This hotel is VERY old and outdated. The rooms are dingy and shower small and tight. They need to revamp badly. The check in staff are friendly and accommodating. But the Concierge team are horrible and pointless being there. I asked a few times for assistance and they were unable to help. There were two men working concierge chatting and I was waiting for 10 minutes for them to assist me. I had to break up there conversation in order to get assistance. Shocking! The concierge team need to be reevaluated.

Best breakfast ever! Excellent service and great variety. Mohamed Hassan offers a wonderful service and ensures high customer service always aiming to please. Would definitely recommend and will be back again. Hotel location is great, only downside is that the rooms are fairly small and a little dated. We were four in a double room and it was a bit small for us especially the double beds for 2!

Beautiful hotel. Great location. Amazing Nile view. Very cozy and warm vibe. Service was very friendly and exceptional at all levels. Excellent late night snack with lovely live music in a warm and hospitable atmosphere. Our server Mohamed Atef in tea garden was great! I would definitely stay again.

Amazing service and food! Honestly a great buffet breakfast at the restaurant Night & Day. Our host was Ahmed Salah who was unbelievably hospitable and made sure we were happy and comfortable with our breakfast experience. I would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic 5-star breakfast and thank you to Salah for an excellent service! However, the hotel is old and needs upgrading especially the rooms. The mattress had a stain on it and the street noise too loud at night (maybe quieter if room was facing the Nile). Excellent location as next to the Nile and central to Cairo city. For location and breakfast 4-5 stars for room quality 3-stars.

We had an amazing stay and all around experience here! Natalia from the lobby was so helpful through out our three day stay and made sure we had everything we needed. The restaurants at the hotel were also great - especially the Italian one! We also ate breakfast at the hotel every morning, which was way better than your average hotel breakfast. We also booked the Pyramids of Giza tour through the hotel, which was magnificent! In addition, they gave us recommendations for restaurants and shopping through out our time. Highly recommend the stay!

Great Christmas day brunch. The food was amazing and really tasty. The service from all the waiting staff and chefs was impeccable. A special thanks to Mohammed and Hanna who made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. 4/5 because there was not that many vegetarian options but the options I did have were great and they made me fresh vegetarian sushi when I requested it. Thank you to all the team for making our Christmas day a wonderful one!

I had an amazing experience at the grill restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, with each dish bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was delightful, creating a warm and inviting ambiance that made the dining experience truly enjoyable. I would like to extend a special thank you to Walid, our host, for his exceptional hospitality. His attentiveness and friendly demeanor truly enhanced our visit. I can't wait to return for another delightful meal!

My recent stay at the Intercontinental Hotel in Cairo was a delightful experience that left a lasting impression on me. Situated in the heart of downtown Cairo, the hotel's convenient location made it easy for me to explore the city's vibrant culture and historical landmarks. Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed by the hotel staff ( Natalia) , who exuded professionalism and hospitality. The check-in process was swift, and I was soon escorted to my room, which boasted modern amenities and a stunning view of the bustling city below. Throughout my stay, the customer service at the Intercontinental was exceptional. The staff members were attentive to my needs and went out of their way to ensure that I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Whether it was providing recommendations for local attractions, arranging transportation, or accommodating special requests, the staff's dedication to guest satisfaction was evident in every interaction. The hotel's facilities were impressive, including a well-equipped fitness center, a relaxing spa, and several dining options serving delicious Egyptian and international cuisine. I particularly enjoyed dining at the rooftop restaurant, where I savored panoramic views of the city skyline while enjoying a delectable meal. One highlight of my stay was the hotel's concierge service, which helped me plan a memorable day trip to the nearby Pyramids of Giza and the Egyptian Museum. The concierge provided invaluable insights and assistance, making my visit to these iconic attractions truly unforgettable. In conclusion, my experience at the Intercontinental Hotel in Cairo was nothing short of wonderful. The combination of attentive service, comfortable accommodations, and strategic location made my stay in Cairo a memorable one. I would highly recommend this hotel to travelers looking for a sophisticated and welcoming stay in the heart of Egypt's capital city.

