Really REALLY great vibes, awesome chunky green chili with the spicy kick one would expect from New Mexico. The flour tortilla is bigger than the whole city haha. Highly recommend getting food here outside of the meal time rush because the long waits are indicative to how good this place is.

BEST RED CHILE!! I love love this place. You can't go wrong with anything you order but the blue corn cheese enchiladas with potatoes is my absolute FAVORITE!! And of course you have to order a hand made flour tortilla with butter.

This place will always be my favorite breakfast spot in Albuquerque. Granted, They've have a long wait for a table but the food is quick and the service is amazing. Definetly better than Durans Station on Menaul. The tortillas are the best here and the coffee was incredible. Also the mimosas cannot be beat.

Amazing. We were told about this place by a long time resident, it is a must try. There was a wait but we are so glad we did not leave. We walked around and browsed the pharmacy which is wonderful. We had the flat enchilada and an apple empanada for dessert. Wow some of the best Mexican food we have ever had. Fresh ingredients abd freshly made. Don’t forget to order the tortillas with butter. The waitress was amazing very friendly and best advice on the menu. Don’t pass this place up.

Here from Dallas invited here with some friends that live in the area..the staff is awesome. I know they put Chile on everything here but it overpower the meal unfortunately was unable to enjoy it. The store has some great items you can buy and other than an a comfy atmosphere it was ok

This place is the spot. It's tiny and everyone wants to eat here, so either plan to wait or come at an off time. If you're curious, come alone and singles can usually cut through the list quick. The pharmacy/shop itself is pretty cool so there's plenty to stuff to look around at whole you wait. The menu is small and pretty typical New Mexican diner fare - enchiladas, breakfast burrito, carne adovada, Frito pie, etc. I had the breakfast enchiladas (formerly secret but now listed on the wall 😂) with a side of breakfast sauce, and OF COURSE a tortilla side. First, the tortilla. You have to do it if your meal doesn't come with one. It's $1.60 extra and may be the best flour tortilla I've ever had. It's cooked fresh, and it's thick like bread. Almost like naan thickness. And it's a phenomenal way up scoop up all that egg and red Chile leftover on your plate. Must-have. The breakfast sausage patties, oddly enough, were also a highlight. They had a slight char to them which I liked and weren't overwhelming in saltiness or that 'bfast meat" heaviness. Went great went dipped in the red Chile. Speaking of the red Chile, it's really solid. Very smooth and well seasoned. Not salty but spiced, and not horribly spicy, and very little bitterness. Thickened too, which I love. Just right. The eggs and enchiladas were also solid. The blue tortillas were nice, I almost could have just had the enchiladas plate without the eggs. The potatos were fine but not a main focus for me. Texture of chunk mashed potatoes, but only with cheese, no seasoning. Not bad with the red Chile, but not a main part for me. Overall, this place has tons of character and is a great spot. The food is solid, especially the tortilla which is a must-have.

One of the most consistently good, authentic, New Mexican restaurants in town. Our server, Dave, was a bloody legend. He was genuinely Interested in our opinions of their new in house beer, and basically our spirit guide to the menu. He highly recommended the tostada special but honestly nothing on the menu will disappoint. We cannot wait to come back again and enjoy another meal.

The best sopaipilla I have had in YEARS! Excellent traditional New Mexican food in a charming retro diner. Homemade tortillas too! The breakfast burrito was huge and the tamales are delicious. The attached pharmacy and gift shop is so fun and a perfect way to kill time while you’re waiting for a table. You will have to wait 😉

Wouldn't recommend... for the hype the restaurant was terrible. I got the blue corn tacos and chicken burrito. The burrito was huge but it was poorly assembled. It tasted like they boiled chicken and beans without any spices and added them to a grocery store tortilla. Then it was topped with huge pieces of lettuce. The flavor didn't match at all. I brought it home to eat later that night, it does not reheat. Terrible. The only good thing was the chips, you had to buy them.

The breakfast was phenomenal!! Very good green chili and tender carne adovada. The homemade tortillas were also to DIE for. You can also do some shopping while you wait to eat. Definitely will be back!

Got the enchilada plate this weekend with an egg. Christmas of course! Such a good breakfast after a morning of golfing. Always get the tortilla! They are heavenly especially with that butter. I could eat those all day!

Duran’s is a must if you are in Albuquerque. Superb food and service. Can get a little busy so be prepared to wait for greatness. Huevos rancheros is a staple dish and does not disappoint. Hard to choose if the red or green chili is better, so go with Christmas! I recommend paying the extra $ to have the corn tortillas added to HR plate. Steamed potatoes beans are also very good.

What a hidden gem! Phenomenal authentic NM food. I’ve eaten here twice and it never disappointed. The pharmacy it’s connected to is full of cool gifts, some even locally made. Would highly recommend!

My family and I love Durans! The food is great, the chile is usually nice and hot(spice), the staff is so friendly and efficient, and even if there is a wait it is always worth it (and you can shop the great store in the meantime. It is my favorite local place to buy gifts). I enjoy sitting at the counter and watching the cooks. The kitchen is always very clean and they make the food fast.

Thank you KIRK for a great meal and for adding Mommy’s enchiladas to go! I haven’t been since 2005 ish. Will be back sooner than that. A+++ all the way to all the staff. Work together like a fine oiled machine.

a piece of history and really good! large portions of delicious New Mexican food, good service. the green chile enchiladas come in a stack, just the way I like them!

The burrito SMOTHERED with Chile was the best burrito I’ve ever had. We didn’t even order any meat inside the burrito. The tortilla was soft and fluffy and absorbed the Chile sauce. The egg was also soft and very savory. The potato was not fried but cooked to perfection. And the Chile sauce. How do I begin. We ordered both red and green Chile. They were blended to a smooth texture and gently coated every piece of the burrito, elevating the flavor to cloud nine! I’m gonna be thinking about this burrito a lot when I go back to California

Loved it! Stuffed Sopapilla was yummy! Wait was about 45 minutes, but fun place to shop!

Duran’s always hits the spot! I usually get the huevos rancheros with a side of sausage, but today I went with the pork tamale plate and it was just as good. I recommend getting the entire plate smothered. Part of why I love Duran’s is because it is always consistent and the service is always great. Week days seem to be a little less crowded and the patio is nice if you like it a little less noisy. Highly recommend this place for a New Mexico breakfast or lunch.

Duran Pharmacy is a hidden gem tucked into a small, special corner of 'Burque' packed with surprises. Not only a first rate medical pharmacy staffed by consulting professionals, it's medical supplements & supplies are surrounded by local NM & worldwide arts, crafts, games, & books in a visually stunning gift shop stuffed with delightful treasures. The restaurant is a local favorite with most excellent traditional NM food such as my favorites, stacked enchiladas with an egg on top, frito pie, & guacamole salad. I've been a very contented customer for decades.
