated in the showers one day. It wasn’t all bad though. The cardio movie room was cool and the wet sauna was nice, plus the staff was very nice.

Clean gym, nice equipment, & friendly staff most of the time. With the weird times we’re in having to wear masks in the gym and what not, I’ve been abruptly told to put my mask over my nose. As we all experience, especially when lifting weights or running with sweat, it’s hard to keep a mask from slipping down. I understand it’s probably been prioritized by corporate to tell people, but a little more grace would be nice.

I loved this gym until they reopened after COVID shut down. I called to freeze my account as I was not ready to go back, they promised me they had frozen the account and I trusted that until I was charged for the next month. I then called again and requested a refund plus my account to be frozen. My account was not frozen and my account was charged for another month once again. They are refusing to give me a refund now and no one is answering my emails or questions and when I call they tell my I cannot be helped.

Joined Chuze for the Sauna/Steam room….both are down A LOT. I’ve called to speak to a manager and always get “no one is available at the moment”. Overall it’s a nice facility but premium amenities are down way too frequently for the price.

I love this gym. The classes and instructors are fantastic! I do wish there were more class options though. Before Covid there were many choices throughout the day, now all 5am classes are Team Training whereas before there would be a studio choice, Team Training choice and a Group X choice. Same for the evening. I know it's because Covid messed everything up but I hope they're able to add back some of these options throughout the year!

I respect a few members of the staff dearly. I just want it to be known that the calf machine in the circuit area is broken and does not slide properly. It had a notice placed on the seat but it was later removed. What I wanna ask is: for the machine to be fixed, I really love doing calfs.

Chuze Fitness gyms are the equivalent of planet fitness, only with smaller locker rooms that make you change shoulder to shoulder with other people and only one machine per 5 people they sign up for a membership. At any given time, there's easily a safety code being broken with the amount of crowds that swarm this place. There is literally 3 or 4 people waiting on machines because everything is taken and there's so few machines. The staff is friendly, but they do not move from the front desk areas. If you want to pay for a "gym" membership that discourages attendance and motivates you to stay home, this is the place for it.

The gym was clean, the staff was friendly and the first visit was free. I stopped by on my trip to Albuquerque and even though it was crowded I was able to utilize all the machines/ weights that I needed. The signage and Movie theatre were a plus + Would recommend! $10 day pass if you are visiting

I started a membership in hopes of using the pool and hot tub however since starting my membership the pool is absolutely disgusting. Has not been cleaned in months they dump chemicals in instead of actually cleaning causing you rash from the chemicals the water is so murky with stuff floating in the water. The hot tub also has not been touched in months as well as the water is actually brown as well as intensity of the fumes from the chemicals, it will burn your eyes and skin. The showers are horrendous with used pads, wrappers, tissue, and hair covering the floors again has been like this for weeks on end. The gym equipment does not get cleaned at all. I have made multiple complaints to the managers with nothing but a shrug and a sorry as their excuse however they do acknowledge how filthy this gym is. I will be calling and making reports to the health department as well.

A lot of billing issues with this club. First couldn’t down grade from premium. Front desk said there was an issue with the system and they would complete it as soon as they could. Never happened. Then I go in during all this covid stuff, the first day they reopen and they charge me another month because I didn’t cancel ten days prior. They have been closed for two weeks. Yeah it’s in the contract, but it’s not right to charge customers for things out of our control.

Chuze fitness prides themselves on being affordable and no contract, but that's not true. They will still charge a $70 sign up fee, the monthly fee which is actually $14.99 (no contract), and they charge an annual fee too 😵 ha! No thanks. Working out at home for FREE and avoiding Covid sounds way more reasonable to me.

Let me start by saying, I love Chuze gym.. HOWEVER, the Smith rack, and leg press are NEVER available. People camp on the equipment. The gym is clean and noce to be at when there isn't a million other people.