We had a lovely stay here as a family! The hotel was very clean and the service was amazing. Ahmed Salah at breakfast made us feel at home and provided us exceptional service by attending to all our needs in a prompt and friendly manner. The food was super delicious and the staff provided good recommendations. I would highly suggest coming here for a stay no matter your lifestyle, but the hotel is certainly lively and full of a range of ethnicities, culture and family dynamics/groups. Plenty of nightlife as we are right downtown as well!

The reviews of others are generally acceptable. The staff understandably polite and professional! WE SPECIFICALLY PICKED THIS HOTEL BECAUSE THEY SAID THE WOULD HONOR OUR early morning request to check in as our flight from Toronto was to land at 6 AM! We contacted the hotel 3 times before Toronto and was assured for us by our travel agent “done”. We arrived at the hotel and they had no record. We ended up roaming the streets until 12 noon until a room became available… we were assured a recently renovated room. The linens were fabulous The rest of the room and the bathroom were dated with visible attempted repairs. The complimentary shower items all leaked when trying to use them. I know these are all petty items, but it’s these small overlooked items that fine tune the customer experience. As well, stay away from the cafe. The non alcoholic items are 75% higher than the outside. At the breakfast we had to ask for Turkish coffee twice only to be told it takes too long to make and the staff are busy 🙈

This hotel is simply amazing. The rooms are clean, the staff are so friendly, literally everyone I encountered were so nice. I loved the restaurants at the hotel. I stayed here as a solo female traveller for 5 days and felt 100% safe. Would definitely recommend.

We had a night out at the Italian restaurant in the hotel, the food was okay. Kind of a hit and miss with their alcoholic cocktails but the overall service is amazing and the staff is some of the best to deal with which I think is the best thing about the place. I appreciate the effort that both Mr. Amr and Mr. Mahmoud did to make sure that my one year old son is taken care of which made our experience a lot less stressful and actually enjoyable. Will definitely come again, but their cocktails needs to have some alcohol in them. 🤷🏼

We had a relaxing, delightful stay and particularly loved the magnificent view as the sun set, the city lights ignited, and the contrasting colors intensified over the Nile with the Giza pyramids in the distance. The hotel is clean and comfortable, very tastefully decorated, and conveniently located within walking distance to numerous interesting Cairo venues. The staff are thoughtful and helpful. Overall, we had a great experience and look forward to staying here again.

For me, a trip to Cairo is a great cultural and moral experience. hotel rooms are large, clean, although their best years are behind them. Despite the room on the 18th floor, you can clearly hear the street - but this is independent of the hotel, only from the huge traffic and the constant use of the horn by drivers. very extensive breakfast - delicious juices. a restaurant serving Italian cuisine is located on the second floor. Very extensive protection. The swimming pool is located on the roof of the 3rd floor with a very large terrace.

This was one of the best dining experience I've ever had! The service from the serving staff was exceptional, especially from Adel and team. Highly recommend this restaurant, go and try. The ambiance, view, food, and service was great. However, I'm not sure if it bothers others, but for such a nice restaurant to basically allow smoking inside, is a little difficult to bear. So if I have to deduct a point, it'd be on that.

We had the worst experience in the Intercontinental. The customer service is horrendous and the management didn't listen to our complaints. If you are a tourist, you can forget about it, they won't help you at all. Dirty rooms, and no heating at all. When we went to the reception they didn't do absolutely anything, and it was December, when the nights are cold and the heating is needed. In theory, the hotel has 5 stars, but the service and installation aren't more than 3 stars. We felt completely cheated. I will never stay here again, I will choose the Ritz or the Hinton they are close by.

Many reviews indicated the Semiramis has seen better days. I disagree with those sentiments. The hotel is still nice and clean, and the service is superior. I had a room with views of the Nile and the bridge. Everyday someone left a nice treat like a cake, or fresh fruit in my room for my evening enjoyment. Someone delivered ice immediately when requested. We had room service, and they arrive on time each time. The food was good for room service and the restaurants. Our time at the Semiramis was amazing. Cudos to the entire staff.

