(Updated) I LOVE the atmosphere, aesthetic & vibes here. They have delicious vegan drinks and food. My favorites are the iced dark chocolate latte & the vegan burrito. The staff is friendly and inviting. They know about vegan and vegetarian dietary restrictions, so just ask! You can study, meet up with friends for a drink (they serve coffee, tea, lemonades, wine and beers), have Sunday brunch! They also do events like poetry night, yoga, Jazz Brunch (my favorite), art walk, Sunday vendors, game night, drag shows and so much more!

We were feeling enthusiastic to eat breakfast here! New to us. Decor is cool and bright. Love the music that was playing. The girl who took our order was nice. She was new to the breakfast shift. I ordered a breakfast sandwich with sausage and green chile with a side of hash browns. My partner ordered the pancakes and coffees. The cashier couldn’t find the key for breakfast sandwich. Manager said they probably took it off the menu but they had the ingredients to make it. We got our coffees and proceeded to the sweetners. The little bucket labeled Splenda was filled with Equal (pink package). I asked attendant if they had Splenda and she said yes the pink package was Splenda. I told her it wasn’t the same but she said it was. It isn’t and I mentioned that to her. I don’t like saccharine but used it anyway. It would be nice if they offered Splenda or Stevia. We received our food. My sandwich came with bacon and no chile. The bun was cold. It could have been toasted. I ordered with sausage and green chile. The hash browns are cubed fried potatoes and they were very salty. Instead of fixing me a new sandwich they brought out a sausage patty and green chile. My partner said the pancakes were ok. A little on the mushy side. The one plus was that the coffee was good. The manager never came over to see how we were doing. She had this sour look on her face. She saw us entering and leaving and never acknowledged us. It was an overall disappointing experience. I had high hopes but sadly will not be returning.

Buds and Beans is a gem of a LGBTQ owned business. Located at the former Wine Dive downtown bar, they've fully transformed the old set up into a sprawling CafΓ© complete with sloths πŸ¦₯ πŸ˜€ πŸ‘Œ on display (ok--not real ones...Silly!) 😳 Utilizing the clover POS system, they provide quick and easy payment methods, making ordering a breeze. My first visit was during small business Saturday. There were different artist vendors and I was blessed to enjoy live music with Brian Schonerd and the Secret 7 duo. The Chai tea came in a to go cup and I had a breakfast burrito which was hands and feet down the best I've ever had. Toasted tortilla and all the yummiest stuffed inside. I returned the next day for part 2 of small business Sunday and enjoyed their brunch menu (Belgium Waffle) and crispy bacon. I loved it. Didn't eat all of tye tots that came with it. But the overall atmosphere was cozy and spacious. The ceilings are super tall. The restrooms are gender neutral. The hot chocolate is delicious. As expected, there were more customers on Sunday vs. Saturday. So plan your outing to enjoy all that this standout CafΓ© has to offer. And boy do they have a lot to choose from. Check out their online menu and say hi to Taj (their gen. manager) if you see her. Hope that's how she spells her name.

I was very excited about this place since I live across the street. Beautiful interior, great vibes. Disappointed with breakfast burrito. $10 for a small burrito, minimum meat and cold tortilla. Will be back to try other items but just not the place for breakfast burritos. REVISED: Contacted by owner, refunded my burrito, great customer service, will be back. Changed 3 stars to 5 stars.

Just popped in from the west coast and this place was a stone throw from the train station. Wonderful staff and tasty food. The atmosphere is delectable! Sloths are the motif with big open windows and seating. A great place to chill and slow down time!

Fun little spot with great coffee and food. The fried chicken sandwich is absolutely massive. So much food for your money. Wonderful spot to meet up with friends and grab a beer. They have a shelf where they encourage you to leave a book or grab a book and right next to it: leave a plant grab a plant, which I had never seen before. There's a small performance space. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

Food portions were great. Only a few items to choose from, though. Guest didn't eat due to this Only complaint, it was so quiet. Packed on a Sunday and you could tell people were hesitant to talk because everyone could hear what you were saying. The vendors even had earphones on. Table next to us got up and left when we started having a conversation. Won't dine in again. Makes you want to hurry up , eat, and leave.

I love this place! It’s a bright and welcoming oasis in downtown ABQ, just around the corner from the train station. The food and service was excellent (a vegan burrito recommended by the counter server). My burrito was delicious and enough for two meals. The vibe was whimsical, laid back, yet elegant and cool without being overly trendy or bougie. I will be a regular here!

I like the size and layout of this coffee shop but the clientele is a bit sus. The food was good and it seems like everyone took the cashiers recommendation on the french toast cuz everyone had it. I dont recommend the chai if you are a spiced chai lover but the options for cocoa were good. The atmosphere was nice when you arent being stared down and they have vegan options.

Everyone is always so kind and I absolutely love the atmosphere! It would be a great place to study, go on a date, or spend time alone. There's boardgames too! I've brought a few friends and my husband already and they loved it. They even have a little give a plant, take a plant section. I highly recommend visiting. It would seem there are other regulars too.

We were in town for a party and need some coffee the day after. Buds and Beans was near our hotel. We stopped in and got a tea and coffee. The staff was very friendly. The coffee was Good, and tasted just as good drinking the leftovers the next morning. They have a shelf of games and books.

The inside of the shop is so beautiful! Super tall ceilings and natural greenery everywhere. We got the classic cheeseburger and a lavender latte and a mocha latte. That was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time, and the drinks are perfect! They had a wall of board games, which was great, so my toddler could play with the Jenga blocks. Restrooms are super cute in the business is LGBTQ friendly πŸ’™

This is an amazing sloth-themed cafΓ© and meeting space. You'll love the sloth theme and the comfortable atmosphere and the delicious confections and coffee. The staff is courteous and kind. This is a definite must-see if you're in the area.

Went to get breakfast was looking for avocado toast and was told they weren't serving food today. Also they do not accept Apple Pay. So I wasted my time driving down here. Super cute inside, if you can buy anything not worth coming. May try again another day only if I'm in the area. And I'll update review accordingly at that time.

So I was in downtown ABQ for lunch and afterwards I just happened by this coffee shop and I am glad I did. It is LGBTQIA owned and operated. Right now it is just a coffee shop with food items, they will soon get their alcohol license and will be serving beer and wine. It is very pleasant and open/airy with lots of big windows to look out of and natural sunlight streaming in. It also has lots of pride decorations up right now for pride month. Also the staff is very friendly. β™₯οΈπŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ

This is an amazing, inclusive place that welcomes all identities and people. The food is delicious, and the menu rotates. That hosted events are are fun and interesting. The staff are friendly, funny and engaging. Also the atmosphere and decor is relaxing and tasteful in a modern way. Bud and beans is one of my favorite locations to sit down and enjoy a latte, or lunch. Cannot recommend enough. You will not be disappointed.

Great atmosphere, and the muffins are arguably the best in the city. Great people too. I love the place! I like the events on some Sundays also.

Seriously loving this place! The atmosphere is super cool and unique! Love the Sunday jazz brunch and also that we can chill and do computer work. The drinks are delicious (definitely recommend the creamsicle tea latte with black tea added) as well as the avocado toast. Looking forward to coming here more as it’s really got everything! The staff is wonderful too. All around a great addition to downtown!

This place is a hidden gem, so adorable, and really kind staff. The high ceilings, the game wall, a ton of plants and a million clinches to lounge on.
