We love this place on a quiet Sunday morning. If you get there before 10 it’s not too crowded, and parking is easy. The atmosphere is very casual—you almost feel like there could be a beach nearby! Highly recommended if you want a genuine ABQ Nob Hill experience!

We were super excited to finally stop by La Waffleria, but left a little disappointed. I assume that our expectations were a bit high. The cashier attendant wasn’t rude, but was not courteous nor enthusiastic. Definitely can improve. The line wasn’t long either, so it would have been nice for her to take some time and talk to us about the menu. I asked for popular waffles and she said “plain buttermilk” 🤨. I went ahead and order them. She was unpleasant and indisposed (2/5 ⭐️). However, the server was super nice and so were the cleaning guys (5/5⭐️). My husband order the Guadalajara with buttermilk waffles. His plate was warm with the exception of the waffles. My waffles were tasty but cold (2/5 ⭐️), but the Guadalajara scramble eggs where really tasty (5/5 ⭐️). The back patio was really pleasant and we enjoyed seating outdoor at 82 degrees on a sunny day. Overall, I would rate this as a 2.5

This place is amazing. Came here on a really sad trip because my sisters human life ended. Of course you have to eat so I wanted to make sure and select good restaurants for the family. I’m gluten free so I was especially excited about the blue corn waffles. I ordered The Guadalajara with a side of bacon when we first visited. It was so good we came back for our last day breakfast and ordered the same again but with sausage on the side. Also the maple latte with a caramel drizzle. EVERYTHING was amazing. The music, staff, coffee, tea and atmosphere were great and though we didn’t sit on the patio out back it gorgeous. Thank you to the staff for being a bright spot on a emotionally charged trip.

After seeing this establishment show up on a food tour show, and how good everything looked, we had to stop by while in town. This little shop did not disappoint! It’s a shame that I’ve seen reviews where the staff fell a bit short but in our instance everyone was friendly and helpful. The other difference might be that we thoroughly went through the menu before going up to order so we didn’t have a laundry list of questions about their food, which also helps in the instance of a busy day to keep things moving. I had the goat cheese and cherry waffles and they were incredible. My partner opted for savory and went with the sausage and gravy waffle, which was also quite tasty. The latte I had with breakfast had the perfect sweetness and had a cute design eloquently etched in. As for the service, everything came out relatively quickly and we even had a gentleman swing by to ask how everything was. A top notch experience from beginning to end! If we ever find ourselves in Albuquerque again, we’ll be sure to swing by again.

The food was good. We both had the Guadalajara. It didn't disappoint. The fruit was delicious and fresh. The young lady taking our order on Friday morning Sept 17 about 11:30 , wasn't helpful. Maybe she was tired, maybe she didn't know the menu. You have 1 menu and it's behind the person taking our order. We felt rushed through the ordering process. Our first time here and we had questions they didn't have time to answer. Perhaps another menu at the entrance with a description of the food/ plate etc. The coffee was mediocre at best. It was 44 for 2 people. A bit high for breakfast. The portions were small for what we spent. Lavender waffle was dry.

First time visiting this place. I heard about it a few years back and I'm thoroughly disappointed in myself for not making more of an effort to try it sooner. The outdoor seating is spacious and the food was freshly made. Will definitely return to this wonderful little hole in the wall.

I absolutely love this little spot. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly and inviting. There's a quiet outdoor space for eating, with patio tables and umbrellas. I recommend going early for breakfast while it is still cool outside. I will definitely be coming back.

This place is wonderful. The food, the service, the (outdoor) seating, I loved all of it. I came here two days in a row while I was on vacation. When you arrive, the signs ask you to order at the counter before you claim a seat. I wasn't busy when I was there, so there was no problem with these instructions. The service is primarily at the counter, and the staff were all really friendly. Because this is a counter service restaurant, there aren't any servers to check on you. The silverware, water, napkins, etc. are all self-service. And the signs ask you to leave your dishes on the table and the staff will clean up after you. The food. Wow, the food. So delicious and so many awesome waffle creations, both savory and sweet. I'm more of a savory person so that's what I went with both times. Definitely try the chicken and waffle. The chicken is so tasty and fried to perfection. The mocha Mexicana was good as well. I can't wait to come back to this place and would highly recommend it.

Overall we enjoyed our experience. We both got a Savory Waffle and they were delicious. The lattes were good as well. Nice outdoor seating. As many of the other reviews mention, the woman that took our order was impatient and rather snooty. The wait staff were sweet and helpful though and made our experience better.

Waffles are absolutely delicious. The kids loved them. The menu can a be a little overwhelming with the amount of options. We asked for suggestions. The recommendation was the Rancheros and Blue Lavender . My wife and I enjoyed both. We arrived right after they opened and good thing we did because they got quite busy after we ordered and we were waiting for our food.

Well we’ll a new spot in the UNM area. (To me anyway) the amount of goodness here can be overwhelming. FOOD: we had 1. Goat cheese blueberry waffle wit two eggs 10 out of 10 (if you like goad cheese) 2. Blue lavender waffle w/side of chicken 10 out of 10 to her 3. Strawberries and cream waffle. With green chili turkey sausage. And yes 10 out of 10! The line was about 10m of getting vitamin D. Then 5 more minutes inside. The line was worth the wait. The regular coffee is a light roast but is very smooth on the pelt. The service getting your food is faster then standing in line so it was SOOO worth it! Smile as your waiting and make a new Friend.

The service was great, love the atmosphere, super dog friendly, and a lot of spaces to sit (outside mostly)! Love this place! And my favorite is the excellent coffee options, great barista and choices! My fav is the Lavendar latte!!

It's a waffle house in the campus of Albuquerque school, you'll realize how popular it is when you see that they arrange their seats out on the street 😁 We ordered their signature Chicken and Waffles as the savory dishes, plus Fried Banana as the sweet dish. Honestly, was not impressed by the taste, but still will come again to sit outside, and enjoy the lovely Sunday morning sunshine shower.

I've been to Tia B's about five times and try to avoid writing reviews on a single visit as quality and experience can fluctuate at smaller restaurants. Unfortunately a trend that I have noticed is that the quality consistency decreased from visit to visit. To illustrate this point I've attached two pictures of the "Blue Lavender Waffles". The one served in a single briquette is from today's visit. The other example is from about 6 months ago. Given it's a 13$ waffle it's not unreasonable to expect better plating. The flavor also seems to have suffered. The lavender whipped cream was deflated and cloying and the waffle was dry and gritty. A dramatic decline in quality. I never enjoy posting negative reviews but losing a favorite brunch spot in the UNM area absolutely sucks.

Had some really great traditional waffles and some more eclectic ones. Would recommend the Rancheros. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Delicious and unique flavors. You can get sweet or savory waffles, as well as different types of waffles themselves (blue corn, etc.). I ordered the cherry and goat cheese and it tasted like cheesecake. My friend ordered the lavender blue corn waffles. I wasn’t a fan of the texture of the blue corn waffles, but the lavender was unique and tasty! I’ll definitely be going again!

Delicious savory waffle! Got blue corn for my batter, vegan sausage, goat cheese, avocado, calabacitas, and the mexican creme that is slightly spicy but very yummy. Their basic iced tea is delicious without sugar.

The waffles were great. Not sure I would spend 13 to 14. 00 one a waffle that is half an inch thick. I tried the Santa Fe or State fair. You can have fruit if you font want e inches of whip cream