Can't reach any management and never receive any call backs as requested. You keep taking money from my account even though I've ended my 12 month contract. I have one bad lung and can't risk going out, yet your staff are requiring me to come in for a physical signature and still no manager to talk to. I'm disgusted by your lack of response. -6/22/20 update Hey thanks for getting back to me cancellations are all in place. But I'm just waiting for my refunds now. if you guys have gotten back to me like a month ago like you said you were going to then I wouldn't have these issues. I understand that covid it's affecting everything but you're referencing an email that I already sent something to and got nowhere a month ago. -6/30/20 Still waiting for refunds, this is very unethical. -7/3/20 Received partial refund for when they reopened and continued to bill me even though I asked for them to cancel. Still haven't gotten my refund of the entire month of March. I'm sorry but you should have refunded me for 28 days. Still no one is called me about this issue and when I call and ask I'm told just to email it and a manager will get back. the manager that give it back to me still hasn't refunded this march bill. there seems to be no other way to communicate with Chuze, they don't want to talk to the customer when it is a billing problem. use a lot of caution everyone like you would with any gym but this place really doesn't have any communication coming from management.

Great equipment and staff is quite friendly most of the time. One minor gripe is that staff seems to congregate at the front of the gym and certain items aren't regularly replaced. The hours are pretty good compared to most gyms with this quality of equipment. I would give this place 4 or more stars except for one huge practicality caveat. . . and that is volume of patrons is very high. Unless you are planning to go very early in the morning or late at night you will most likely have to wait several minutes to have access to most of the popular pieces of equipment. It's especially busy during Jan/Feb but in previous months it was almost as bad. I'm basically locked in because of the 1 year membership etc. but I might have to think about switching to a slightly less nice but more available gym after my membership is over. That being said if you enjoy being in fast paced energetic settings this place would be great for you.

Good equipment but not enough for how many people are here. I've been here at all times of the day and it's always packed. If you like going to a gym and being able to get onto a machine without waiting, this place isn't for you. Squat racks always have a line.

I'm really going to miss this gym when its shut down. The anti mask gym bros have taken over. This couple here today didn't even have a mask on them. I have sadly had to report this gym to the state for a corona violation. ENFORCE YOUR RULES

This gym has nice equipment. What's astounding is that a gym this size would only have one leg press and one leg extension. It's as if the designer never actually worked out at a gym and saw what machines were most often used. There should be at least 3 of each for a gym with this much traffic! My second biggest gripe is that they play music so loud, you cannot hear your own Playlist. Why can't a gym respect the fact that 100% of their customers own their own music device? I opted to pay a premium with Sports and Wellness center we there's low traffic, and the music is blaring. If these two gripes aren't a big deal to you, then this is a great gym for what it offers. If you do heavy lifting and don't want to wait in long lines for common machines, you'll want to pay a little more for Defined Fitness imo.

Awesome gym, I love how big this place is. I also love working out in the old Toys r Us. The machines are well kept and the place is always pretty clean. The only thing that's wrong with the place is that it can be too busy at times. Which is awesome for business but can be annoying to work around. I find the early mornings are best.

I have been to several gyms and this gym is the one I enjoy the most working out while watching a movie is a great way to enjoy getting fit. The staff is friendly and professional, The gym is always clean. There's a smoothie bar and other amenties such as the hydro massage and the tanning booth. feel great after going to chuze fitness. A big plus for me is there is security in the parking lot of the gym the entire time the gym is open. Worth giving it a try

This gym is fantastic. It's got a wide variety of equipment to chuze from. I also love that it's not as expensive as some of those other gyms out there. It's a little more crowded than I would like (even on weekdays). Other than that, I love it!

I really enjoy this gym and the staff are always very nice! However it is too hot to even work out in there. If they would just turn on the air-conditioning that would be great.

We joined this gym because of the friendly staff. It is a big gym with multiples of the same machine. I love that there is a movie room! Lots of classes to enjoy!