Excellent service by waiter Ramadan, polite and very helpful. He was responsive to requests for additional items, organized, and able to manage a crowded breakfast room without loosing sight of each guest's needs. Thank you for your service, Ramadan.

Great trip to Cairo. It was welcome to have a nice to hotel to retreat to after a long day of sightseeing. Staff was great and it was an enjoyable stay! Quick edit - I also visited the gym after writing this review and was very impressed. They have full dumbbells up to 80# and most pieces of equipment found in a commercial gym. If you plan on working on on your trip you’ll be able to get a good one here!

Ramadan looked after us at the Night and Day restaurant. He was fantastic. Highly recommended. We had breakfast there. So nice to east local food rather than boring sweet Western stuff. Ask him to make you a coffee - it has a lovely hint of cardamon.

I have been staying for 4 nights for a business trip at InterContinental Cairo Semiramis , the staff are really nice and helpful and really hospitable. They make you feel special as soon as you step in. I will highly recommend it to stay while in Cairo. A special mention to Salah-Eldin who manage the housekeeping in a professional way and always looked after cleaning our room to an exceptional level and always friendly when meeting him in the lobby at morning

Ramadan at the night and day restaurant is super friendly and helpful. We had a great breakfast time with him. Thumb up 👍 Tried the Pane Vino Italian restaurant at night, the food were awesome and I would like to recommend the pawn pizza which is the signature dish here! The night view of Nile is amazing. All staff are super friendly and nice. Being taken care of the whole stay 😊😊😊

We had a great stay with our family at this hotel. In terms of amenities, they provide everything that you request. Hotel is 30 minutes from the airport. Shuttle service is about 50 euros. There is tight security at the entrance which was relieving. The service was great all along except during breakfast, we were asked to rate the service even before we experienced it. Birdcage, Nile Terrace, Tea Room and the spa had excellent service and I highly recommend them. The rooms are decent and cleaned daily. Location overlooks the Nile and so you can dine in with a sunset view.

Nashaat was wonderful at breakfast! So attentive, and the service and food were wonderful. The view of the Nile with your morning coffee is incomparable. Always a pleasure staying at the intercontinental Semiramis. It is our family’s second home away from home while in Egypt. Top notch service and beautiful rooms throughout. Will always be back.

One of greatest hotels in Cairo. Birdcage restaurant is one of the best Asian restaurants I enjoyed in my life. Just have been here for the second time. Very good food, always well presented and tasty. Excellent service, with a special thank to Mohamud, always present and taking care of us. Nothing more to add. Just a very special place. Many many thanks. Will come back many times for sure!

Amazing hotel, with great rooftop and great gym. However, we had a waiter asking us mid-lunch to rate them 5 stars, and we had a big upset with the breakfast as they sent us in the upstairs restaurant to get breakfast as it’s supposed to be the same (it’s not, if they told you so just wait and go downstairs as you have a bit more choice and the bread is freshly made). I would recommend the hotel any day!

We had dinner at the Italian restaurant Pane Vino and it was amazing. The place very relaxing and the attention immaculate. We were attended by Mina, which was very polite and attentive. What we ordered was delicious, both the raviolis and the chicken pasta. It’s for sure we will come back for more over our stay.

Sedki also, was always read to fill out our glasses and looking around to take our dinner enjoyable! For sure, coming to Cairo again I will be back for the Semiramis Grill at the Intercontinental! Many thanks!

The ambience, food and service at The Grill was fantastic. It was a special way to unwind after full days of sightseeing and buffet meals. It is clear why the seafood bisque and beef short-ribs are specialties of the house. The presentation ofnthe latter was beautiful and the taste aligned. A big thank you to the staff and especially my server Adel for being very attentive and providing excellent service and conversation.

The hotel is clean and shiny, and the Nile view is great. My only concern is that it is already 5:30 pm and I am still waiting for my room to be ready, after being told "your room will be ready in 45 minutes" three times. I complained to the manager after the second time and was told that the non-smoking preference and bed type are not guaranteed. Are you seriously placing non-smokers in a smoking room at a 5-star hotel? PS. I have to admit that I got the right room 20 minutes after writing this review.

