Seeing the high ranking of this hotel is extremely surprising. Dirty, smelly, loud. Now has construction starting early morning. Smoke is all over. Every single item in this hotel smells like an Ashtray. Non-smoking floors or rooms are nominal only. Weak management that doesn’t have any control over the property. It’s rather normal to see someone smoking in an elevator or staff that smokes in the service area on the non-smoking floor. Where you would expect less of all to see a smoke - spa area and spa floor. But even there ladies smoking in the beauty salon and beauty facilities. There are no penalties for breaking rules lows or even elementary own safety for the guests. So they ignore security, and management and act dangerously for themselves, and are disrespectful to others. I had certain obligations to stay in this hotel so had a couple of experiences here and was changing my rooms more than 8 times according to the smoke or loud parties over which the hotel had no control. Any decent property after creating such a huge amount of inconvenience for a guest would definitely take time or effort to make it up for a guest. Not here. No elementary hospitality skills. Not even an effort to offer something for the such a huge amount of time wasted and extreme discomfort. Management is not even ready to talk to a guest but passes messages via guest relationships and doesn’t bother themselves with such subjects. Values declared by the brand are not respected by its own management. I would appreciate it if the hotel doesn’t respond to this comment about sorry for the inconvenience. There is no sorry, no attention, no care, no respect, and no action will be taken. Worse place I have ever seen and doesn’t deserve even 1 star since minimal standards like safety are not offered here.

Had an excellent stay here. As with any hotel in the Middle East, for an American, the smoking can be a discomfort. But that is everywhere. The team was so warm, welcoming and friendly the entire time. And the food was fresh and excellent. We ate at most of the restaurants and had wonderful meals! Shout out to Anna at Gingko bar who was so kind and wonderful. Thank you!

A fantastic hotel by the Nile River! Exceptional service by the staff to cater to all our needs! We were celebrating our 15-year anniversary on this trip and the staff ensured we were well taken care of. They even had a cake as a kind gesture in the room as we arrived! As they say, it is all in the detail - and they delivered. I particularly liked the temperature-controlled pool on the rooftop. The overall experience is highly recommended for anyone looking to stay in the city of Cairo.

Nice hotel but didn't like the two lobby levels. Lovely room with a view of the Nile. We tried one of the restaurants in the Mall, which was OK. Not impressed with scanning QR code for menus. The one in the room was for in-room dining only. If you wanted the menu for the other restaurants you had to go down to the Reception floor and scan the QR code there. Absolutely no info in the room. I can understand no paperwork in room because of Covid but why not have the menus on the TV or any other info about the hotel you might need. The Onyx Lounge was nice but at night it became a smoking area. After dinner we went back in and it was pretty full. It's the first time I've been told where I can sit by a Lady of the Night! Saw it happen to another couple too. Not something you expect in a 5 star hotel. We dined at the Saigon restaurant, which I highly recommend. We found drinks were really expensive too. 2 x Long Island Iced Tea was £32.

I can't get enough of this place! I've visited countless times, solo, with friends, and with family & kids. The exterior design is simply beautiful, and the outstanding services and facilities never disappoint. Food & coffee options are great, and the spacious rooms are decently maintained. It's easily one of my FAVORITE hotel brands! The luxury, fascinating landscape, and amazing view rooms create a royal experience. The staff is professional, friendly, and super helpful, making me feel like royalty from check-in to check-out. They anticipate and cater to your needs flawlessly. The main restaurant is exceptional, with authentic and high-quality food choices that make every meal an amazing experience. Trust me, you'll love the palatial feel of this hotel. Clean rooms, luxurious restrooms, and polite cleaners and staff add to the perfection. They go above and beyond to ensure your stay is comfortable. the attention to service and detail is impeccable. The suite was comfortable in every way and the view was phenomenal, The location is great, close to the shops, and the pool has a chilled atmosphere. Plus, they offer fantastic experience for both adults and children. You need to try this place at least once; you'll be coming back, just like me! ❤️❤️❤️

I always stay at the Fairmont when I come to Cairo for work, and I always get fantastic service. The rooms are very comfortable and clean, great service from the housekeeping team and their supervisor Karim. Also special mention of Bassem in the restaurant, who made me very welcome and well attended to every morning at breakfast.