I love all the employees but the direction from the GM is baffling. If employees were instructed to walk the gym and check on things for just half the time they're forced to spend giving "Hello!" 's and "Goodbye" 's to every single patron that walks in - the overall health of the gym would be better off. Is the steam room working? Is it clean? Are the saunas working and clean? What about the hot tub? What about the showers? Side note: No, a $50 electric pressure washer is not enough to clean the steam room. It smells absolutely horrid in their 6/7 days of the week. You need a HIGH POWERED - GAS pressure washer

This place is the best gym ever. I can go there and relax. I do not have people bug me and pester me to get on the machines or the free weights. The staff is very caring and very kind. They always have a very positive attitude and are willing to help anyone out when they need help. I am so glad that I joined this gym.

Good place to get a membership. It's a nice atmosphere, you don't feel awkward around people when using the equipment. I got a chocolate mint smoothie right after my workout and it was very good. This place is not like Defined fitness where I used to feel very lonely, that place is full of showoffs who think they're better, I felt judged even by a trainer there, just because I looked tired and had sweats on, she was giving me the pitty look, um like dude what? I'm here to workout, mind your eyes. This place hasn't made me feel bad about myself, so if you're like me and just want to join a gym where it feels good to get a workout, this is the place.

The staff here at Chuze have the best attitudes out there. They are always willing to help out the members without hesitation! I would like to shoutout Raymond here for showing me proper deadlifting form as I was constantly hurting myself trying to figure it out until he was kind enough to help me fix my form. The customer service is unmatched here at chuze fitness, personally I would say much better than Chick-fil-A customer service.

Great place to get the heart rate up and burn some calories. Has perks that other gyms may not. Only complaint is that there are times you have to be patient to use the space/ eqpt but tbh I don't think that's something they can fix.

this gym is verrrrrrry nice. honestly it’s a bit pricey but id say it’s worth it. the hydromassage chairs are so nice after working out and the locker room is very w pretty and the lay out is nice. the staff at the front are also very nice and one of them even gave me a small tour on my first day :) the only con id say is how busy it gets, and how little machines there are for legs. but overall very nice :))) edit: forgot to say but there aren’t many stations for the wipes to wipe down the machine and the ones that are have been out the past few times

Really good place! They even have patrol for the parking lot considering the area. It can feel kind of crowded in the front because of all the tall machine so close together but overall it’s an amazing gym

Good facilities, friendly staff. The only reason they don't get five stars is that the upkeep/maintenance on everybody equipment could and should be much better.

I go almost everyday for the hydo massage and I ride the bike. Contrary to the response to a member from a couple of months ago masks are required to workout in every gym in the state. Compared to other gyms in town I go to Chuz is doing a good job with monitoring the mask situation. However, I still see the same people almost everyday in the gym and the hydro massage room who take their masks off. I report them to the staff. I got some free months for the many referrals to Chuze and then paid the $50 bucks at the coors location right before the covid shutdown. I miss the whirpool and saunas. I'm 65 and I don't mind wearing the mask it's better than the alternative which Is catching the covid 19 virus. I have another week left on my membership at Chuz. I'll probably come back to Chuz this fall when my silver sneakers membership starts.

This place is pretty cool,I like the hydro massage chairs. And the tanning booth's are good.But I wish the hot tub was open because I really miss it.

Great range of the best equipment. Visited Chuze Winrock for three days on a guest pass. Very clean gym with wipes available everywhere. Was there at around 5am each morning and already a good crowd. Lots of options if a piece of equipment is unavailable. Possibly more options that many gyms I have visited. Ryan created a fantastic smoothie. Great mix of people on this very comfortable atmosphere.

Being very well kept and they are maintaining as much social distancing as possible.