First time in Cairo, my friend and I enjoyed staying here. The room was Nile river view and most of the amenities were excellent. The service in the hotel was nothing less than 5 stars. The food was incredible every meal. They are very accommodating and very helpful in absolutely everything we needed. I would definitely stay here again every time we are in town. The view from the hotel room is breath taking and the sunsets are the most special time of the day. Mr Hanna and Mr Mohamed Hassan were very kind and very accommodative and their service was incredible. Thank you very much for everything!

The hotel is old and not maintained well. I stayed here for 4 nights in two different rooms. The toilet is very old with bath tub instead of shower. Their service is good. They have a charge of 15$ per night for parking. I’d give it 4 stars instead of 5. The restaurant in the lobby is very bad and expensive for the quality of food and service. The breakfast was average. I don’t recommend it for families at all. The lobby is full with bad people and the smell of smoking is everywhere.

The Intercontinental is one of my favorites in the local Cairo area for overall amenities. It is an excellent hotel, with fantastic spa and gym services. My wife and I loved the Semiramis spa package. Shout out to the staff as they are always friendly and accommodating.

Great food, nice common areas, and comfortable beds. But the hotel is in need of general maintenance and the rooms could be updated. You will notice many little details in your room and in the hotel that are dirty or damaged. But that is not the worst part. The service at this "5-star" hotel is worse than most lesser quality hotels I have stayed at. The wait staff is inattentive, the reception is slow, and the housekeeping don't do a great job cleaning. We frequently found stains and gunk stuck on our clean dishes when we ate at the on-site restaurants. When we arrived there was hairs on our bed and in the bathtub. Our non-smoking room smelled of stale smoke. We also hired a driver for our group of 4 with seven suitcases directly from the hotel. When our car arrived it was a small sedan and we had to wait 20 minutes from them to send another car. This was our first time in Egypt so we are not sure if these deficiencies are unique to our stay, or common problems with hotels in Cairo. But if we return to Cairo we will likely select another hotel before returning to this one.

I really appreciated the service they had prepared for me in this hotel. The people there were incredibly kind. There was a lot of good features there including the spa, and the ballroom. I did find that the washrooms were not that clean and the food they had three was lacking in quality. Also the rooms were pretty small. Everything else was great.😃

The Intercontinental is a lovely hotel in the heart of Cairo. I could say a lot of nice things about this hotel but I will take a couple lines to talk about the breakfast. They have the best pastries I tried in my entire Egypt trip and the almond croissant was my favorite. There are a ton of other choices including fresh eggs to order, fresh juices, and traditional Egyptian options. They have regular coffee available but if you prefer a good espresso just ask for it. My waiter Ahmed Salah was very kind and provided an excellent service and made every effort to keep our table happy. If I could make a change to this hotel it would just be to decrease the amount of smoking inside. Unfortunately I was sat in the non-smoking section at the Italian restaurant one night but it was right next to the smoking section and there was smoke during the entire dinner. Summed up: I had an overall good experience here and I would stay here again. Keep up the good work Ahmed!

Everything about my stay here was excellent. The immense hospitality along with the beautiful location, spotless rooms, and gorgeous design made it a truly wonderful experience. The Night and Day breakfast was certainly a highlight of my stay. One waiter in particular, Sammy, certainly elevated the experience, combined with the freshly made food!!