This was our first time staying at this amazing property. From the time you walk into the place you feel a relaxed peacefulness. Our accommodations were amazing with beautiful views. The food was special. The staff were always gracious and very accommodating. Also Abdullah housekeeping cleaned our room as we expected. Definitely look forward to our return.

Parties starting after 12PM until 1 AM after after. Strange policy for a hotel to host these things daily, knowing a whole portion of their guests are bothered by this. We have stayed here for 6 days now and haven´t been able to sleep before 1.30 AM. It´s clear from our current experiences that, despite comments from Fairmont to similar complaints, they did not actually address this properly. As a hotel in which it is profoundly difficult to sleep, I feel they fail at delivering the most basic service: a good night´s rest.

Fairmont Nile City was excellent! From the minute I got out of the car to the moment I left, it was a 5 star experience. The concierge was very kind and helped us with planning our trip and what attractions to see. The restaurant, especially our server Ahmed, was beyond first class. The hotel is attached to a mall and the food there was so good, especially at the Deli. We had a delicious pastry for about $2 CAD!! I would highly recommend staying at the Fairmont Nile City for anyone looking for a place to stay in Cairo. Thank you to the whole team for the incredible experience!

All hotel rooms are smoking and smelly even non smoking rooms are full of smoke smell pillows, furniture, it's a horrible experience and it's not worth 20% from the total price. Dina from reception was nice to me but there is no capable management to solve such issue ... be careful non smoking visitors. Every night there is a wedding down below the hotel and makes huge noise

Hello, I went to Egypt with my girlfriend for four nights, we stayed at Fairmont Nile hotel and it was AMAZING!. When we arrived at Fairmont was everything prepared for our arrival the service made us feel like king and queen, not to mention the security there like we arrived at the White House (which made us feel really safe). When we got to the check in they give us an huge upgrade. The room itself was super clean AC system perfect amazing shower and best hotel bed we have slept in so 10/10. We ate at 3 of the 5 or 6 restaurants really good food for good price including the breakfast brunch. Actives there wore enough for us to stay in the hotel and not get board. Then there was our favourite place the rooftop pool area good food and drinks plenty of space and the service was so professional. Last thing I want to mention is the staff, they made your trip million times better and I am talking about everyone from cleaners, waiters, bartenders, service everyone! They worked hard every day they were always there for us and I never saw them not smile to us so friendly you made my trip. Could not recommend a better place to stay at. Best regards. Mr Birkisson.

Fantastic 5 night stay! The rooms are luxurious and sexy (it’s really the best way to describe them). From the minute we walked in the service was excellent. Security is tight with guards and guard dogs checking each car before being allowed in. The breakfast buffet was vast and everything was scrumptious. We would go for the breakfast buffet even if we weren’t hungry! It was THAT good. We came back very late one night and needed dinner and the manager of the main restaurant made us a delicious seafood dinner to order. The rooftop pool was warm and great for laps. I had forgotten my hair tie and goggles and the life guard quickly supplied me with both. The attentive bar staff brought us excellent virgin drinks and snacks to enjoy poolside while over looking the panoramic view of the Nile and Giza. You can see the Great Pyramids on a clear day. Rooms are clean and are well stocked with snacks, drinks, coffee/tea and toiletries. Pillows and mattress were very comfortable. Rooms were very clean and cleaned daily. The main lounges and restaurants can be very loud in the evening but the guest rooms were always quiet. The only critique I have is that the location is a bit out of the way. Overall a very comfortable stay. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Other than the location and the questionable food quality, this is one of the better 5 star hotels in Cairo for the price. It is definitely a newer establishment with 5 star amenities. The room is clean and up to date with a great bathroom/shower set up. A balcony was lacking for me and the beds could be more comfortable, but was very impressed with the espresso machine and frequent water/coffee etc service by the staff. Covid masks were not always worn either by the staff which was also a concern. The gym was great too. The only problem is the food kind of sucks, and is over priced for what it is. Due to the location, you are kind of stuck with no other meal options because nothing is around for you to walk to. So really you have to weigh what is more important to you, location or the amenities itself. As of now I am still split having switched to the Marriott Zamalek for a change of pace and realizing while this location is much better the hotel is a nightmare.

This 5 star hotel is on the Nile River. It looks very beautiful inside and outside. I went there for a special occasion. The hotel is elite, the cafeteria inside is elite. Also prices are good inside. But the only issue was the taste of foods. They could be better. I can not say that I liked the food. Anyway its takes from me 4.5 point out of 5.

