Slapfish has gone down hill. We gave slack during COVID and quality would vary but this last visit is the end of our love of Slapfish on Paseo. Of course prices have gone up, like everywhere else but portions have gotten less and less and now they give like 10 fries with the fish and chips when it used to be a whole bowl! One of us got the grilled fish and one got the “blackened”. They were exactly the same and had some kind of sauce on it and it was still very dry and bland. My husband ordered the slaw instead of fries which took three asks before finally coming out and it was just a bowl of (felt frozen)red cabbage and mayo. Staff was apathetic, glad there was at least some toilet paper sitting on top of the toilet.. but bathrooms were gross and not stocked at all. It was not a busy Saturday night either. So sad :(

I don’t do reviews until I eat more then twice. So here we go, this is a local business so I try hard to support local. First the staff: with no doubt the staff is fast to say HI, fast to throw out the foray smile. Now the food: I have been to uptown and Holly and both have this burger I can’t stop eating. SURF N TURF BURGER (hungry) you better be because this burger will dominate that gut with flavor! BAM your not hungry! Now the SHRIMP ROll is large n in charge. The clam chowder was yummy. Bring a wet towel with you lol Come in hungry leave wobbly 🕺🏽

Slapfish changed the menu and it's not better. Ordered the epic shrimp burrito and it came without shrimp. They replaced the burrito with one with shrimp but forgot to blacken. Their salad before was delicious with a light, yummy citrus dressing but now there is no lettuce and the salad is served with rice, sweet potatoes and one slice of avocado. They also removed the tasty pickled radish. Use to go monthly at a minimum and recommend to others...

Our waiter, Zy, was exceptional in every way. They were not only incredibly attentive but also remarkably quick in serving our meals. Their friendly demeanor made our dining experience all the more enjoyable, and their willingness to assist with the menu choices was greatly appreciated. Their personable nature added a personal touch to our visit. Without a doubt, a solid 5-star service! I can’t wait to go again!

Multiple types of natural sodas on tap and a good local beer selection. I had the power bowl and my friend had the lobster roll and both were freaking awesome!

I rate this place a 5/5 stars because every time I go I’m greeted with the best customer service and the food is delicious. Everything is exquisite and I’m super picky so that says a lot. You can tell the food is very articulated and the palate there is simply devine. Being in New Mexico it’s hard to find a place with good tasting fish, this place exceeds all expectations. All I have to say is GO, GO NOW. You won’t regret it.

I was disappointed with the meals purchased. This was my first experience and I was excited to try something that is not in Michigan. The menu looked very pleasing. I ordered the lobster roll. I was not impressed. It was extremely dry and not very warm, as requested. The bread was a little dark and hard. My sister requested extra butter and still hers was dry. We spent $138.00 for a meal that tasted sub par. My brother’s salad was half filled with ingredients, although, he had a large piece of fish…happy for the meat. The tacos were not very pleasing either as reported by my other brother. Glad to try something new but never will eat there or any other Slapfish again!!! PS- we had our meal delivered.

Everything was spot on. Really delicious fresh tasting fish. You place your order at the counter and it's then delivered to your table. They have several daily fish selections which you can have built into a bowl, a salad, or a sandwich and you get to pick a side and how your selection is prepared. They offer several tasty appetizers as well as specialty dishes. One of the great things about this place is they serve local beer on tap. Comparatively priced to other seafood joints. I was happy with the quality and the service.

Place isn't the cleanest restaurant I've ever eaten in comma there's a lot of wear and tear in this joint from the excessive cleaning over the last few years but it's something they can recover. Service and food were fantastic, got a giant fish taco for lunch and it was plenty along with the shrimp cocktail I shared with my son and a friend. Made sure to ask them for some of their five alarm or whatever they call it cocktail sauce as I love the Heat and it wasn't anything much more impressive than the regular cocktail sauce. I will definitely come back.

Fish and chips were The Best!!!! The batter was light and flaky fish was perfectly cooked and the fries had a seasoning that made me keep coming back for more crispy but yet soft center texture. I and my mom,dad were Impressed.Thank you for a great lunch!