The hotel is very beautiful, has nice, clean and big rooms and the beds are confy. The location is also nice with beautiful views to the Riverside. The problem is that the people at the restaurant are not very nice, quite slow service, food is not particularly great, not a huge variety on the buffet service, one of the mornings we even didn't manage to get any bread product as they replace very slowly the products that have been run out...One of the afternoons during our two days stay in the hotel we tried to get a beer but we didn't manage to get it from any of the restaurants available. The service is not great

This hotel is amazing in all aspects! The rooms are great and the staff is amazing. This is my third time visiting Egypt and this is the only hotel I stay at. I have made great relationships with the staff. Selma, a housekeeper is always so helpful and kind. She is so kind and the best housekeeper I have experienced in all my travels. I am confident and comfortable leaving my belongings in the room with no worries. She makes the room spotless and organizes it perfectly!

we arrived at the hotel on may 13, 2022. we had two rooms reserved for five people. both rooms had two beds. Then, we asked at reception for a thirth bed for one of the rooms because we had paid for 5 beds. After 40 minutes waiting, they tried to enter to the room a box spring and a mattress that seemed to be taken from the garbage, full of stains and very deteriorated. we refused to have it brought into the room and requested a new or sanitary mattress. After more than an hour they told us that they would bring us another mattress but when they brought it we saw that it was the same mattress but covered by a sheet and It happened the same with the box spring. We refused again and that night we shared a bed with two people. The next day we tried to put a written claim but the receptionist suggested the change of the bed and he assured to us that this time there would be a different one and in a good use. ensuring that the mattress change would be that same night. After 2 hours waiting and around 12:30 at night, we decided to go to sleep as we had no answer and no one came to the room. We have been the three nights that we stayed in the hotel sharing a bed with two people

Nice rooms and facilities. Staff very friendly, and the desk staff and Concierge were pretty good. However, far too many of the staff left a lot to be desired. Orders took ages and were often wrong, and everyone seemed more concerned about getting a 5 star trip advisor rating than actually doing the things that get you a 5 star rating. Oh and if the desk say they will be providing a welcome basket and then a takeaway breakfast for you as you’ve an early flight, take it with a pinch of salt. My disappointed kids found that out the hard way

Great hotel. All areas seem well managed. Good food from a range of restaurant options. Terrace restaurant has attentive staff and good food. Nice spacious public/lobby areas. Well maintained pool where everyone is really well looked after by Khaled. The gym is relatively big and well equipped with new equipment and I can recommend the Spa, in particular Rosie.

One of the iconic hotels next to the Nile. From your room, you get an unobstructed view of the Nile. The rooms are spacious and tidy, I love the traditional design on the mirror and the side stool. The hotel has all the amenities you would be looking for, such as the Gym, Spa and swimming pool on the 4th floor; casino, night club and ball room on the 3rd floor; and conference rooms on the second floor. The main restaurant is close to the lobby, and the selection of meals was a bit wanting. I would have loved to have different types of dishes over the period of my stay. The staff are courteous and overall it was a great experience.

Nile terrace has some great reviews - good drinks. I was going to provide 5 stars until Hasan the waiter tried to force me to provide a 5 star review by making me open up my phone and showing me how to do it. Regardless, I recommend to come here. It’s a shame the hotel didn’t answer my emails regarding booking this to watch a football match.

The restaurant service at the hotel was exceptional by all standards. From the moment I entered the restaurant, the staff greeted me with warm smiles and a hearty welcome, and they were fully prepared to meet all my needs. The menu was diverse and excellent, and the dishes were presented beautifully with irresistible flavors. It wasn't just delicious food; it was a comprehensive dining experience with great ambiance and excellent service. Additionally, the staff was always ready to assist and provide excellent recommendations regarding food and drinks. Honestly, dining experience at this hotel was unforgettable and will remain one of the best experiences I've had in hotels.

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Mr. Hanna ❤❤❤ and the entire team at the Intercontinental hotel in Cairo. The impeccable service, elegant decor, and spacious rooms showcased a commitment to excellence. The staff, demonstrated a remarkable level of attentiveness and friendliness, creating a truly enjoyable stay. The amenities, including outstanding restaurants and a rejuvenating spa, further elevated the overall experience. The central location allowed for easy access to key attractions. While the pricing may be on the higher side, the value and comfort offered, it is a worthwhile choice for those seeking a top-tier hotel experience in Cairo.

We had a lunch at the Italian restaurant Pane Vino and I can't decide what was more enjoyable, the food, the drinks or the service! The food was delicious and the waiter who served us, Ahmed, was amazing! 5/5 would recommend!!! We are coming back definitely!