This hotel was super nice. I’m not too sure of the location, it was a little hard to get around but that might be Cairo in general. We had a partial view of the Nile and of the city and it was really nice. The staff were really nice. We tried Gingko which was amazing, and the Italian restaurant, and the food was really great. Spent one day at the rooftop pool, which has the best views. I got the sliders at the pool, which were absolutely delicious. The service is next to none. As a foreigner, I felt like most of the staff spoke good English so it was easy to communicate. The hotel set up our transfer from and to the airport, which was really helpful in getting through the customs lines at CAI airport.

This hotel is beautiful, with very friendly and accommodating staff. The house keeping staff is excellent and the hotel is extremely clean. I had one negative encounter with staff - I was asked to cover my Starbucks cup of coffee with Kleenex so as to hide the Starbucks logo to avoid competition between brands. They did not want other hotel guests to see my Starbucks cup of coffee and instead purchase Fairmont coffee. As a Canadian, this is extremely disrespectful and uncalled for. Fair competition between business is not my problem, it is my right to choose what coffee brand I wish to enjoy. This experience leaves me with a negative sentiment towards this hotel. For those coming to explore Egypt - I would say this may not be the best location due to the surrounding heavy traffic (busy street) and unsafe neighbourhood behind. There is not many food or restaurants within walking distance. Overall I enjoyed my stay, and the hospitality. Security is taken seriously at this hotel and you will feel very safe here.

Perfect choice for a stay in Cairo! Excellent location, overlooking the Nile and next to the pleasant promenade along the river. I stayed 4 nights: Room, bathroom, breakfast and service were top, as I would expect from a 5-star hotel. Pleasant rooftop pool with a fantastic view and below a spa with a large sauna and a steambath. Security is very good. Would definitely recommend it!

Honestly speaking, this hotel is absolutely amazing. Great and warm hospitality, delicious and quality food, high class service, and the staff are very kind, helpful with a great hospitality. I would like to thank Bishoy Amgad for taking care of my stay and made my experience in Fairmont amazing and Mina from Fairmont Gold Lounge for his great service with all matter and his friendly. The housekeeping team were very helpful, the experience was very memorable and I would definitely come here again and recommend anyone to come. Thank you for making us feels we are at our home at hotel.

The standing of the hotel is great, but we had a lot of issues during our stay. First the bedroom was smoking when we booked for a non smoking and we asked at the check in for a non smoking on arrival. Then we had to wait again for a new bedroom, the new bedroom was smaller than the previous one… weird when you make a mistake you usually upgrade the customers and not give them a smaller room… Then we booked an offer with included breakfast, and when we ordered the breakfast in the bedroom they asked us to pay. First time of my life that I am staying in an hotel where the breakfast is included only out of the bedroom, never seen that ever before. Then, we had dinner at the Grinko restaurant, the place is super nice, the staff was super nice as well but not at all efficient. Only three tables where occupied and we had to wait 20 minutes before anyone took our order. After the courses we ordered a dessert, 45 minutes later we still had no dessert, so we asked for the check and paid, they told us the dessert was going to arrive in 2 minutes, we waiting again 10 minutes still nothing. We left we had no dessert in the end even though we paid for it. For the check out they called us 15 minutes before, at 12:00pm someone knocked at the door, we were about to get out. I am sorry but you can manage to keep us waiting for an hour to get a dessert, to mistake our room and give us a smoking one but you cannot give us 5 minutes at 12:00pm to get out of the room ?!! That’s not a five stars hotel service that you provide. I am super disappointed by my stay. We won’t come back.

The hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms are 5 star. However, our room and even the pillows smelled of cigarette smoke, and the smoke also hit us when we got off the elevator. Others complained as well. The hotel needs some floors for non-smokers as so many seem to smoke in Egypt. You should be given a non-smoking alternative for entire floors as so many Americans and other tourists do not smoke. That is the only reason I would not come back to this fine hotel.

It was great stay and friendly stuff. The breakfast was excellent, starting every morning with Ola’s smile and welcoming attitude, it made our days in Fairmont. Loved the place. However, one thing I didn’t like. when one of the stuff asked for my phone to write good a review through my google account by himself! which is unethical and unacceptable, hopefully it was just an individual misjudgment.