I am from the South East so Chuze is not an option there. We have many parlor fitness centers and a few warehouse style centers, mainly Planet Fitness. I will say that the Planet Fitness where I am from is equal, in size, to the Chuze facilities here, however the amenities of the two are what set them apart. This location has a lot of variety in their location, a huge free weight area, several cardio zones, a nice circuit training zone, and great spaces for classes (however I haven't been able to do any classes due to COVID). Their machines are clean, new, and well maintained. The staff is friendly and energetic. Plus, they have an indoor pool, but it only has three lanes (BETTER THAN ZERO). I haven't had a chance to experience all of the amenities to date, but I will as my membership progresses. I am just glad they are back open again, and at least operating at significant capacity.

Worst gym in Albuquerque. The staff is very rude and lazy. Can never find cleaning wipes when needed, no one is enforcing mask, or members cleaning after them self. I would rather be at planet Fitness at least the safe helps keep you safe with their cleaning. Also the staff refuses to cancel my membership and keeps trying to bill me.

(Non-Chuze gyms, btw) You can’t workout in those without being posted on someone’s instagram as an innocent bystander. High end gyms had strict phone policies. The two pics below in the reviews should be pulled from the google page. Sorry about the rant, this gym is great! Staff keep it meticulously cleaned. Very few Bros. Front desk was nice enough to be lenient with the guest pass when I was running late and promised to sign up next time. Well ya grew on me, and I did!

Walked in to purchase a membership and there was an employee helping an older gentleman ahead of me while at least 5 other employees were doing nothing but talking to one another! they don't honor medical letters from a doctor stating I, due to a medical condition, am exempt from wearing masks. They stated that the governor has said they do not have to honor medical letters and therefore will not... Then when I told them to cancel my membership then, they told me they were going to charge me $50 to do so!

I was so thrilled to join this gym , and all of my experiences at the facility up until now have been amazing. UNTIL. I had an emergency surgery, between this and covid concerns, me and my fiancé arranged a 3 month hiatus, went in signed paperwork and everything. I was just charged for both memberships today, despite all the hours we jumped through to take a break and keep our membership. Looks like I'll have to quit instead, which breaks my heart, but if they won't honor the 3 month break they set up for me, I don't see any other option. My advice, be careful, they do not honor thier word.

I used a day pass to try Chuze since Albuquerqueans are raving so much about this place. The gym is really really nice! I lost my keys for two hours in this place, the entire staff helped me looked for them. Shoutout to Isaiah he dug through all of thecardio equipment to find them. The place is really clean and super dope, alot of people during lunchtime when I do make my switch from Planet Fitness... this is is def the place

Staff is very friendly and professional and are on a first name basis with members and it makes it that much more comfortable.

The general manager Tamara of this location is very unprofessional. Chuze continued to charge me on my account when I had switched to silver sneakers. The staff failed to do the transfer. It was never my fault! They made me feel like I was the problem and that we were not tackling the problem together. There was no solution or no communication regarding my situation. There are so many other better gyms out there do not choose chuze! If I could give it zero stars I would! I'm losing out on hundreds of dollars because I chose to come to this gym!

This gym is so organized, not to mention the friendly staff. They took care of me so well when I signed up. Unlike defined fitness, I used to love that gym but over the years they really de-escalated… Sorry to compare, Not really sorry. But chuze fitness has definitely exceeded my expectations and I am really happy to be a member.

I just recently started coming to this gym and I'm very glad I did! The trainers are very kind and welcoming. Definitely recommend going to this gym.. everyone here is friendly!

I’m updating my one star review because they have since fixed the broken steam room and sauna finally. The saunas at this location are definitely not hot enough and not nearly as hot as the ones at the west side location. But at least the steam room is nice. The rest of the gym is awesome. Would be nice if they did something to slow down the new memberships or open a new location to ease traffic because it’s close to impossible to get a work out in during the evening hours.

So many options to choose from! Lovin the movie theater. Haven't got to go very often but hope to In the near future!