The staff were super friendly and helpful and the food was very good. Lobster taquitos were particularly tasty. Entrees were fish and chips, fish tacos, and a poke bowl, and nothing disappointed!

This place used to be one of my favorite places to eat. They’ve been “franchised” out. The delicious Tractor soda is gone and has been replaced by BORING Coca-Cola products. I ordered the epic shrimp burrito. The cashier rang it up wrong as a shrimp roll. My son and wife got their food within about 20 minutes and then it took them another 30 minutes to get my burrito out. The shrimp was over-cooked and way over-battered. I think that it was more batter than shrimp! They didn’t have the same sauce over the burrito and the presentation was nothing like it used to be. During that 30 minute wait they managed to get a few other table’s food out. I used to be a chef. If you mess up and order, you RUSH to fix it and get it out so the whole table can enjoy the meal together. The cashier tried to apologize and it was really weird. She even asked what my toddler son’s name was. Who does that?! Totally bizarre. Luckily, they refunded me for their mess up. Only my entree, but I’ll take it. The problem? All cash. So not only did they mess up the service and the food, but I also have an errand to run now to put the cash in the ATM. I didn’t even really care about the money anyways… I just wanted the quality of food that they’ve always had. That’s what matters. Overall, I am very disappointed and we won’t be returning. They took everything that was good about it and made it mediocre.

THEY HAVE A NEW CREW!! There's three of us in a family. Everything is made to order. We know that. They had a shortage on fries tonight!?? The hostess/cashier/server was excellent on finding options to satisfy each customer. The choices made for us was acceptable. Everything was perfect👍

Brought the family in to try the joint and it was incredible. We were met with such a warm welcome from the both the front and back of the house. The restaurant wasn't too busy at the time. We had ordered 3 Fish and chip Sandwiches, an extra order of fries, clam chowder, and some of the Lobster Taquitos. All of which were incredible and delicious. Compliments to Chef Michael in the back. Then they have this tea that is absolutely perfect to wash down the great food. After awhile of enjoying the experience. The GM, Romeo, came to our table and we had a good conversation about the food and how everything we had was made and where the tea is from. He was very informative, attentive, and kind. He even refilled our drinks for us at this one-and-done type of restaurant. All in all, the entire experience was very pleasant from start to finish and would recommend it to anyone. We will definitely be back to try some of their other options. Thanks again Romeo and staff.

Ordered fish and chips. Was really good but they forgot to include the sauce. So we my husband had the shrimp sandwich with no sauce. The price was okay two items cost us around $31 dollars.

Im glad I found this place. You can get a healthy good lunch at a good price. The food was good, the lady at the front was kind and helpful. If you're looking for something different than burgers and burritos, this is a great change of pace!

Always one of my favorites for seafood in town, I get the epic shrimp burrito. Restaurant is always clean, staff is polite and helpful and great quality food. I am not a soda fan and they have the best sodas. They are always fast with our order even during the pandemic we got great service. Will be back

Yummy fresh fish with fast, friendly service. The parking lot is busy during lunch with so many restaurants in one area, but it's definately worth the stop. Poke bowl was delicious! Highly recommend.

I was looking for something other than fast food to get. I wasn't sure what to expect but it is very good! Had the lobster shrimp roll with French fries. Both have a bit of spice. Bread was fresh and fries are good.

Went on a Saturday afternoon and they weren't too busy. The cashier really helped us through deciding what we wanted and was friendly and knowledgeable about what they served and the flavors of the food. The starters arrived very quickly and the the food arrived shortly after. Overall, a great experience and delicious food.

Really fresh seafood at fair pricing. I tried this week for the first time and was very pleasantly surprised. Various seafood of constantly varying types flown in daily and Eric was more than happy to tell us about each of them. Multiple types of natural sodas on tap and a good local beer selection. I had the power bowl and my friend had the lobster roll and both were freaking awesome! Give it a shot and I think you will be glad you did.

Great quality seafood, lovely atmosphere and fantastic customer service! As someone who is trying to incorporate more fish into my diet, I'm very picky about seafood as I'm not a fan of the fishy taste that usually comes with it. The food here is so fresh! The lobster rolls are to die for and they have a variety of ways to cook the fish to your liking. Definitely looking forward to eating here again and again!