Outstanding hotel. Year after year it’s consistent and has remained an absolute gem in the beautiful city of Cairo. Fairmont Nile city rivals any other competition in the area and upholds the Fairmont name for service and experience. I LOVE visiting Cairo and this hotel is the reason for that. Every single meal eaten here exceeded our expectations. Every staff we have interactions with are respectful and they remember us from all our previous visits. By far this is the best hotel in Cairo.

Hotel is amazing. The guest service makes you feel like a king. The rooms are too good to be true and exceptionally clean. My only problem had to do that while I was staying on the right wing I could hear up until the 0300 in the morning the belly dancing club.

I stayed at the fairmont on 2 separate occasions during my visit to egypt. I loved it! Everything smells so wonderful when you walk into the lobby. There are beautiful flowers and greenery adorning the space. The staff are very welcoming and kind, they also offer a beverage of fresh juice upon check-in. They are also very helpful with any questions you may have. The rooms are a decent size, and everything is very thoughtfully placed and immaculate. The bed and pillows are so comfortable, I couldn't wait to come back at the end of my trip to sleep on them one more time. The location was good as well. I have no complaints and would definitely stay again. I did not have a chance to eat at any of the restaurants. So I can't speak for the food.

Lovely hotel located in the center of Cairo with gorgeous views of the Nile. You definitely can’t go wrong with planning your stay here and I wouldn’t search further. Has 3 diverse restaurants with cuisines from around the world, friendly staff all over and couldn’t be happier with their hospitality under the leadership of Amr and Dina. Highly recommend and will definitely return.

The location is excellent, staff were very friendly and nice. But 1 - when i first came they offered me a twin bed room or a king bed room in the smoking area, while i asked when make the reservation specifically for a king bed in the nonsmoking area. They had to make me ask foe it again! 2- there was no coffee machine in the room and i had to ask for it and wait for the room service to bring it late at night. 3- there was no tissues in the room! 😂 only in the bathroom and that is weird. 4- note that the hotel isn’t su dry

Beautiful hotel, the only downfall is the cigarette smoke. My room always smelled like cigarettes, at first I thought it was the incense but realized it’s the cigarettes. This is a beautiful hotel. Most of the staff is friendly and courteous. The cleanliness is not as it should be esp during Covid but my major complaint is SCAMS they run on Foreigners. I rented a bus for me and my family to tour the city. I was told by Mr Muhammad at the concierge that he was giving me a free tour guide. HA!!! Took me and my family on a tour that cost big! Taking us to overpriced jewelry stores, charging hundreds for things that I know cost dollars. After I expressed my disgust I was offered a refund that I never got and charged 100 USD to take a. Can to the airport when it only cost me 9 USD to get to the hotel. I was told that there are prices for Egyptians and one for Americans, when we are all HUMANS!!! I wish I made this up!!! I will continue to tell everyone of how I was treated here. You should be ashamed!!!

For my very first visit to Cairo, decided to stay at the Fairmont from the 11th to the 14th of October 2021, in brief: 1. Staff: All the facility staff were courteous, hospitable, helpful, and friendly. All get full marks. 2. Room: Clean, spacious, and the AC perfectly operates across all the temperature ranges, from very cold to the very hot, 3. Restaurants: had my daily breakfast at L’Uliveto and loved my daily start there. Wide variety of options like the fresh backed pastries and croissants, fresh juices (loved the fresh mango and pomegranate), freshly cut cheeses, and the standard eggs station 😋 thumbs up to all. Tried the same restaurant for a dinner where I ordered mushroom and truffle risotto, it was really flavor rich and delicious. 4. Gym: just awesome! Top quality LifeFitness equipment in excellent condition. Gym overlooks the Nile and located on a high level. 5. Cleanliness: full marks. Cons: my one and only observation was on the noise coming from the weddings at the lower level which could be heard in the rooms. Conclusion: great hotel, will certainly come again, and a huge thumbs up 👍🏻