Awesome gym! I got to try the free week pass, can't wait to get a membership. They have so much equipment, even when they are busy you can usually find the piece of equipment on the other side of the gym. Also this is the only gym I've ever been to that has plant-based protein, very awesome for someone with milk allergies!!!! Also love that the staff isn't in your face trying to sell you everything, they greet you and let you be on your way :)

This is such a great gym. There is definitely something for everyone.

So far, so good! I like that this gym is extremely affordable and offers so many perks. I do well with guidance sometimes, and there are several classes during the week to take. The staff is super friendly...and they also have a smoothie bar. Not one that has all the yucky ingredients that wind up being unhealthy (like high fructose corn syrup and massive amounts of sugar). There's even a childcare center for parents who need it. Love it.

Chuze is a great gym, wish the sauna heat settings were a bit hotter. I'm not concerned with people wearing masks or not wearing mask. I've seen staff try their best to enforce it. If you are concerned about catching covid stay home then.

This place is amazing!! Super great investment for yourself! Only downfall is you have to purchase the More membership to bring someone!! On the Premium you get all the bells and whistles except bringing a guest. They should at least have it where you can bring a guest once a week. Everyone needs a motivating friend.🤘

It takes perfection to get five stars. Nobody/nothing's perfect, so 4 stars is really good. My only real complaint: this gym is so well-loved that it's a little crowded sometimes. Just gotta find the right time to work out here.

The steam room is amazing! Love the infrared sauna and the pool is perfect. The team is friendly and the place is very clean. New equipment in excellent condition.

It's easy to come in and get out quickly. People are friendly. The facilities are clean and modern and the dressing rooms are nice. All body types are present and so I don't feel intimidated the way I felt at some other gyms.

Chuze is an incredible exercise facility. They maintain their equipment well both in cleanliness and functionality. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. All staff are welcoming and pleasant. To highlight a few people, Saxon, Evan, and Jesse always greet me by name and with a smile, they are truly amazing people. If you’re looking for a home gym with incredible facilities and even more incredible people look no further.

My experience at Chuze is exactly what I had read on the Chuze Website. The General Manager is very professional and welcoming. As I tried the seven day free trial, the Employees were very friendly and my expectations exceeded when I talked to the GM or the Employees as I felt a sense of friendship, Now I spend most of my free time at Chuze due to such a welcoming environment, plus the equipment for all your workout needs.... I would like to say thank you to the GM and his employees. Keep up the good work ladies and gentlemen.

Chuze Fitness offers great prices and many options depending on your interests. It is a busy gym, however, I never wait long at all to utilize the equipment. The classes are also amazing. I would recommend Chuze Fitness!

The gym is always clean and the staff is always very welcoming. The equipment is new and they have quite a few squat racks. Kids Club is probably the best comparing to all gyms. The staff engaged with the kids and make it fun. The gym is often busy, which makes it sometimes challenging to find an open piece of equipment.

I'm reviewing Chuze again! I had gone to PF and I didn't have a positive experience, so I went back to Chuze. I had to have surgery and my account was neglected. Needless to say when I went to sort things out I was greeted by Bryce and I explained my situation to which Kayla came by, there was no hassle, no hard time, rather kindness and understanding. Things were resolved relatively quickly and easily. Sometimes we aren't used to kindness so when it's freely given it takes you aback, by in a unexpectedly good way. Thank you Kayla and Bryce and Chuze fitness for being so awesome!

The gym is kept nice and tidy. Can be busy at times, but of course, that’s what you’d expect from any gym. The staff is always friendly and personable. With the gym offering a sauna and massage chairs, after each workout I feel rested and rejuvenated. Prices are awesome, although you do get into a contract. But again, with the prices being so good.. I’m ok with it.

I fly around a lot and use a lot of gyms. This one is a standout. WIDE selection of exceptionally high quality equipment and training methodologies, and the cleanest gym I’ve ever seen. The members seem house trained too; they use their manners and put their weights away.