I had the enormous pleasure of staying at the Fairmont Nile City, and I can honestly say it was one of the best hotel stays I've ever had. The hotel is beautiful--a massive complex with numerous dining outlets and a sleek, modern lobby. The location is central and a quick ride away from most of the attractions you'll want to see within Cairo. I stayed on Fairmont Gold, and was treated like a king. I was given an incredible suite overlooking the Nile River and the western sunset. I want to give a special shout-out to the staff at this location who were warm, welcoming, and helpful throughout the stay. I planned to propose to my girlfriend, and the concierge team arranged a private car and tour guide who took us out to the pyramids--I thought the tour guide was excellent and the price for all of it was very fair for the experience. Coming back after the proposal, the room was filled with flower petals, balloons, and sweets (including a heart-shaped chocolate cake). Mina, who works in Fairmont Gold, had gotten the photos of the proposal from our tour guide, and printed them off while we were gone, and those were waiting in the room as well--his service and thoughtfulness was incredible! My fiancé was floored by the whole experience. If you're looking for a place to stay in Cairo, this is the place for you. Just a truly impressive property with really high-quality staff. Can't wait to visit again sometime.

Our rooms were very nice with marble bathrooms and a great view of the Nile. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. We ate at the Arabian restaurant and the Asian restaurant and both had great service and food. There is a cute, underutilized bar just outside the Asian restaurant as well which I recommend trying.

We ate at the Gingko Restaurant inside the hotel and it was amazing! Amira and Ahmed and the rest of the staff were wonderful and very courteous. The food was delicious and the view from the outdoor seating area was beautiful with a very relaxing atmosphere. Would definitely recommend :)

The bar was so great with lovely views and music. The staff were really friendly and made great drinks. Bombo from ginkgo made tasty drinks and entertained us with some magic tricks! Highly recommend if you’re visiting Cairo.

One of the best in downtown if not the best. Well designed and nicely decorated. Lots of outlets and connected to two twin towers full of offices with some shopping mall underneath. Nice Ramadan vibes. We had a lovely Iftar gathering by Accor in Bab El Nil. Food was as usual one of the best that I have had during Ramadan. Thank you for the kind hospitality and well trained staff. Kindly keep it up. All the best.

Great hotel in the heart of Cairo. We received 5-star service from the very beginning. My fiancé and I travel often and our stay here was one of our best stays thanks to the friendly and caring staff. I highly recommend staying here when in Cairo. Thanks Fairmont Nile City hotel!

Probably the best hotel in town, the staff are super friendly and welcoming and the rooms are clean and big I've been here for 3 days and will stay a few more days i recommend the big suite. In the hotel you'll find everything you need casino restaurants, spa and a roof pool. The only thing i dislikes is the security check. The location is perfect near to everything you'll need. Highly recommend hotel

Spent two nights recently at the Nile Fairmont and was pleasantly surprised. The hotel itself is very nicely designed and what you would expect for a 5 star. Pro’s: - Rooms are spacious, beds very comfortable - Location is good although a bit of hassle if you are going in by foot: have to go through two sets of security (plus side is its very safe!) - We ate at the Saigon and Bab el Nil restaurants, both times the food was amazing and really exceeded our expectations. - Staff were very accommodating and friendly, but not in an overbearing way like in some 5 star hotels. They also spoke perfect English which was appreciated. Con’s: - Although the bedrooms are generally quite nice, i think some of the furniture could do with being replaced as it was looking a little worse-for-wear (scratches, marks etc). In Europe you would not find a 5 star with that kind of furniture but i understand the standards in Egypt might not be as high. - Although the food was amazing in both restaurants, the service was a little slow considering both times we ate it was very quiet. In the Bab El Nil restaurant we ordered mix grill and had to keep asking for rice, salad etc. after our meat was already delivered when everything should have came at once. To be honest the con’s are very small and the overall experience we had here was very pleasant, so i would gladly stay again. Just if you are used to high end 5 star hotels in Europe/Dubai etc it might fall a little bit short if you hold the standard to the same height.

An amazing welcome from the Fairmont staff. Bags were taken to our room so that we could enjoy breakfast. and Housekeeping was so sweet and thorough. Thank you to Ahmed Gamal. Stayed here with the Michael Baisden travel club and had thee best party up on the pool deck (the drinks could have been a bit stronger) but other than that we had a great party and the DJ was great. Thank you to the incredible staff

👍👍 Delicious shawerma. Also had the liver, but amazingly the Star might be the mango juice. It’s the best I’ve ever had, just perfectly ripe mango in chunks.

😠 I went there with family. Sat on the 2nd floor. waited aprox 20 minutes for someone to come and take our order. No one came until I got up and told one of the staff about it. They took our order. 3 medium-sized plates of koshary, no huge order or anything fancy. we waited and waited. People came aft...
